Cute spot - everyone was taking out but clean, minimal decor and nice mural. First day of soft open - we waited patiently with throngs of others, everyone being quiet and understanding the newness of the business. 45 minutes later we raced home with our precious steaming bag emanating fried aroma and were not disappointed! The slaw is tasty, the sauces different and surprising (in a good way) and my favorite were the bone-in wings so huge I definitely couldn't eat all 5 myself lol Boneless wings were moist and obviously had been brined/soaked - so full of flavor I think the sauces added saltiness that wasn't needed. The crunchy coating flavor is still lingering in my mouth and I hope it stays for awhile. Only downside they were out of the sammich and the kimchi fried rice - but hey it's the first day! See you soon!

Decided to try this local place and wow they didn't disappoint. Food was so good. Chicken was fresh with the right amount of crispiness. Dipping sauces were awesome: we ordered additional side dishes and price was pretty good for the amount of food you get. We had take out but there were no little packs of wet napkins which we suggest you guys at least add those to the take out orders. Overall great food and we'll definitely come back for more. Yes we recommend !! Nice friendly environment with great customer service. Give it a try.

    Korean chicken Dippin' Sandwich

No. Everything was old. The chicken sandwich, chicken bites (kids meal), cole slaw was old I didn't even eat it. The only thing that was edible was the fries. Please don't waste your money. Look at the dried crusted up end of the old chicken. The kids meal looked promising but it was leathery, hardened, tough to chew, while other portions were fatty. The Cole slaw was slimey- very clear it was left out or made a while ago. Absolutely so disappointed to drive out to a new spot and literally threw it in the dumpster. I don't feel this food was safe to eat.

Tried out this Korean fried chicken spot and was pleasantly surprised--everything was pretty delicious! The chicken was crispy, flavorful, and cooked just right. What really impressed me, though, was the presentation--everything was boxed up so beautifully, it felt like unwrapping a gift. You can tell they take pride in their packaging, and it really elevated the whole experience. The variety of dipping sauces was a nice touch too. Most of them were really tasty and complemented the chicken well, though I wasn't the biggest fan of the ranch--it just didn't hit the same note as the others. I also tried a Dalgona treat for the first time. Besides realizing I wouldn't have made it past round two on Squid Game (my candy cracked immediately), it actually tasted great! Sweet, light, and a fun little nostalgic moment. Definitely a place I'd come back to--and next time I'll be more careful with my candy.

I highly recommend the kimchi fried rice and cheese corn, the chicken is ok not the typical Korean fried chicken you'd expect. The sauces pictured were also just ok I tried the miso ranch, Korean galbi and gochujang. I recommend the plum honey mustard one.

We first discovered Coals when they had locations in New York. After those closed, we happily started making the trip to Connecticut because nothing else compares. We've even celebrated special occasions here because the restaurant is spacious, welcoming, and has such a great atmosphere. The service is second to none. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming, and the waitstaff is always friendly, attentive, and excellent. Coals is always worth the trip, and we can't recommend it enough!

My mom had insisted on going here on Mother's Day. Fortunately, their Connecticut location was open and we went. Bianca, I believe as a manager and was super accommodating with my mom's 100 questions haha. We started with one of the salads and the brussels sprouts. Both were great, but the brussels sprouts stood out to me. As for the pizza, we got the Margherita, Rustic, & Bayside. All of them were great, but the Bayside had to be my favorite. The pistachio pesto and goat cheese went very well together. The Rustic was a close runner up- mushrooms and truffle oil are always a match made in heaven. The Margherita was a classic but with the style of super thin, almost cracker-thin pizza I preferred the other two more. All in all, my family and I would definitely make it out to Norwalk again just for this place (& we live in Long Island). Thanks Bianca for making my Mom's day!

When I moved in the area I knew that i would have a staple food place. I was mailed coupons after I became a resident allowing me to dine at the 3 places with very decant discounts to other other locations that I was unaware of. What a blessing and treat! To make a long story short, I never used the discounts until I tried each place, GLADLY going back to East Norwalk and BJ Banc. I have been back a lot, Now to Main street. Yes, a Monday with a Skelton staff tonight on July 27.. meaning they were DEAD on arrival. They was one man at the bar at 6:45 dining when I came in... I was not greeted for a bit and the barkeep, Heather I think, was very less than enthusiastic. I ordered a Pub Burger, always a good start with Onion ring side. The sides are relatively expensive to the entree, this being a burger. $6.00 for Onion Rings? Having lived in Manhattan for my 69 years I said well go for it. 6 quarter size burnt onion left overs from another order were placed in front of me. I said to her, this is $6 Onion Rings? Without a word spoken she was in the kitchen and in NO tome... 6 Onion Sized Rings were produced under cooked. The Burger. I aske for RARE to Medium being pink.... it came out DEAD! No customers, no dialogue as she was on her cell, I spent over $40 including 2 beers . I am saddened as I like this place. Why be open every day of the week, with bad staff, not being engaging and poorly served food. Open 365 may be for those that are desperate.. I am not. But I want the Main St BJ to be what I remembered and the standard of East Norwalk and Banc. I would gladly post my name here because this review is meant to be a retrospect of something that I feel is the poor sister. I wish someone would be in touch with me... you are losing steam on this one.

Love can be a funny thing…read more Before recently, I had never even heard of this place. However, what brought me here comes from a name I do recognize: Jillin It. These are matchmaker events hosted by Jill, and I know of some neat love stories that came from her events. I had actually been meaning to go to another Jillin It Event for some time, but for various it just never quite aligned. Example, I might have gone to Elicit Brewery over in Black Rock for the Valentine's Day event less than three months back, but I was in the height of recovering from H Pylori. Tonight though, I was feeling much better and I've trusted Jill's services enough for a while that I decided to go to this one. Yes, I am a hopeless single, but I'm a hopeless single that enjoys going to meet new people every now and then! We were given a ticket voucher for a drink at the bar as a part of our ticket prices. There were plenty of options that sounded good, but in the end I went with the Evil Genius Trick or Treat Chocolate Pumpkin Porter. It's a very IPA kind of drink, but the notes of chocolate were subtle yet easily identifiable. I do appreciate the bartenders here for being patient with me while I took my sweet time being the world's worst drink decider. I also grabbed up a Build A Pie as I needed food to eat right this very second when I got in. It's the first time in a while that I had tomato sauce in my pizza, but everything else I got as a topping are quite a bit like what I would choose for pizza toppings. In order as it appeared on my receipt, I had fresh mozzarella, shredded mozzarella, ricotta, bacon, basil, garlic, and hot honey. Honestly, for those toppings, the price was actually pretty good! After a $6.33 tip, I paid $28.34 for the pizza. It was a thin crust, wood-fired, and definitely a crispy lil boo thang! It's not the best pizza I've ever had, but that's because compared to other pizzas I've had this has very stiff competition. This was a W pizza right here! It hit the spot when I needed it and it's something I would order again. The ambiance however is really where one should put the most weight in when having anything from a place like this. It's a primarily outdoor place, so it was a good thing I came here on a nice evening in May! I can't imagine this being popular in the winter months or when it's raining. But it's perfect for large groups, and certainly an event like tonight's! It's great for social outings. I'm gonna go ahead and give this a 4 based on my first impressions of the place. It's definitely a good spot with good service. Long as you don't mind the kids running around and come on a good weather day, you're in for a treat! Before I go, let's bring the subject back to love for a bit. It's not easy. In fact, love can be a very hard game to play. But it works in mysterious ways. If your door is open, then let your heart be your guide.

The cornbread was also really good, soft, warm, slightly sweet, and even better with the sorghum honey butter. The mac & cheese was great. it was rich, creamy, and felt homemade in the best way. I'm not usually a fan of cole slaw, and this one was a bit watery, I should have asked if I could swap it out. The desserts were a highlight too, the peach empanada was nice and warm, buttery, paired perfectly with the ice cream and icing, and the banana pudding was smooth, classic, and comforting with the nilla wafer crumble and fresh banana.
