What a great place. They really do a great job. True story! My brother and I got bacon egg n cheese at another location nearby simply because it was early and, was open. We ended up eating just a few bites and, threw them out. We could tell the hard rolls were microwaved (chewy). Also the rest of sandwich was crap as well. Now it was 8am so we went to Massimo and got the same. WOW! What a difference. So fresh and good. Today I got their Burrata sandwich a specialty item. A healthy option I figured I'd try instead of cold cuts. Not expecting much since it's meat free. I was extremely pleased with it. Sooooo Goood!! Friendly staff as well. Was in the neighborhood with my husband and Mom and needed to grab lunch after shopping. I'm picky about where I eat and found this place on yelp. It did it not disappoint. Had the best sandwich I had in a very long time. Actually my favorite kind of sandwich. Thin crispy chicken cutlet, provolone, broccoli rabe and arugula on pressed Italian bread. I have not had this combo in years. They made it to perfection. Had an imported arancia Rosa soda with it. Finished off with a cappuccino. The bombollini and other desserts looked yummy but I had no room. My Husband and Mother loved their sandwich's too. They have some Italian imports to buy. Hard to resist all the good stuff. Really, really enjoy the pizzas. The Sicilian is perfect, not too much cheese - good blend of sauce and cheese. Plus, leftovers reheat well. The baked ziti pizza comes with additional sauce on it. One slice is a meal. Their regular NY style pizzas are so yummy. Their crust is amazing. It's crispy on the outside but still doughy inside. It's the best crust around with great flavor. I keep forgetting to stop by for their café items. Since they stay open longer than the traditional cafés around I'll make a point of it. Grabbed two large pizzas to go... their large cheese and large margarita. Both pizzas were good. Bit of a thicker crust with some chew. The margarita had good flavor. Fresh ingredients. Seems like they use the mozzarella block not fresh mozzarella. It was still good, I prefer my margarita with fresh mozzarella. Could also use more basil. With that said, it was very good. The cheese pizza, although it was good, it was a bit salty for me. I assume that's from the cheese. We also had the cheese calzone (just ricotta and mozzarella cheese). This was very good. Great calzone crust loaded with cheese. Really recommend giving this a try. Overall the menu looks great. Seems to have a good selection of dishes. Something for everyone. I have been ordering from this restaurant for the day it open its doors. I normally pick up my orders, but tonight I had my order delivered. The delivery service is Slice. my order arrived, but I was never notified. It was sitting outside in the cold for at least 20 minutes. The salad I ordered, which was steak and gorgonzola salad, the steak was fatty and tough and for the price I paid for this i was totally ripped off it was horrible. The pizza was as if i took it out of the freezer, cold & hard like a rock. I called Massimo's and told them what happened with the delivery Service and the answer I got from Massimo was "it's not our fault, It's the delivery service's fault, We're not at fault." I disagree with this because that delivery service is a reflection of your restaurant. You choose to use a sloppy delivery service you lose customers. I'm very upset with Massimo and Slice! read more

It's hard to explain the food is really wonderful except for one part. We have tried several times with different foods--pizza, sandwiches, appetizers. And every single time the amount of salt on everything is so bad that our tongues end up feeling burned with salt. We have had guests with high blood pressure and we had to stop and order different food. The ingredients are so good. The cheese on the pizza is so good. Their sauce is our favorite of all restaurants around here. But if you want to eat your week's worth of salt in one meal then this is the place. This place is heaven! The staff is so friendly and you get the feeling that they enjoy working there the second you walk in. It's also decorated very well and clean. While waiting for an order, the gentleman working gave me a slice of pizza to try. The crust was insanely, perfectly crispy. I was excited to try this place.. It is very nice inside. The egg frittata was okay, as was the croissant. I would say average as far as croissants go -- a little too overbaked. Cappuccino - tasted mostly of milk. Sfogliatella - I can't fairly rate these as I will never find one like they tasted in Italy. I guess it was average for around here. Returned for lunch another time and the chicken in our entree was much too tough. If it were tender and of better quality, this dish would have been very good, as the sauce was delicious. The pizza slice was overbaked and quality of cheese just wasn't good. Overall, I guess it's worth a try. Try to pick something that doesn't look over-baked. I work down the street so I figured I'd stop in last night. It's a Super cute little spot. Staff is welcoming and friendly. I got the chicken Scarpariello grinder and caprese salad. The greens and toppings of the salad were deliciously fresh and crisp. The grinder was sooooo good. It was killing me driving home smelling it ha. I love chicken scarpariello and order it frequently. The inside of the restaurant is so bright, clean, and open once you walk in. There isn't a ton of seating, so it's really a spot for small groups and takeout. The staff is very friendly and inviting, and it seems like they take the time to know their customers because one of them joked around with one of the women who came in about how her husband doesn't like cheese. I ordered the grilled chicken caprese sandwich and a slice of the pizza rustica. They heated up the slice for me to eat while I waited for the sandwich to be done, which was nice of them to offer. I took the sandwich home, and it didn't take me long to finish it because it was very good (highly recommend getting it on the sesame seed bread!), hence why I only took a picture of half the sandwich. The grilled chicken was very tender, and the balsamic was sharp and just a little sweet. I also took some seven layer cookies from their shelves filled with a multitude of Italian goodies, which were light and not overpoweringly sweet. Overall excellent vibe and food here! read more

Forgot to take a photo of our Stromboli because it looked so good, we dug right into it when we got home. Have been trying to find a place to make a broccoli Stromboli since Roberto's went out of business, and though this is different from R's, it was still delicious. The crust is a delicate balance of crusty, chewy and doughy, the cheese was flavorful and not overpowering. We asked for steamed broccoli, as opposed to marinated in garlic, and they gladly and willingly obliged, serving us a Stromboli stuffed with fresh broccoli. Super nice guys working there, great fresh custom food. Next time we'll try more, including all in the dessert case that looked amazing!! Very welcome addition to the area. read more
