We were initially told the wait would be 25 minutes -- totally reasonable. But after receiving a text 15 minutes later saying we were next, we returned only to be told the kitchen was backed up and it would be another 15 minutes. Then came multiple conflicting texts, including one saying we were being removed from the waitlist for not responding... while we were literally standing there. We were finally seated about 20 minutes after that. It only got worse. It took 40 minutes for food to arrive, and even then, my daughter was served first while my husband and I waited another 15 minutes for ours. The food itself was incredibly disappointing: "poached" eggs that were basically hard-boiled, burnt toast, burnt sausage, and scrambled eggs that came out as a firm, molded mound instead of anything soft or freshly made. To top it off, the entire restaurant felt chaotic. We heard multiple crashes from the kitchen, servers openly complaining, and even staff encouraging the host not to walk out mid-shift. Meanwhile, takeout and delivery orders were flying out while dine-in customers sat waiting for long stretches. Overall, disorganized, poorly managed, and not worth the time or money. The chairs are comfortable and they automatically provided all three utensils; most places only provide a fork and knife and I always have to request a spoon. These are a couple of the menu items I explored: Coffee: I usually never order coffee whenever I dine out because I am not a fan of milk or half & half. First Watch provides vanilla and hazelnut coffee creamers. As a bonus, the coffee is served in a refillable carafe ( similar to IHOP); if it is empty, the server will gladly refill it. Double Bacon Parmesan Hash: This was a unique, but phenomenal breakfast plate. I knew this signature item was going to be a winner when I saw the sidewalk billboard poster. It was topped with a vegetable medley, over easy eggs, bacon and smothered in Alfredo sauce. The plate was very filling and I didn't feel bloated afterwards. This new brunch spot is located on the Route 4 side of parking lot in BTC. Modern cozy dining space with lots of seats available. We went there on Sunday noon time and surprisingly it wasn't packed. We got a table right away. The menu has lots of brunch style dishes, combos of half sandwich, green and soups and a variety of drinks. I loved the purple haze, it was citrusy but little sweet at the same time. I ordered the carne asada breakfast tacos from the holiday menu. It came with three soft tacos filled with eggs, beef cubes, pickled onion, avocado, pica de gallo, and the valentina hot sauce. All the ingredients together tasted delicious. It was a good portion for lunch. I was able to switch the beans with greens as well. The staff and our server all were very friendly. All the drinks and dishes came out within short time. New spot by the Bergen Mall, located where the tire shop used to be. They have a few specials, the million dollar bacon is good with honey and the pepper I could've done without. The million dollar potatoes is the same thing as seasoned potatoes with the million dollar bacon crushed, and some sour cream, I didn't like that nearly as much. Came here for Valentine's Day weekend fully expecting chaos, and yes, it was packed. Luckily I checked in through the app, which made everything smooth. We were seated right when the app notified us. The restaurant was clean, bright, and well organized. Our first server, Samantha, was incredible. I started with the seasonal Pineapple Express drink. Pineapple, orange, coconut water, lime, agave, and a mint crystal rim. It tasted fresh, not syrupy, and super refreshing. Food wise, we ordered the Traditional Breakfast with bacon, fresh seasoned potatoes, and a biscuit. The biscuit was a little cold the first day, but everything else was great. I also got the limited time B.E.C. which was outstanding. Hardwood smoked bacon, folded eggs, aged cheddar, sweet peppers, arugula, Calabrian chili aioli, roasted garlic aioli on griddled sourdough. Buttery, slightly spicy, creamy, and packed with flavor. I added Bob's Red Mill cheesy grits and the blueberry lemon cornbread. The cornbread with whipped lemon butter was a sleeper hit. The potatoes were excellent, well seasoned but not overly salty. The bacon had that perfect edge crisp with great flavor. This location was so good we came back the next day. Same Traditional Breakfast, and this time the biscuit was warmer and the potatoes came in a full bowl. I switched it up and ordered the Bacado Omelet with bacon, avocado, Monterey Jack, pico, greens, and toast, plus cheesy grits again. The grits were even cheesier and creamier this time. I added sparkling water and a Belgian waffle for good measure. Everything was excellent. Great portions and fair pricing. Shoutout to our second server Ariday. Friendly, sweet, and very helpful. I also took home the limited Chimichurri Steak and Eggs Hash. Great portion, tender steak, and good flavors overall, but it was very salty which took away from it. We opted for the window counter and skipped the line which was a 50 minute wait. Even so, our server was great and foos came out hot. The menu is varied with a slightly Latin slant on most dishes. Let them know if you want coffee or not, the will give you a jug/pitcher and charge (free refills). The coffee tasted like a okay-decent medium-roast and the "double bacon parmesean hash" was a solid, good meal for the start of the morning. They were able to get my over-medium eggs right. One thing to note, especially going with my friend whos an avid gym-goer, he was able to count his macros and calories better then other spots as he stated so thats a plus. Came here for brunch on a Saturday. We were a party of 7 and the wait was about 1 hour which was okay I guess since there's a shopping mall there. We shop a bit then went back to wait. The service wasn't bad but the food did take awhile to come. We waited about 20-30 mins for the food to come. The food was pretty good. I got salmon eggs Benedict with potatoes on the side. My potatoes were a bit burnt but luckily I'm okay with burnt food. My husband got carrot cake pancakes and that was really good. Have to say... one of the better pancakes I've had. Upon arrival around 1pm on a Wednesday afternoon, we were quickly seated but the place was fairly lively with lunch goers. The decor is farm fresh with wooden decorations and satins on the wall. After glances of the menu, we decided to stick to the tried and true classic American breakfast, pancake/waffle, apple chicken sausage with scrambled eggs. My 2600th review goes to First Watch! I had been to a First Watch in another state before and liked the food. When I found out they were opening one nearby, I wanted to check it out. I had signed up for their emails/promotions ahead of their opening and had a coupon for a BOGO free entrée for my birthday. Unfortunately, I didn't know that the coupon was not valid on the expiration date (you have to use it before that date, so just keep that in mind). We still ate there anyway. My daughter, hubby, and I stopped in on a Saturday at around 12:30. We were quoted a 35 minute wait, but it was closer to an hour. But the nice thing is that you can shop around, they'll text you when your table is ready, and you have 10 minutes to get there. I had the Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl (quinoa, kale, shredded carrots, roasted tomatoes topped with chicken breast, basil pesto sauce, lemon white balsamic dressing, Feta cheese and fresh herbs). This is what I had when I first tried First Watch and it's just as good as I remembered it. It's actually what made me start liking quinoa in the first place. The chicken breast was perfectly cooked, and the dressing gave it a nice zest. For a drink, I had the Kale Tonic Fresh Juice (Kale, Fuji apple, English cucumber and lemon). This was very refreshing but a bit sweet so I watered it down myself. Hubby had the Works Omelet, which he upgraded with Million Dollar Potatoes as the side, and he seemed to like it. I just saw that they have a seasonal menu, so it's nice that they have their classic items but also some other dishes on rotation. It's located in the Bergen Town Center towards the back by Homegoods & Kohl's - they also have their own lot right in front. I had the honor of visiting during the family & friends event and everything was absolutely delicious. I tried my son's farmer's skillet hash (5/5) and I ordered the trifecta with a banana granola almond pancake, chicken apple sausage and over easy eggs (5/5), also tried the millions dollar potatoes(5/5) and wow! They are so tasty! For beverages I had a cold brew (5/5) perfectly made not bitter, just smooth one of the best cold brews I've had! I decided to try the new spot at the Bergen Town mall. Good strong coffee! Nice servers and a very nice atmosphere. The breakfast was ok, the eggs were good but the chicken sausage patties were a little hard and dry. The potatoes were very tasty with the upgrade which made them pretty darn good. They serve a multigrain bread with some jam that made them taste great. Overall I would recommend the place but I should have had my favorite which is French toast, I saw someone who ordered it and they looked delicious. Next time I will try that. The menu is overwhelmingly large with very small print which gave me some difficulty to read. Maybe some reading glasses would be helpful to bring with you. The other was the Healthy Turkey (Turkey, house-roasted onions, tomatoes, spinach and Feta cheese in a cage-free egg white omelet. Served with sliced tomatoes and whole grain artisan toast). Was looking forward to try the breakfast at First Watch and believe me iI was not disappointed. I ordered the hash potatoes with mushrooms, zucchini, onions, red peppers. Multi grain toast with butter and jelly yummy, but wait the coffee with oat milk was sooo delicious. What was cool was the coffee pot left at our table for hot refill. Maria our server was very pleasant and patient with us as we try reading the menu (we forgot our reading glasses lol). We live in the area and had high hopes for a new breakfast/brunch spot. The interior was nice, clean and modern. Unfortunately, our experience was not a good one. The cutlery was not clean- we asked for a new set. The items on the menu all sounded delicious. There were lots of choices. When the food came out it was not all hot. The potatoes were cold/lukewarm. The eggs, cold. The biscuit with sausage gravy was tasty and hot. I asked for water and was brought a glass with lipstick still on the rim. Gross. By this time we were ready to leave. Won't return anytime soon. Although most food was left on our plates our waitress just ignored that and dropped the check. Good concept but poor execution. When we arrived, we were told there would be about a 15‑minute wait, but we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 10 minutes.The service was excellent. Our waitress came over right away, offered coffee, and took our drink order. She was attentive without being overbearing and quickly returned to take our food order. I ordered the Traditional, my wife had the biscuits with turkey sausage and gravy, and my father ordered the Floridian French Toast. We also shared an order of the Million Dollar Bacon.The food came out fast, everything was fresh, and every dish tasted excellent. On this trip I tried the Frittata Rustica : An Italian-style omelet with kale, house-roasted Crimini mushrooms, onions and tomatoes topped with Mozzarella and Parmesan. Served with ciabatta toast and lemon-dressed organic mixed greens. Everything was so fresh. Delish. Accompanied by the ever refreshing Purple Haze ( juice) made with lemon, cane sugar, butterfly pea flower tea and a hint of lavender. Although our waiter was friendly, and new location looks lovely, unfortunately our dining experience was unfavorable. Coffee was weak and lacked flavor, waited over 18 minutes for my side of poached eggs to arrive after my skillet was delivered. Needless to say I didn't get to eat with my family. One dish was missing a key ingredient. And Not much filling in the roast beef havarti sandwich. Also front of house staff seemed disinterested until manager came. Perhaps they are still working out the logistics but not sure if we will come back to this location. read more

The service was great everyone was super friendly and attentive :) We ordered the Trifecta with waffles, ham, and eggs, and omg the waffles were SO good !! They were perfectly crispy on the outside and light and chewy on the inside I also tried the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and loved it, the tomatoes and lemon zest made it taste super fresh ! The Kale Tonic was really refreshing and pairs up nicely with the meals, overall really nice! read more

First and last time! We visited this place the morning of Monday 12/29/25 and it was simply awful. The 2 stars are for the coffee which was the only thing that actually tasted good. Over 45 minutes to get our food. Our server took our order and then disappeared the entire time. No check backs, updates, nothing. We had to flag someone else down who was not our server, to get us the water we asked for that our awful server forgot. When she finally brought the food out, she ran away so quickly we didn't even get a chance to tell her we had no silverware! So again, we flagged down someone/anyone to help us. Food was overly salty and barely edible. If Management is reading these reviews, please take notice who was serving tables roughly 10am on this day and then kindly fire her. read more

Me and my mom had such a great time at First Watch in Paramus during the Family & Friends breakfast! The food looked just as good as it tasted fluffy pancakes with fresh butter, perfectly seasoned potatoes, and eggs cooked just right. The sausage was juicy, and the coffee was really good. The server Adrian was very nice and kept checking up on us I also tried the kale tonic juice, and it honestly made me feel so refreshed and energized super light and fresh, not too sweet. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had a warm, bright atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy. Definitely one of the best breakfast spots in Paramus me and my mom will be coming back soon! read more

App my be off a little it may say 7 people ahead of you and you count 10 groups being seated maybe because they returned late to be seated. They have about 8 benches for waiting give or take between inside & outside. They have 3 flavors of creamer to choose from. They have additional seasonal menus. Like the holiday menu that had mint mocha iced coffee. TIP: cap your iced coffee off w extra coffee left over if your party is having coffee & are done refilling w carafe. If you get the million dollar bacon ask for it crispy but say not burnt. Issues I have exp'd in Union & Montvale was English muffin coming out 5 minutes after food; to avoid that here in Paramus I reminded them I wanted it with my meal. Waffles were crispy and fluffy enough not hard or dry. Sausage quality tasted 95% better than your average place - so exceptional. (I got mine well done and they were perfect not overcooked) eggs I asked for it over easy eggs but one came out medium hard. Which was fine. The compote & jam given with pancakes and English muffin were exceptional should be used and not over looked. Not sure if maybe one was Huckleberry. Our server Megan was quick accurate and friendly. The people busing tables were hustlers. You pay at the front the front cashier at checkout was doing his job and triple teaming calling in guests too. Nice to know they open at 7AM to get there before mall people. Bathrooms were well kept even with all the usage. read more
