I was meeting my Yelp friend from California, and she chose this place to meet. As we walked in, we were greeted and seated immediately. The establishment was very clean and welcoming. It is definitely a good spot to hang out with friends and family. I ordered a glass of Prosecco, and I ordered the Mediterranean Omelet, which consisted of Egg whites, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Spinach, tomato, Onion, Feta Cheese, garnished with Dill and Scallions, served with house Arugula Salad and Pana De Casa Toast. The omelet was cooked well, but the Sun-Dried Tomatoes had an intense, concentrated flavor. The flavor was too strong, so I didn't enjoy the omelet. The Home Fries were cooked well, crispy on the outside, and seasoned well. I love the whole concept of the establishment because it gives off a modern and nostalgic vibe. After a trip to the aquarium- we stopped in here for lunch. Fairly large menu to choose from. The place has a nice, cozy but trendy vibe. Service is attentive and food came out fairly quickly. A large menu of speciality coffees and cocktails that definitely looked interesting. I tried the avocado toast Benedict which was served with a side of sweet potato. The Benedict was a nice combo of flavors and filling. The sweet potato was meh and not fries so I would have preferred greens or real fries. My daughter got the pancakes and they were delicious! The food was solid; I had the egg wraps and tried one of their lavender drinks, both were really good. However, service was a bit off. We had to wait quite a while for milk, and by the time it arrived, the coffee had gone cold. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive, which took away from the overall experience. came here with my mom and my sister after stoppping at 2 different places beforehand that had long waits because it was sunday monring brunch hours. we were seated almost immediately which was wonderful but that was the quickest the service was throughout the whole time we were there to be frank. nothing really stood out to me on the menu but I did get the pumpkin smores cocoa which stood out to me the most because I am the biggest pumpkin spice fan and I also wanted hot chocolate which was great. but then I took a sip and probbaly two more and then no more after that because it tasted like diabetes in a cup. but I guess I should have expected that if I was getting an already sweet hot chocolate, whipped cream, marshmallow fluff, and drizzled pumpkin sauce so it's nobody's fault really but mine (I guess). I got the basic batch dish that comes with your choice of eggs, home fries and toast. probably the cheapest plate which is like 11 bucks but then I asked for bacon and it was like an extra 6 bucks? whatever honestly as long as the bacon was good, right? wrong, because the bacon was bland. everyone loves crispy bacon but mine was crispy in the way you would say "burnt to a crisp" type of crispy and not bc it was burnt but because of how DRY it was. and do not let the pictures fool you, I am very talented at taking pictures so the food might look good in the photos but I am telling u, it was not that great in my mouth. you might be saying that I could have just made this plate at home to my liking, but also, if you are cooking this meal to serve to someone else, I think you would at least try to make it good? maybe I am biased because I was having a rough morning and it might have affected my liking to the food, but it is now 9pm when i am writing this and I am still upset with what I ate so maybe I am not biased at all. I asked myself "how could someone mess up bacon?" but what I really should have been asking myself is, "how could someone mess up TOAST" the toast on my plate also came with probably the whole stick of butter spread on it. the same way you would squeeze a sponge full of soap and water when you are washing the dishes was the same way it felt when I picked up the soaked toast to put in my mouth. and do not get me started on the home fries. when I ordered home fries I was expecting regular pan fried soft fries (as one normally would when they eat home fries) but of course, the home fries were not normal home fries but rather french fries just shaped as home fries. now, I was not in the kitchen watching them make the home fries so I could be wrong but these fries had the consistency of DEEP fried fries NOT pan fried. but just as much as I could be 100% wrong, these "home fries" were also 100% wrong. the only good thing on this plate were the eggs Maybe if I hadn't ordered the culinary equivalent of a participation trophy, I wouldn't be in this mess :/ read more

They have a big menu of breakfast choices like eggs, pancakes, waffles, plus sandwiches, salads, snacks, pastries and more. But the real stars of their show are the coffee drinks - hot and cold lattes, expressos, chais, all sorts of chinos, teas, hot chocolates, and a ton more. The interior is very eclectic with a mix of rustic board siding, upholstered walls, blue paint, exposed aluminum HVAC ducts, a big blackboard column listing the drink specials, trinkets and wall hangings all over the place and behind the bar. One very cool feature was a display of the ubiquitous white plastic coffee cup lids that were hand painted into smiley faces, superhero logos, flags, flowers and more. They also have a very nice outdoor seating area with umbrellas to sip your summertime cold brews. We stopped in for a snack and beverages yesterday and ordered a Toffee Nut Latte ($8) with espresso, toffee nut syrup, milk, whipped cream, and Heath Bar crumble, a Pistachio Cold Brew Bliss ($8.50) with pistachio mocha cold brew, pistachio cold foam, and crushed pistachios, an Herbal Tea ($4.50), and a Cinnabun $7.95). My Pistachio Cold Brew was delicious with a deep coffee flavor, and plenty of pistachio syrup and pistachio pieces in my glass. Have passed by this restaurant numerous times during my jaunts in Norwalk. Finally decided to try it today with some friends! Walked in around 2pm, ordered around 2:10pm, 3 out of 4 of us got our food an hour after ordering, while the 4th got her burger when we were mostly done, about 10-15 minutes after that. My burger, ordered medium, came well done. After a few bites and with my intense hunger mostly subsided my shroom burger just tasted okay/not cooked how I wanted it, the fries were okay, nothing special, for $26 all in very unimpressed. The burger felt like a mass produced previously frozen pre-shaped generic meat puck. My friends turkey burger barely had any sauce on it and when inquiring about procuring more of the burger's sauce was informed it would be an extra charge. cmon, the burgers are already $20 and you're gonna charge her for extra sauce even though she waited an hour and fifteen minutes for her food? The service wasn't bad but it would have been a lovely gesture and honestly the bare minimum to bring extra sauce without up-charging. As well as to give us eta's on our food, we could have enjoyed the art fair while we waited an hour for our food. After our order no one checked in on us for the entire duration until our long awaited food came out. The cherry on top, when we got the bill, it had the incorrect price on it for my friends' iced dirty chai, even though they ordered the regular one without an extra shot of espresso. It was supposed to be $8 but the bill came to $10 and they only fixed it after we informed them we ordered it regular, no additions. Some pretty shady practices with the up charges for things we didn't ask for. Heads up to check your bill and confirm with the server if there will be any up charges for changes/additions and how much they will be. My friend added a hash brown and chipotle Mayo to her sandwich and it was an extra $5. See Sarah R's review for the receipts. They can only split the bill in half onto two cards and on the weekends they add a 20% service charge without putting that anywhere in writing. After we finished and paid I spoke to the manager and she apologized and explained that they didn't expect to be so busy because of the art fair. I heard her, it would have been cool to let us know that realistically we'll be waiting over an hour to eat from ordering. The whole experience felt underwhelming even though the ambience is cool and the music was good. Seeing as I'm so infrequently in Norwalk the offer for a 50% off next visit, while kind, is not something that's going to be on my radar. read more

I explained to my server Chris that I usually never return drinks but if I could please exchange it for something different because of how disgusting it was . This a very cute and busy cafe and I was excited to try it. I came here to grab a bite after a day at the aquarium my daughters. I forgot they close early and we got there around 3:15pm(Saturday) they were busy inside and we were told kitchen closes at 330 and place closes at 4pm. I asked the girls if they wanted to stay and they said yeah that we could order something quick like a sandwich and juice or coffee. So we were seated. We noticed the server were going around bringing checks and to go containers to neighboring tables and just placing it on the table. She then hovered over our table waiting for our order and it was uncomfortable. We have 45min till closing and 15 for kitchen but we felt we were being rushed and like the servers wanted everyone out as if the had a place to be. We were going to order something quick to make and eat but we didnt like the rush vibe and cleaning tables and putting away chairs even tho place was not yet closed. They three sisters learned the tricks of the restaurant trade by working in their uncle's establishment, Jordan's Restaurant & Pizzeria, in Norwalk. My family and I recently visited Caffé Social while we were in Norwalk. We visited the Maritime Aquarium earlier in the day and afterwards we were interested in stopping somewhere for brunch. After doing a quick search on Yelp, we saw that Caffé Social had great recommendations. It was very hot that day, so we asked to be seated inside in the air conditioning. After looking over the cocktail menu, my wife and I decided to get some mimosas. She ordered the "Cotton Candy" (rosé prosecco, cotton candy) and I ordered the "Mo-Cello" (prosecco, limoncello, lemonade). These cocktails were perfect for us; so refreshing! For food, my wife had the "Avocado Toast Benny" (two poached eggs on pana de casa, lemon avocado spread, raw tomato, topped w/ hollandaise, bacon bits & scallions, served w/ sweet potato home fries), our son had the "Sweet & Savory" (smoked bacon, sausage, fried egg, American cheese, maple syrup on homemade waffle), and I had the "Italiano" Panini (chicken cutlet, prosciutto, pepperoni, provolone, roasted red peppers & pesto mayo) with a side of Mediterranean potato salad.
