Cafe Dolce - What is it? - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Norwalk, Connecticut

Cute little shop, with some seating. We ordered 2 medium cappuccinos, an almond croissant, and chocolate roll. I appreciated that the cashier warned that their medium cappuccinos have 4 shots of espresso, which was fine for us both. However, the barista was clearly being trained, as he was being instructed on how to make the espresso and milk. Unfortunately, we got 2 really gross cappuccinos -- almost like a sludge of coffee, that we ended up pouring out in the parking lot after 1 sip. I'm still willing to give it a 3 though, because he was being trained, and the pastries were THAT good. read more

I adore this little place! There is a sign on the door that states the tables are reserved for paying customers, which I think is a totally reasonable ask!! There was a woman who disagreed with that and despite her being extremely rude all the staff handled it with grace but also didn't let her just get her way because she was causing a scene. The staff are extremely attentive without being overbearing. The sandwich was incredible and the drink was smooth. There's plenty of seating inside and even though it was a busy afternoon I was able to snag a small table that I could eat and work at. If I'm in this area again I will gladly stop here for a bit! read more

Cafe Dolce - Breakfast sandwich with a chai tea - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Norwalk, Connecticut

The place is coated in flys, the chicken parm sandwich was horrible, soggy and no flavor. The manager or owner was kinda stingy and said he didn't allow people to bring their water bottles into the cafe "aka I'm running a starving business and need you to pay me for water. " Honestly the whole experience was disappointing. read more

I wanted to try a coffee shop so I search one up near me. I walk in and ask politely if they have anything similar to a brown sugar shaken espresso and the owner says "we don't follow influencers that's bs"(I didn't mention anything about an influencer). He then prepares my coffee and prepares me one that's halfway. So rude and never going back.. read more

Cafe Dolce - Iced coffee - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Norwalk, Connecticut

I am not from the area, but my dentist is located in Wilton. I was in need of some caffeine and breakfast after my early dentist appointment. I am glad I stumbled upon Café Dolce. The chai tea was incredible. It is not that fake syrup thing other bigger companies use. I also got a croissant filled with spinach and cheese. I forgot exactly what cheese it was, but it was honestly the best croissant I've had in a while. If you like savory croissants, I will recommend that one. I will definitely be returning here. read more

Cute place in an unassuming small shopping center near the Merritt Parkway. Excellent service, coffee and food! Purchased an almond latte and a coconut latte - both were hot and delicious! Had a ham egg and cheese breakfast sandwich (panini?) along with an almond croissant, blueberry muffin, and a piece of apple cake (seasonal item) and all were fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back! Friendly, helpful, and attentive staff! read more

Great small restaurant, only opened till 3pm. Many choices of omelets, pastries, crepes, sweets, great coffee. Very noisy, very busy in the morning. My croissant egg/ham/ cheese omelet was quite copious, and delicious. My husband omelet was as good, no bread on the side. read more

Hopping in the morning Cafe-Bakery with many choices of coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Pastries too. Eclectic Music, played too loud for comfy chatting. But there is an outdoor seating area within the parking lot. Overall worth a stop if you're nearby. Friendly staff. read more

No greeting just a dead stare. The older guy with the accent & glasses taking orders was rude! He clearly doesn't know customer service but he is in the business of customer service. The music is blasting high and he couldn't hear my order. Dude lower the freaking music volume down and have a better tone when speaking to paying customers. Will not be back to a place that is not welcoming! I am not one who advertises bad reviews but this guy deserves one & hopefully he can learn how to welcome paying customers. As far as food: The breakfast crepe was bland. The veggie panini was better tasting. read more

I was in the area on a Family Food Adventure away from home, and I Yelp-searched to see if there were any noteworthy coffee places to visit. Cafe Dolce certainly fit the bill. I ordered a black iced coffee. It was smooth and rich. Perhaps a South American or Central American-based blend. It was very well executed. A cut above for coffee places that served this style of iced coffee. It was also reasonably priced, which I'm paying more attention to as I've noticed many places are charging coffee drink prices for their least expensive black cold coffee option. Cheers to Cafe Dolce for being reasonable. I took my coffee to go, but I observed a thriving inside and outside dining/drinking area. I didn't order food, but the desserts and pastries I observed looked top notch for a coffee place. Cafe Dolce has earned my recommendation. Five Stars. read more

Delicious and generous yogurt, fruit and granola parfait, great coffee and superb service.

I like this place a lot. The black tea is very strong just the way I like it!!! Nice tast too. Friendly service And a cool vibe.

I've sent my husband here a few times over the years for their baked goods, but finally dropped in the other day for lunch with a friend. The desserts are some of the best in Norwalk. I'm very picky when it comes to my desserts and Cafe Dolce's desserts are always a family favorite. This week I tried their spinach and feta crepe and really enjoyed it as well. The interior is small but welcoming. Although we sat at a large family style table and there were others sitting next to us, we still felt comfortable and not crowded. The time passed quickly and before we knew it we had been there for over two hours! I will definitely be back for the food and the comfortable, relaxing space. read more

Uhhh, delish!!!! We're passing through and checked yelp for some recommendations. Not disappointed. Food was excellent.

Cafe Dolce has the best pastries in Norwalk! Great coffee, matcha, and even soups too! The cafe is small but very clean. The only frustrating thing is their hours. They close so early- 3pm!! Even on weekends! It would be nice to pick up pastries, get food or coffee/tea after 3pm. I would rate 5 stars and come here way more often if it was open longer :( read more

Great breakfast, brunch and lunch spot. The food is phenomenal. I had the bacon egg and cheese breakfast croissant and it was perfect. The blueberry muffin was light and fluffy with a crunchy top. My only issue is it's a very small space with a long community style table and a few smaller tables and a counter or two. I can't remember. If you like quiet, intimate meals this is not the place for you. I don't really like sitting at a community table but the quality of the food more than made up for the lack of intimacy. We visit our daughter and her husband at least once a month and this will definitely be our breakfast place whether we eat it there or take it out. read more

I went on a busy Sunday morning. I ordered the apricot crepe and added farmers cheese. It was delicious. I had a longer than usual wait time so the man at the counter threw in some free cheesy bread rolls. Staff is friendly and welcoming. read more

Cozy cafe with indoor and makeshift outdoor dining. Wide variety of drink and pastry options, and a few food options as well. The man who I believe runs the place was working the register when I was there, and he was not friendly at all. I ordered a vanilla latte and an almond croissant. The latte was tiny and truly the worst I've ever had. I couldn't have more than a few sips. The pastry was delicious however, and the rest of their food also looked delicious as well 5 read more

Haven't been since Covid and met a friend for breakfast. She had the oatmeal bowl which was both beautiful to look at and a good size. Her decaf latte with oat milk was also good. I had a cappuccino with a wonderful peach jam pastry. Everything was terrific and no issues with service as they let us linger. I did notice some prices on breakfast items seemed high, like for avocado toast - but I have no idea how it was prepared or the size of the portion. Guess I'll have to tough it out and go back again so I can give them 5 stars. read more

Popped in for a coffee on the way through town. Cute little place. Sunny. Nice staff. A selection of food items and hot beverages. There were a few people sitting inside when we arrived late in the morning. One was working on a lap top, a couple of friends were chatting nearby. All very comfy. The furnishings are industrial, not fussy at all. The coffee and pastry very good. If you are nearby, give them a try. read more

I recently visited Cafe Dolce and it was really good. I had an iced coffee and though it was a small, the size was large and the iced coffee was delicious. I would have given 5 stars but if you only order a coffee you have to sit at the bar and are not allowed to sit at a regular table or outside. Considering this is a cafe, I think that is ridiculous especially because most of the tables were empty even though it was lunchtime. My colleague bought a muffin just so we could sit at a table! read more

Food and drinks: 4/5 Service: 1/5 Ive been here a few times. Service has always been somewhat lukewarm but nothing outrageous, was worth it for some good coffee and a snacks but long story short....won't be coming back here anymore. Not sure who he is but the tall gentleman manning the register often (maybe the owner?) has the worse sense of customer service I've seen. I asked for a to go iced coffee (because i wasn't sure if it would automatically come in a for here cup) and a crepe. He never really asked me to clarify or say that he didnt hear me. Anyways, he brings out the coffee, im sitting at one of the many empty tables...and proceeds to see me and put the coffee next to the door at the opposite side of the shop....like, tell me to gtfo without telling me to gtfo lol. Who does that?! Then he said he wanted to keep the tables open for people dining in...mind you at the time there were many tables open, and a complete empty bar by the window with like 10 empty chairs. Plenty of other cafes around where you feel more welcome, places more deserving of my business. read more

Delicious, even if expensive. Loved the cheese puff but $1.61 for two airy bites of pastry was hard to swallow. Place was packed! For good reason! The hot cocoa was incredible, as was the choco croissant, the hamantaschen (prune!) and the lovely omelette. Service was ok (forgot one coffee & grumbled at our kids patiently waiting for rainbow cookies at counter for 5 minutes cuz they didn't ask for the cookies they ordered more assertively after being ignored) and the owner was in a good mood saying "thank you, thank you" best to grab and go! read more

My very small omelette was $9 and came with a side of 1 and a half cherry tomatoes. It was good, but the price and atmosphere gives me mixed feelings. Came in on a Sunday morning impromptu with my girlfriend; hairband and rock and roll at the coffee shop on a Sunday morning? Being told to go back to my car and place my 1/8th of a bottle of coffee in it? Checked out by a stern, stressed out, and unwelcoming man who I assume is the owner. Forgot about my girlfriends coffee but brought out a watered down ice coffee with no bean flavor. +Bonus hair! read more
