Roasted chicken pressed sandwich w/roasted red peppers, provolone and pesto - A pressed sandwich with roasted red peppers, provolone cheese, and pesto is placed on a white plate on a wooden table. The sandwich is cut in half, showing the ingredients inside. In the background, there is a green bottle, a small potted plant, and a person using a device. The setting appears to be a café or restaurant with natural light.

Loved this place! The decor, high ceilings and ambience were the perfect setting to meet my YE friend, Shanina, in person for the first time! Our server Ayana was lovely. She let us take our time ordering as well as sit there chatting for a few hours. The menu was a Greek Mediterranean flare serving breakfast and lunch only. We ordered: *Mango Ice Tea 5/5 *Prosecco 5/5 *Chicken Tuscan Pressed Sandwich w/roasted red peppers, provolone & pesto 4/5 *Kielbasa Omelette 4/5 Seemed like a great neighborhood place. A lot of regulars having lunch. ~kid friendly ~full bar menu ~baked goods ~outdoor patio in front ~serve breakfast & lunch ~street parking only

After a trip to the aquarium- we stopped in here for lunch. Fairly large menu to choose from. The place has a nice, cozy but trendy vibe. Service is attentive and food came out fairly quickly. A large menu of speciality coffees and cocktails that definitely looked interesting. I tried the avocado toast Benedict which was served with a side of sweet potato. The Benedict was a nice combo of flavors and filling. The sweet potato was meh and not fries so I would have preferred greens or real fries. My daughter got the pancakes and they were delicious! There was no dedicated kids menu but enough choices.

My friend brought us to Caffe Social. I am very pleased to say that my morning was spent well and savor-able. I was greeted by the kind staff and my food and drinks were brought with care. The food itself was great, my money was spent well, and the food was worth coming here. I was very satisfied and enjoyed the food and while enjoying the food I noticed the place itself is very cozy and has a very rustic-modern look to it. Glad to say that I will be coming back to try the other great things in the menu!

The menu displays a variety of beverage options including iced and hot drinks, cocktails, mocktails, wines, and beers. It features sections for iced beverages like iced coffee and frappes, hot drinks such as hot chocolate and cinnamon bun, and specialty cocktails like Bloody Social and Aperol Spritz. The mocktails include Blue Mule and CosNoPolitan, while wine options list different types with prices. Beer selections include Allagash White and Modelo. The menu also highlights ingredients and brands like Ghirardelli and Harney & Sons.

We stopped here because they allowed dogs in the outside seating area. Service was okay...sometimes great, but sometimes wouldn't come for a little bit. Mango lemonade was delicious!! Food was good, but somehow the bill escalated quickly. I wish they had a kids menu; and when I ordered a side of eggs, a side of bacon, and a side of sausage it ended up costing almost $30 (for a kid). So ultimately, I'm not sure if it was worth the cost.

S'mores Latte for me and Strawberry refresher for my daughter. Both super yummy. Would love to go back and try their breakfast menu. Casual atmosphere. Only downside is parking.

Stopped by Cafe Social for their Father's Day brunch -- it was packed, which gave it a lively vibe. The food was solid; I had the egg wraps and tried one of their lavender drinks, both were really good. However, service was a bit off. We had to wait quite a while for milk, and by the time it arrived, the coffee had gone cold. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive, which took away from the overall experience. Good food, but they need to improve the service -- especially during busy hours.

came here with my mom and my sister after stoppping at 2 different places beforehand that had long waits because it was sunday monring brunch hours. we were seated almost immediately which was wonderful but that was the quickest the service was throughout the whole time we were there to be frank. nothing really stood out to me on the menu but I did get the pumpkin smores cocoa which stood out to me the most because I am the biggest pumpkin spice fan and I also wanted hot chocolate which was great. but then I took a sip and probbaly two more and then no more after that because it tasted like diabetes in a cup. but I guess I should have expected that if I was getting an already sweet hot chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallow fluff, and drizzled pumpkin sauce so it's nobody's fault really but mine (I guess). I got the basic batch dish that comes with your choice of eggs, home fries and toast. probably the cheapest plate which is like 11 bucks but then I asked for bacon and it was like an extra 6 bucks? whatever honestly as long as the bacon was good, right? wrong, because the bacon was bland. everyone loves crispy bacon but mine was crispy in the way you would say "burnt to a crisp" type of crispy and not bc it was burnt but because of how DRY it was. and do not let the pictures fool you, I am very talented at taking pictures so the food might look good in the photos but I am telling u, it was not that great in my mouth. you might be saying that I could have just made this plate at home to my liking, but also, if you are cooking this meal to serve to someone else, I think you would at least try to make it good? maybe I am biased because I was having a rough morning and it might have affected my liking to the food, but it is now 9pm when i am writing this and I am still upset with what I ate so maybe I am not biased at all. I asked myself "how could someone mess up bacon?" but what I really should have been asking myself is, "how could someone mess up TOAST" the toast on my plate also came with probably the whole stick of butter spread on it. the same way you would squeeze a sponge full of soap and water when you are washing the dishes was the same way it felt when I picked up the soaked toast to put in my mouth. and do not get me started on the home fries. when I ordered home fries I was expecting regular pan fried soft fries (as one normally would when they eat home fries) but of course, the home fries were not normal home fries but rather french fries just shaped as home fries. now, I was not in the kitchen watching them make the home fries so I could be wrong but these fries had the consistency of DEEP fried fries NOT pan fried. but just as much as I could be 100% wrong, these "home fries" were also 100% wrong. the only good thing on this plate were the eggs Maybe if I hadn't ordered the culinary equivalent of a participation trophy, I wouldn't be in this mess :/

Wonderful place for brunch! There are so many drink/breakfast choices that you can't go wrong... picture shows a pumpkin hot chocolate which was perfect for a chilly fall morning.

Constantly saw this place in my instagram feed and finally decided to check it out! I loved all of their options for Valentine's Day drinks whether it was a latte, hot chocolate or cocktail! The Benedict was really good and loved the side salad that was with it. The gyro was unbelievable! The meat was extremely tender and we never thought of a gyro as a breakfast item. 10/10 would go back just for that! Staff was extremely friendly and the cafe had this cozy at home feeling

Had an amazing time at this restaurant definitely well worth it if you ever in the area to check it out the atmosphere was really nice. Had breakfast here for my fiancé for her birthday. She totally loved it. The service was really good. No delay with the food. It came out very hot. I definitely would recommend this place. It's totally worth it.

"Through the long lonely nights, she filled my sleep Her body softly swaying to that smoky beat Down on Mainstreet" (Bob Seger) On Main Street in South Norwalk, you'll find the Caffe Social, a very cool coffee shop with a hipster vibe. They have a big menu of breakfast choices like eggs, pancakes, waffles, plus sandwiches, salads, snacks, pastries and more. But the real stars of their show are the coffee drinks - hot and cold lattes, expressos, chais, all sorts of chinos, teas, hot chocolates, and a ton more. The interior is very eclectic with a mix of rustic board siding, upholstered walls, blue paint, exposed aluminum HVAC ducts, a big blackboard column listing the drink specials, trinkets and wall hangings all over the place and behind the bar. One very cool feature was a display of the ubiquitous white plastic coffee cup lids that were hand painted into smiley faces, superhero logos, flags, flowers and more. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas to sip your summertime cold brews. We stopped in for a snack and beverages yesterday and ordered a Toffee Nut Latte ($8) with espresso, toffee nut syrup, milk, whipped cream, and Heath Bar crumble, a Pistachio Cold Brew Bliss ($8.50) with pistachio mocha cold brew, pistachio cold foam, and crushed pistachios, an Herbal Tea ($4.50), and a Cinnabun $7.95). My Pistachio Cold Brew was delicious with a deep coffee flavor, and plenty of pistachio syrup and pistachio pieces in my glass. If you're looking for a fun breakfast or brunch place, and are a caffeine lover, you'll definitely enjoy your visit to Caffe Social.

    My disgusting dirty chai

The food was okay but my drink was absolutely disgusting. Chai is my go to drink anywhere I go, it's very hard to mess up but they managed to do that. I explained to my server Chris that I usually never return drinks but if I could please exchange it for something different because of how disgusting it was . He told me I'd still have to pay for it since I drank some of it..... as you can see I had two sips lol. Make sure to telepathically try your drinks if you want to be able to exchange them. This year for my 35th, I was on my own for dinner this time around. That being said, I think I found a winner here to celebrate my 35th birthday. Say hello to Lazy Sister, located in the heart of South Norwalk where the restaurant scene comes alive! Because I was a single coming in, I was seated right away, no reservation needed. They were even kind enough to place my bag in the atrium so that I wouldn't have it in the way. I was seated at a table set for two, but it's a good thing I guess that I came on my own. First thing I notice upon coming in is that it is a very classy restaurant, not your typical dim sum joint. It's also not a big space, but that's fine by me. Honestly, this would make a great date night spot for anyone going out on a date. Funny enough, I was actually suggested this place by my friend the night I went to Jacob's Pickles. For reasons I am about to get to, I am glad I decided not to come here until a later date. So why would I say that? Well, because tonight, my order consisted of two Junmai Genshu "Little Sumo" sakes as well as the Salt & Pepper Calamari, a medium level Dry Fry Style Szechuan Chicken, and then the Fortune Cookie Soft Serve for dessert. Not only did I pay more here, but I also got more inebriated here than I did at Jacob's Pickles. But it's my birthday, so tonight it's not in my contract to care. You only live once, and I am already in like the middle of my life, so it all evens out, right? Speaking of the food, everything I ate was immaculate! The calamari was seasoned perfectly, vegetables were cooked and crisp, the spice from that Szechuan didn't overpower. It was more like a pleasant tingle, especially when mixed with water or sake. Everything was done just right. And that soft serve cooled me down in just the right way. Delicious and well worth finishing off the night! And while there were other drinks that definitely looked good, I couldn't say no to sake. That's like THE ultimate celebratory drink far as I'm concerned, and it was awesome! If you were wondering about the service, these people are quite friendly. They help you through anything you might need. While I waited a while to tell them, I did eventually tell my waitress it was birthday while I was on dessert. Cool enough, we are both Tauri! I love it when I get to talk to another Taurus! :) The bill was also why I am glad I waited for another occasion to come here. Because I decided to splurge, the affair was about $100 once tip was factored in. It was well worth it, and tonight's outing will definitely make for a fun story to tell. But 34 was a hard year. I deserve to let loose every now and then, and hopefully 35 will be a happier age. All in all, a great restaurant and well worth the money to come here.

The bartender was knowledgeable and I trusted him with recommendations. We ordered egg rolls and the wontons in chili oil. Everything was tasty, wish the chili oil was more spicy but the flavor was amazing. Day two I sat at a table and ordered the cherry cola, veggie lo mien, and crispy beef. My friends ordered the spring rolls, sesame chicken, and chicken and broccoli. The server accidentally put in a plain lo mien but it was quickly fixed. Both were tasty but it was better with veggies. All entrees were okay. It's your typical local American Chinese food cuisine and I didn't taste or see any difference to it? It did taste a bit more fresh but I wouldn't order again. Overall, the service was good and the ambiance is nice. I prefer this place as a restaurant for yummy drinks and apps before dinner or after work.

That was breakfast, lunch and dessert all in one. They did not skip on the crushed oreos. My daughter and I needed to see some of the viral dishes for ourselves so we stuck to the Social Media section of the menu. She got the Fried Chicken Mac N Cheese burrito and I got the Smash Wrap. Neither one of us finished even half of our mains. They are huge! Bigger isn't always better but the quality was not lost in the size. They were also delicious. We both loved the mac n cheese filling. Our waitress was super sweet and when she found out we were traveling, she threw in some complimentary "famous" cinnamon sugar donuts for the ride. Damn what a night this has been!…read more So a friend and I decided to come eat here after going to a funeral visitation for a co-worker. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.
