Our server was easy going and helpful in accommodating me as a vegetarian. I had the panini without the chicken and substituted mushrooms and avocado. My husband ordered the crepe. They offered two little slips to each customer - one for a savory crepe and one for a sweet and you can build you own. Great concept but it would be beneficial if the server confirmed the order because we asked for nutella, banana, strawberry, and ice cream and got 2/4. We were in a rush to leave so forgot to check the receipt to see if we were charged for the others; however it was $48 (w/o tip) for 1 panini, 1 crepe and 1 latte so a bit overpriced for the quality of food, in my opinion. The sandwich and crepe were both just okay, nothing to rave about. The drink was aesthetically pleasing with the iced Bear and tasted great. We asked for whipped cream on the latte but our server forgot that too. She also forgot to provide us water until we asked and it came at the end of the meal. Outside dining was not optimal as it's right next to the railroad tracks and quite loud. There is a kids play area which I thought was a nice addition to the space, but I do wish it was gated off for the younger kids as it's so close to the road! Overall, I found that it was a bit overrated and underwhelming... there are so many restaurants to choose from in the area that I wouldn't opt to come back here.
Cute place! While this place is tucked away and almost hard to find, they have a good amount of outdoor seating and tables inside too. Decor is cozy and they serve an assortment of pastries, codes, gelati. Their espresso is bold and flavorful. I had one over a scoop of vanilla gelato. I was there for an event last night and impressed with the server. She single handedly tended to everyone's non-stop requests for fancy coffees, pastries, gelato cones, etc. She politely took care of everyone, nobody had to wait long and everything she created was beautiful! If I'm every in the area again, I'd totally stop by for a treat. Parking is in the streets, likely available around the corner. There is a bathroom inside.
Love, love, love Soma! Came here with a group of ladies this afternoon and it did not disappoint. Soma is tucked away from the main roads and is located by the train station. The outdoor space looked lovely (and kid-friendly!) but it was too cold so we opted for inside seating. The decor is thoughtful and cozy. The drinks were amazing. Service was friendly. Would love to come back soon! A hidden gem for sure.
Really cute little cafe. It's tiny with only 7 tables inside, but worth checking out. I got creme brulee coffee and a crepe. My husband a cappuccino and the pesto chicken sandwich. Their desserts looked divine but I was too full. Definitely next time!
Such a great addition to the area! My sister and I visited on Christmas Eve and immediately fell in love with the cute interior. The ambiance was peaceful with lots of natural light, fun lighting fixtures, greenery, art, and seasonal decor. Our server let us pick any table we wanted and brought over menus right away. The specialty coffee drink selection was amazing, and we had the hardest time choosing what to get. I went with the Creme Brûlée latte and my sister chose the Kinder Surprise (also as a latte, though it comes as an espresso, too). The presentation of both drinks was beautiful and they were absolutely delicious. I loved torched foam on the Creme Brûlée latte - I'd never seen that anywhere else before! For food, we shared the Avocado Benedict and a Savory Crepe. The menu came with a little checklist to build your own Crepe and we chose smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomato, onion, and capers. The Crepe was so tasty, and it was cool watching them make it fresh. The Avocado Benedict was also pretty good, although the avocado wasn't quite ripe. The hollandaise sauce was also less thick than normal, but still tasted great. Overall though, we loved this place - would happily return to try more items!

We got coffee that came in the cutest pumpkin mugs with a cookie. For lunch, we enjoyed an omelette and greek salad. The plating and presentation make me wanna come back every season!! Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the area
This is my first time at the café, and after reading the rave reviews, I have to agree about the amazing service and scrumptious menu selections. It's a small but quaint café near the train station which features customizable crêpes that are made fresh in front of you. I'm not one for overly sweet crêpes so the dishes are the perfect balance of sweetness. We also ordered Panini and more savory crêpes, and everything was amazingly fresh and tasty. I also have to give high marks for the amazing service. The only thing to be aware of is that the parking is limited in that area because of its train station location but if you don't mind paying the meters, the place is definitely well worth the visit. It will probably be one of our go to breakfast places. Highly recommend!!

We were in the area for some work and searched for good brunch places nearby. This place comes at top with good reviews so we thought let's go. The decor and ambience was soo beautiful and inviting plus they have small games on each table which were fun.. the perfect cozy cafe vibe..We both got omelettes and it was really good along with their coffees. Their coffees are really next level good and above that I like the service while doing the payment they had cookies and other bakery items on their counter. I asked my husband if he wants a pistachio cookie as he always loves pistachio flavored stuff and he said no as we're cutting our sugar intake. the Owner was so so sweet she came and she was like no now you're having it on the house and she forcefully gave us not one but two cookies saying you came here first time this us from us .. such a sweet gesture and they have a customer for life!
I love this place even though this is my first visit. Will return as it is a relaxing atmosphere. Service is amazing and friendly. Support Waldwick local women own business. I loved the avocado benny, a great non meat option. It was fresh and very tasty. The hot cafe latte was very nice, and I loved the presentation. The iced cafe latte is even better with frozen teddy bear coffee. It will not be watered down. Check out the picture, it is so cute according to my wife. I will return often to try their other offerings especially their sweets. Unfortunately they do not open later than 6PM as this would be a great weekday dinner option. Good work life balance especially since they open early. Much success to the crew here, looking forward to them being around for decades to come. Keep up the service and quality of food. Ordered 6 matchas and 4 coffees, but unfortunately, the matchas were completely off. As you can see in the photo, they weren't green at all and didn't taste like matcha--they tasted exactly like Fruity Pebbles cereal milk. Disappointed since we ordered so many, hopefully they will improve their matcha or they probably should remove it from the menu. read more
Visited this small and cozy cafe for breakfast on the weekend. I got a matcha latte and the hearty omelette. The matcha was sweeter than I prefer, but still good. Omelette was tasty, but nothing special. Presentation was super cute though! Inside was clean and cute. Not many tables, so there may be a wait depending on how busy it is when you come. Service was great despite how busy it got. I can see myself coming back here! read more

Great place to eat relax ! The cafe is hidden by the waldwick train station. It's nice and peacful. When pulling up they have street parking and not really a lot. You park near the new condo it's misleading. This was the only issue. When we walked up you can sit outside or inside . The atmosphere is nice you could meet up with friends or read a book. The staff were very nice and didn't rush us out. We order sandwiches ,coffee and gelato . It was delicious and big portions. One of the people in our party never tried gelato they gave us sample. After one taste we order for everyone haha I would go back again for the food, atmosphere and nice staff. Honestly everything was great highly recommend read more

This past Sunday my wife, daughter and I stopped in for brunch to this quaint little cafe' not knowing what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised to say the least. We had to wait a few minutes for a table to open up, which wasn't a big deal at all and worth the wait. I ordered a double espresso to start and let's just say they make a great espresso, give it a try. The freshly squeezed orange juice is an excellent addition to your meal. My wife ordered the eggs benny, which she liked. My daughter had a crepe which had Nutella, Bananas & Strawberries it looked and tasted amazing. I'm a traditional brunch guy, I had the country omelette which was good. We definitely enjoyed ourselves at Soma and will be back again to dine at this quaint cafe'. I would recommend you stop in for breakfast, brunch, or even lunch you won't be disappointed. read more
I visited Soma with a small group on a rainy Sunday. We thought that we would be able to order to-go, but it's really ideal for a sit down visit. It was rather busy, but the amazing staff prioritized getting every customer into a seat. I've never seen such efficient staff, so I was beyond impressed. We all ordered coffees and food, all of which tasted fresh and delicious. The server was very helpful with making sure my item was gluten-free, allowing me to enjoy my experience even more. There were many outdoor seats, sadly neglected due to the weather. Although small in size, Soma packs a big punch. read more

I've been here a few times and have always enjoyed it. My omelette and salad were good and the ambiance is very cute. It a good brunch spot to meet up with girl friends! Good service as well! There's nothing extraordinary about this restaurant but it is a solid option for brunch for a group of no more than four people. read more
Ordered delivery to work as I was craving a crepe and stumbled upon the hidden gem that is Soma. Delivery was extremely efficient for a Saturday morning. My crepe was customized exactly how I wanted and a good portion for the price and the box is quite cute as well. The strawberries and bananas were cut fresh which was a huge plus. I also ordered a coffee, which was their Cream brûlée and it was phenomenal. I cannot wait to go and eat there in person and explore the rest of their menu! read more

Tried it out on July 4th. So great! Food was really great. Outdoor seating was great. Helps that weather was awesome today. Will definitely come again for brunch. Also really liked that it wasn't crowded like most places on Ridgewood. read more

I recently tried Soma, their location served outstanding eggs Benedict and crepes. The eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked with a delicious hollandaise sauce, and the crepes were light and fluffy, filled with a variety of flavorful ingredients. The milkshake could have used more ice and a little too thick for my taste. Overall, it was a delightful culinary experience with exceptional breakfast options and friendly staff. We paid about $80.00 for two Avocado Benny, two milkshakes, one crepe, one egg sandwich and two waters. read more
