They were perfectly crispy on the outside and light and chewy on the inside I also tried the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict and loved it, the tomatoes and lemon zest made it taste super fresh ! Me and my mom had such a great time at First Watch in Paramus during the Family & Friends breakfast! The food looked just as good as it tasted fluffy pancakes with fresh butter, perfectly seasoned potatoes, and eggs cooked just right. The sausage was juicy, and the coffee was really good. The server Adrian was very nice and kept checking up on us I also tried the kale tonic juice, and it honestly made me feel so refreshed and energized super light and fresh, not too sweet. The service was friendly and attentive, and the whole place had a warm, bright atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy. First and last time! We visited this place the morning of Monday 12/29/25 and it was simply awful. The 2 stars are for the coffee which was the only thing that actually tasted good. Over 45 minutes to get our food. Our server took our order and then disappeared the entire time. No check backs, updates, nothing. We had to flag someone else down who was not our server, to get us the water we asked for that our awful server forgot. When she finally brought the food out, she ran away so quickly we didn't even get a chance to tell her we had no silverware! So again, we flagged down someone/anyone to help us. Food was overly salty and barely edible. If Management is reading these reviews, please take notice who was serving tables roughly 10am on this day and then kindly fire her. read more

They have about 8 benches for waiting give or take between inside & outside. They have 3 flavors of creamer to choose from. They have additional seasonal menus. Like the holiday menu that had mint mocha iced coffee. TIP: cap your iced coffee off w extra coffee left over if your party is having coffee & are done refilling w carafe. If you get the million dollar bacon ask for it crispy but say not burnt. Issues I have exp'd in Union & Montvale was English muffin coming out 5 minutes after food; to avoid that here in Paramus I reminded them I wanted it with my meal. Waffles were crispy and fluffy enough not hard or dry. Sausage quality tasted 95% better than your average place - so exceptional. (I got mine well done and they were perfect not overcooked) eggs I asked for it over easy eggs but one came out medium hard. Which was fine. The compote & jam given with pancakes and English muffin were exceptional should be used and not over looked. Not sure if maybe one was Huckleberry. Our server Megan was quick accurate and friendly. The people busing tables were hustlers. You pay at the front the front cashier at checkout was doing his job and triple teaming calling in guests too. Nice to know they open at 7AM to get there before mall people. Bathrooms were well kept even with all the usage. read more

Be prepared to wait. The lines are long. The place is nice and clean and the staff is very polite and knowledgeable. The food is good. Nothing crazy to write home about but good food to warm you up on a dreary day. If you're at the mall and want a nice breakfast or lunch spot I would recommend it, but not to specifically drive here due to location and lines. read more

First time to this location and it was clean, the seating was quick, the restaurant is bright and the chairs comfortable. Our server was bubbly and quickly took a beverage order and gave us ample time to review the menu. I had an omelet which came with a salad light dressing. The omelet was a bit overcooked for my liking but was toast and nicely seasoned. I also ordered a biscuit which was buttery and delicious. Let me start by saying I go to the First Watch in Montvale and even in Hershey PA. - so was very excited that one was opening in Paramus. Went at 11:30 today and let me say I hope they work out the kinks because it was NOT good. My eggs were cold, I received salad instead of potatoes, the toast was also cold and stale! My mother orders a soup and sandwich and the club sandwich bread was not toasted and was so stale it was breaking as she ate it. I arrived at First Watch at 1:30pm on Sunday January 4th. I sat at 2:00pm. The kitchen is advertised as open until 2:30pm but on this day it was clearly already closed. They advertise all fresh ingredients but clearly the kitchen was ready to leave and put together whatever scraps they had quickly to serve me this sandwich. My family had gone the day prior and described this sandwich as "Huge, mouth watering and delicious - a generous amount of bacon and avocado piled high. The egg was over easy so when they cut into it the juice drenched the sandwich and it was filling. A quality amount of arugula and dressing. The breakfast potatos were plentiful and crispy." This is not what I was served today. The egg was fully cooked through, dry and flavorless. The cook clearly had an extra old egg laying around which he used in my sandwich. I had two absolutely tiny pieces of bacon that you can't even see in the photo. There were two tiny pieces of avocado the size of quarters on the bottom. They forgot to put on the dressing! They forgot to bring out the potatos. When the waitress came I told her and she brought out oily, mushy breakfast potatos with a hair in them. You can clearly see a dry egg in the sandwich that isn't piled high at all and isn't fresh with no ingredients visible under the brioche other then the egg and some sparce arugua. My waitress disappeared for awhile, not returning until 2:27pm. I said can I put in something else since this wasn't filling? She said let me ask my manager. She returns and said "My manager is being stubborn, he doesn't want to put in any more food for you because it's two minutes past 2:25". I was never warned of the kitchen closing or offered last call. I am extremely disappointed, won't return and will never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had been to this restaurant with a girlfriend of mine and I have to say it was wonderful. The food was absolutely outstanding. Particularly those million dollar potatoes. They were fantastic. The service was so good. The waitress was very attentive and modified things as we requested. Coffee was great. It's so nice that they keep refilling your ice water and give you lots of lemons put into it, which is a favorite of mine. The fresh squeeze orange juice was also really delicious. The decor is really welcoming and very casual. Very comfortable. Nice big booths to be able to relax into is one of my favorite things. I would definitely recommend going there and I will definitely be back there again. read more

My husband and I went on 10/23. I order Chile Chorizo which first didn't have any chorizo. It was a plain omelette with some, I supposed, caramelized onions and some chopped chiles. No flavor. No seasonings, no salt or pepper...disgusting! It was accompanied by some greens taking out of a bag, again without dressing. The only thing I ate was the bread they put in the dish. For sure I'll not recommend or I'll be back ever. Another thing I notice. Is that every single item gets a separate tax charge and another charge for the entire check!? I found that very strange!! I'm writing to express my disappointment with my recent visit to your Bergen Town Center location in Paramus, NJ (Suite 100) on November 1, 2025, at 10:21 AM (Ticket #30016). I ordered what was advertised as Eggs Benedict, but what I received was an open-faced sandwich with some salad on the side. This is not what an Eggs Benedict should be. The dish did not include the traditional components--poached eggs, English muffin, Canadian bacon, and hollandaise sauce--that define an authentic Benedict. It felt misleading and disrespectful to customers who expect honesty and quality from your menu descriptions. I've always thought of First Watch as a place that values freshness and integrity, but this experience made me question that. We love First Watch - unfortunately this location other locations we have visited. Four of us ordered food and one dish came out 15 minutes after the three others. One of the dishes was completely dry and was mostly burnt potatoes. We were then charged for an extra tea but our waitress never came by to have this corrected. Service was very slow and overall we were disappointed by our visit. We will keep visiting the Montvale location. read more
