I ordered the Bibimbap with the spicy chicken option, it came with steamed rice with scrambled egg, lettuce, spinach, sautéed carrots, onions, and mushrooms, with Bibimbap sauce. Really flavorful and satisfying. I also got a bottle of guava soju and it paired well. For dessert, we tried the Korean donuts and I loved them. They came warm, soft, and coated in cinnamon sugar with a sweet cream dipping sauce. Honestly some of the best donuts I've had, they were fresh, warm, and delicious. If you're a fan of crispy chicken, Bonchon absolutely delivers. This was my first visit, and it made a strong impression right away. The shop looks small from the outside, but once you step in, it's surprisingly spacious. Clean, well-lit, and nicely laid out. Comfortable for dining in. We were seated immediately. Our hostess, Amber, was very patient and helpful since it was our first time. We decided to order a little bit of everything, and that was the right move. We went with the five-piece drumsticks, split half soy garlic and half Korean BBQ. The chicken is double-fried, which gives it an incredible crunch on the outside while staying juicy inside. The soy garlic was savory with a touch of sweetness and very well balanced. The Korean BBQ had more heat and bold flavor, coated in a sticky, sweet-spicy glaze that keeps you going back for more. The meal came with coleslaw, which honestly surprised me. I'm not usually a coleslaw person, but this one worked. Lightly sweet, creamy, and refreshing. It paired well with the chicken and helped cut through the richness. We also ordered the seasoned fries, and they were excellent. Crispy, well-seasoned, and topped with garlic, parmesan, and parsley that actually added flavor instead of just looking good. Easily one of the better fry sides I've had with fried chicken. I stopped in to order takeout while in the area. I decided on the Bao buns with fried chicken, 3 for $13.99. Service was fast and friendly. The inside dining are seemed very casual and it appears that take out is a popular option. There is a small outside eating area. I did not check out the restroom. The buns were pretty good, although a tad pricey in my opinion, but I may return to try a few other options. So so good! We ordered alot of stuff between all of us and our table was packed with food! I ordered the Seoul sampler and a side of spicey wings. The Seoul sampler was so good. I got the Korean bbq flavor. The chicken was crispy and flavorful! It came with 2 drums, 4 wings, bulgogi fries, pot stickers, Korean street corn, and cole slaw. The bulgogi fries were delicious. I would recommend trying them. The street corn was good too but I wasn't crazy about it. The pot stickers were interesting. They came glazed in a sauce. According to Bonchon's website: Bonchon was born in Busan, South Korea and is raised in the heart of New York City. Bonchon means "my hometown." Bonchon was already on my radar for quite some time, and today I was surprised by my family who wanted to take me out for my birthday--and bonchon was the destination! Bonchon is located where the Chef's Table use to have their restaurant, so I was familiar with the place. You can park on the street, or on their little lot, which is small and narrow, and you might be challenged in your parking skills. The establishment is long, narrow, but spacious at the same time. Bonchon applies all CDC guidelines, during these times. I am familiar with Korean BarBQ, but this was a new experience. We studied the menu's for a moment to pick our order, and to get used to unfamiliar dishes. We are all pretty used to the Thai, Indonesian, and Chinese cuisine and I was kinda thrown off with some of the dishes. The Tteokbokki looks like an Italian dish, mainly due to the color and cheese, so when I took my first bite I expected a sweet tomato-sauce taste. Wrong, it was spicy, and chewy, and my taste buds were lost for a moment. I had to take multiple bites to recover, and getting used to the dish. I'm not a stranger to kimchi, and this one also was spicy, but good. The seafood fried rice, was great but also here my taste buds and brain were not in agreement. It is like picking up 10 filled buckets with water, and then you pick up an empty one, and your arm & bucket are being launched into the air. The seafood fried rice was great, but again it took me a few bites to get used to it. It seems that my eyes and brain gave my tastebuds information that wasn't correct. The chicken wings were amazing, I love them, crispy, tasty, and meaty. The coleslaw again gave me an after taste I didn't recognize...Bonchon probably used spices I'm not familiar with. The seasoned fries were on point, we ordered 2 baskets, but 1 would've been plenty enough. Bonchon was a great experience, to learn new foods, and to be exposed to a different way of seasoning familiar foods. Deeply dissatisfied. This was my first time at this specific location. I ordered the buldak and the chicken wings/drums combo for pickup, which totaled to $38. When I arrived home, I noticed that the wings were extremely small and slightly burnt. One was smaller than my pinkie. These were unlike anything that I've previously had from the other Bonchon locations in Chicago, Hartford, and New York. I had their three leg combo covered in their Korean bbq with seasoned fries and fried doughnut. The chicken itself is not seasoned and they put very little sauce so it can be bland. The crunch is perfect though. The fries were well seasoned and perfectly cooked. I ended up dunking the chicken in the extra seasoning from the fries and it was very good. The doughnut and sauce was a great way to end the meal. Ordered online and it was prepared fast. By the time I picked it, it was ready to go. I didn't eat in but the place looked clean. Let's say that this place is so good i have been here twice in one week! I have tried the spicy chicken tacos which are to DIE FOR! I've had the japchae noodles which come with bulgoi beef and the steamed shrimp Shumai. The Shumai was with a mustard sauce which was interesting but very yummy(found in starters). The noodles was a huge order for my lunch special and i would recommend getting the tacos starters (comes with 3) for $14 than the $10 tacos for 2 on the lunch. Bon Chon is the place to go for quick serve Korean fried chicken.  It is crispy and there are several glazes you can choose from.  Normally we get a large mixed half half which is half wings and half drumsticks, half tangy sauce and the other half spicy.  This franchise location does things a little differently but it is still a very satisfying was to get your fried food fix.  We really enjoyed the dumplings and the bao buns.  The bulgogi fries were pretty indulgent and we would probably order those again too. The pickled radish and the kimchi are always crunchy and refreshing sides. We have eaten for years at other Bon Chon locations but, for some reason, found the spicy glaze at this one to actually and surprisingly (because we like spicy) to be too much.  It really overpowered the chicken and made one's lips sting a lot more than normal.  We are hoping it was just a fluke. The donuts were hot and very sugary and cinnamony of that is a word. We were originally hoping they would be mochi donuts instead. There are several tables if you would like to dine in.  Be very careful in the parking lot.  If there are other cars, it can be really, really hard to maneuver out.  Most people we saw, including us, ended up backing out of the lot onto the Post Road which is never optimal. read more

I have been excited for this coming since I seen the sign up. The ambiance is very nice in there. Very colorful. The service was good as they are still working out the kinks having been open only days. I ordered the Korean street corn, the 5 drumsticks box with either a side of coleslaw or pickled radish which I got the coleslaw, French fries , a Mopo corndog with Kewpie mayo to dip it in. First they gave me the street corn which was good but needed to be warmer as the cheese wasn't melted. The corndog wasn't really that warm either but was very cheesy and a great taste. Thirdly the chicken. It was very crunchy. I got the soy garlic sauce which was very tasty. The only disappointment was that if it wasn't for the sauce on the chicken, there would be no flavor at all. I genuinely love Bon chon but holy hell. Friends and I order a big order last night(had to come in one of those big boxes) for delivery. We ordered strips and those tend to come flat and crispy. You know. With a crunch when you bit into it. These were just regular tenderloins battered and "fried". I use quotes because they were barely cooked. Just enough that there was no pink. But absolutely no crunch. And I've gotten delivery before. No missing the crunch. The best part of Bonchon is that it crunches after it's cooled, if it's sat in a box for a drive home, and even cold out of the fridge. These were limp and rippable. All of use had have chewed pieces on our plates from feeling the chewy raw like textures. And now this morning we're waking up with the dire need of a toilet as a day thrown. Terrible terrible terrible. Will not be getting from this Bon hon location again. I'll drive the 30 min for the next spot when I'm brave enough to have bonchon again. read more

We got this for dinner and there's no way the chicken was cooked that day thinking it had to be cooked the previous day based on how dry and old it was. It was literally like trying to chew into jerky, I had to throw it out. The crunch of the fried chicken though, is amazing. They're fried perfectly. Chicken tenders were better. Very tasty. Coleslaw is decent. Potstickers are pretty good. Fries are good also. Finally tried their fried chicken, which seems to be their main thing, and they were so crunchy and juicy, and they also reheat well as leftovers in an air fryer. The pickled radishes side for one of the dishes were interesting but not enticing enough to eat the whole thing. One or two bites were enough. Honestly, I love Bonchon chicken but because they are all individually owned it's hit or miss at some locations. This location has been all over the place sometimes it's fantastic and sometimes it is not. But this is the 2nd or 3rd time I have received bad rice from here. This one in particular was really bad. I think I could have gotten sick from eating this. It was starting to brown and there were hard pieces in it. Our group recently took an outing to Bonchon and could not have been more impressed by the entire night! The eleven of us were welcomed and seated without a wait and immediately waited upon by their friendly wait staff. We ordered multiple share plates throughout the night, the star being the chicken wings which were just absolutely delicious! After searching new eateries in the area I found BonChon and my wife and I decided to give it a try. My wife is a fried chicken snob and absolutely fell in love with BonChon's recipe and preparation. On our first try we ordered the drumsticks and strips and split the flavors between Soy Garlic and Honey Sweet. Both were very good but the Honey slightly edged out Soy as our favorite. The waitress and host were both friendly and helpful. We ordered take out on our second try and went with just the drumsticks and they didn't disappoint.
