Crêpe Complète Jambon
Jason M.

I just revisited Crêpes Choupette. I hereby confirm that the Crêpe Complète Jambon is as good - if not better - than any crêpe I had while living in France. And here's a little secret, their coffee is better presented than the fancy-pants coffee around the corner at Neat!

From the music being played to the wooden chairs, tables and beautiful kitchen area, the atmosphere is a pleasantly beautiful place, a little piece of France in the middle of Darien, CT. The service was immediate. You are greeted with a pleasant smile and gracious hospitality. I looked forward to sitting at this cozy and beautiful setting. With so much to want to try, I settled on ordering the Compléte Jambon, with a great cup of Cappuccino. It was as lovely to look at as to taste, so Flavorful. The crepes were delicious! But don't take my word for it, try it! I know I'll be back.

Always amazing the service, ambiance and the crepes are outstanding. A unique spot in Darien downtown!

Latte and fresh mint lemonade

I have been to Crêpes Choupette in Darien more times than I can count. I love everything about this little restaurant. It's such a gem. The service is spectacular. I forget his name, but the man who operates this location is the owner's brother (they look like twins lol). He is so kind and accommodating. I have been to CC pre pregnancy, pregnancy, and post pregnancy to celebrate so many things in life. The food is delicious and made with only the freshest and best ingredients. My favorite is the Norvegienne savory crêpe. The mint lemonade is so refreshing and tastes just like my mom's! The coffee is actually really good!! I'd go there just to pick up a latte, honestly. I am of Haitian descent and love to take all of my family members there so they are comfortable speaking French! Thank you for creating such a warm, homely environment. Also, just a personal touch: when my husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, the manager gave us complimentary champagne, just class on class.

New York showed me, though I didn't especially need it proven, that not all crêperies are created equal. This little place in Darien checks all the boxes, and if I had to pick one word to describe it, I would say "balanced". Comfortable, friendly, classy but not overbearing... and, if my galette (the ractiflette) was any indication, expertly-assembled food. It would have been easy to make that too rich or too salty, but it was perfect. I'd like to assume that everything else on the menu is made to the same standard. I did notice that the prices on their website were behind the times; see my photos of the menu. Not uncommon with any restaurant, really, but I'd expect a bit better from a place as focused on execution as this. Anyway, check them out!

If you want a crepe in Fairfield county, you should come here! Came in here around 3p on a Saturday and it was pretty empty except for a couple tables. Immediately, I noticed how pretty the decor is inside. I ordered the Norvégienne crepe from the savory menu - this was the exact crepe I was craving. The buckwheat flour crepe did not disappoint. One of the better crepes I've had and I savored every last bite. I look forward to future visits!

This is a must try place. It has a simple menu and they nailed it. The owner, Eddy is very friendly. The place looks nice and clean. A place we will go back to when we are in town again.

Best crepes this side of Paris. Very friendly staff. Very fresh food. We stopped here on our way from Boston to NYC.

Set in a pre-war stone building with two dining rooms, Chez Vous provides an intimate dining experience for Francophiles and those whose palettes have yet to be turned on to authentic French and French-inspired cuisine. From the chandelier in the front dining room to the spiderweb window-topped accordion glass doors that open into outdoor seating to the unique illustrations upon the tabletops, you'll feel as though you've stepped into a Paris bistro in the heart of Stamford. Mon Dieu! The warm goat cheese salad! I swore I wasn't going to eat it all, but somehow I emptied my plate. I added chicken and the meat was juicy and savory. The sour cherry vinaigrette was a lovely way to dress the toasted almond shavings and greens. The Montrachet melted in my mouth. The service was attentive and cordial. I felt bad they couldn't coax dessert because I've had their crème brûlée on another occasion and it was heavenly. C'est magnifique, Chez Vous! A lovely little bistro offering a fantastic dining experience.

With both à la carte options and a $44 Prix Fixe menu, we went for the prix fixe -- and it was the best decision of the day. A truly enchanting brunch that felt as if we had slipped away to a cozy café in Paris. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with live soft jazz music setting the perfect tone. The staff was warm and attentive, anticipating every need -- even the bread served with a luxurious French butter with black sea salt was top notch. No land Lake served on their tables. Cocktails Bloody Mary -- perfectly mixed, bright and briny with just the right touch of horseradish Peach Bellini -- light, fruity, and beautifully balanced Appetizers Salmon Tartare -- diced fresh tuna , with a vibrant pesto sauce, served with crisp baguette toasts. Not only did the food roll off my tongue, but it was a substantial first course. Hubby opted for the Soup du jour, a comforting individual tureen of butternut squash soup, delicately garnished with sunflower seeds -- savory with just a hint of sweetness, the perfect bowl for a cold, rainy day. I had a few spoonfuls and can agree it was delicious and warming. Entrées So many options I really had a tough time picking one. So many classic French dishes, but the buckwheat crepe won out. A SMOKED SALMON CREPE Filled with chopped salade, in a buckwheat crêpe, sunny up egg. Great to the last bite. Husband continued with a French theme steak sandwich with brie cheese, pickle shallots, aioli, and pomme frites Dessert Chocolate Mousse -- airy, rich, and deeply satisfying; the perfect sweet finish. The waiter comes over with a huge tureen of chocolate mousse and scoops out a huge amount of it to add in your dessert plate . Quite the presentation. Paired with after-dinner drinks, this brunch was a seamless blend of French elegance and warmth -- every bite, every note of music, every detail thoughtfully done. A truly delightful experience we can't wait to repeat.

That spontaneous decision led us to an absolute treasure. They offered the perfect Valentine's Day menu--easy to navigate and beautifully suited for the occasion without being overwhelming. For my appetizer, I had the crab cake, which was incredibly well-seasoned and served on a fresh bed of spinach. It was light yet flavorful, the perfect way to start the evening. For my main course, I ordered the grilled swordfish. It was fresh, tender, and full of flavor. What truly surprised me was the sauce paired with pineapple--it sounded interesting, but it worked perfectly. The balance of savory and sweet was spot on, and every bite complemented the next. To end the night, I had the passion fruit tart for dessert. It was the ideal sweet finish to such a fulfilling meal--bright, refreshing, and not overly heavy. The drinks were also delicious and thoughtfully crafted. The service matched the quality of the food. The owner and servers were attentive, welcoming, and genuinely involved in ensuring we had a great experience.
