I came here on my lunch break and it was my first time here. I ordered Chicken Wings and Pork Fried Rice. I was surprised when I opened the container that they were regular wings instead of the whole wing. I could appreciate the wingettes and it's something I've never seen Chinese restaurants use before. The wings and rice were delicious and very flavorful. The staff we're very welcoming as soon you walk through the door. I will definitely be back to try other items of the menu. read more

Ok, I'm a China Man so I can leave an honest review. Ordered 3 things chicken n broc, general taos chicken and a shrimp lo mein, thank god, I didn't waste more money here!! The chic n broc was a 5/10 probably the second best thing after the white rice. General's way too sweet and dry chicken 3/10 Lo mein 1/10 unedible soooo salty and soooo much juice, I thought I was eating soup lo mein. First time in my life I threw out food! I'm almost 100% that the five star reviews are friends or people that have only eaten Bridgeport Chinese food. read more

Ate here for the first time today and got my usual general Tso's with white rice. I don't know what they do differently with their sauce but it's amazing and really stands out above many of other places I have eaten. This place used to serve good fresh food. Picked up an order of fried dumplings tonight. They seem like they were stored for a couple of weeks before they took them out to cook and serve. One of the worst Chinese food I have had. Dumplings are actually just potstickers that are likely just reheated frozen food (they also forgot the dumpling sauce). Lo mein is covered in too much soy sauce. Egg roll is also terrible. Only thing that wasn't terrible was the general tos chicken, which didn't even taste like general tos, it was too sweet. This the the vegetable lo mein, 10/10. I called and the man was so polite and was able to give me the total right away. Once I got there, the staff was very welcoming and personable. I have been dying to find a good take out Chinese place in Bridgeport and after several experiences, I think I finally found the one. I was also given a large soda complimentary with my purchase. Over the weekend I was craving some Chinese food. So I googled the best reviewed/highest star Chinese place in Bridgeport CT and this restaurant came up. I'm so upset that this is my first time knowing about this place!!! The food was amazing and I can see why they are highly rated. I love that the kitchen is an open space for which you can see your food being cooked. Another thing that I love is that you can get your own sauces!!!! Used to have a great rep.....THERE MUST HAVE BEEN A CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP......It's not all terrible. The basics, are ok lo mein, fried rice and the like are edible. Personally, I'm never going back. The ribs and the wonton soup were horrible. So inconsistent as well. What you like today will not be the same when you order it tomorrow. They just don't seem to care, and it shows. Kind of a shame, they used to be decent. I wonder if they have new people working in the kitchen. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT! ...and I love Chinese food. Doesn't take much to please me. This place was good but slowly has been getting worse and worse over the past few years I should gone with gut feeling when a Mexican man was working behind the counter of a Chinese restaurant and there was a strange smell in the restaurant , but unfortunately I didn't and everything just went down hill from there !!!!!! The egg rolls where small and mushy and greasy !!! The steak , pepper was not good , the steak was a tan color very scary !!!! The Mei Fun was disgusting it tasted like food that was sitting for days !!! This is a solid place for chinese food been here a few times already. I dont know what happened last time i was there but boneless spare ribs were not the same, wings were overcooked and eggrolls are soggy. Maybe a bad day. The 2 times before that they were good. read more

Mom and me went to this restaurant last weekend....and boy were we surprised!!!!! I always say that the little hole in the wall places are the best and this one is it!!!! They have two tables...and 4 or 5 tall stools at a window so you can sit and eat your meal inside. It's a nice clean place. The guy at the register was very friendly. We had two combination plates. Mom had the pepper steak with onion and I had the shrimp with lobster sauce. Both came with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Mom had the chicken rice soup and I had the egg drop. I also ordered the steamed (boiled) pork dumplings. I can honestly say out of all the Chinese restaurants around this food tasted the best. Everything was fresh. The soups were savory. The egg rolls were great......and not greasy. My shrimp with lobster sauce was AWESOME!!!! The sauce has little strips of chicken in it....which I've never had it like that and it gave it a different taste. Mom said her pepper steak was very very good. The dumpling filling was alittle different to what I'm used too.....but okay. I actually like Dynastys (in Stratford) dumplings better. So they could be done better. Other than that.....the Peking Restaurant did it for us. They've got us as one of their new customers. read more

To be clear upfront: The food was GOOD, as people are saying, I have no food complaints. this review is just to say The prices on the menu featured in photos here are not accurate, so call and ask or go in person for a menu because they apparently don't put their menu online. And also they really don't care that the prices found on this app--which is very helpful for their business but that they don't acknowledge the existence of--are misleading by several dollars per item. Yes I now see the photos of the menu are "over 4 years old" and I guess I'm a dummy for not double checking that when I ordered, but I ordered specifically because of the very affordable prices from their menu. So anyway don't expect the very affordable prices reflected on the menu photos. The food is good, but priced the same way every other restaurant is, and if you express even slight curiosity at your order being $7 more than you expected don't be surprised if they act like you're an idiot for using the internet which they apparently don't officially advertise on or endorse. read more
