    Best thing on menu!

Ok, I'm a China Man so I can leave an honest review. Ordered 3 things chicken n broc, general taos chicken and a shrimp lo mein, thank god, I didn't waste more money here!! The chic n broc was a 5/10 probably the second best thing after the white rice. General's way too sweet and dry chicken 3/10 Lo mein 1/10 unedible soooo salty and soooo much juice, I thought I was eating soup lo mein. First time in my life I threw out food! I'm almost 100% that the five star reviews are friends or people that have only eaten Bridgeport Chinese food.

Spicy General chow chicken with pork fried rice, And its pretty good, and also large for the combo with the egg roll!

Good, quick takeout Chinese food with a great menu and good people who work there as well.

    Metal piece

We bought food from here on 12/4 and when we bit into the fried plantains we found this piece of metal in the plantains

This place used to serve good fresh food. Picked up an order of fried dumplings tonight. They seem like they were stored for a couple of weeks before they took them out to cook and serve. Threw them in the trash. Very disappointing. Now I have to find a new place to get quality Chinese takeout. Too bad...

Orange chicken, pork fried rice, house special lo mein, fried chicken wing, egg rolls.

Over the weekend I was craving some Chinese food. So I googled the best reviewed/highest star Chinese place in Bridgeport CT and this restaurant came up. I'm so upset that this is my first time knowing about this place!!! The food was amazing and I can see why they are highly rated. I love that the kitchen is an open space for which you can see your food being cooked. Another thing that I love is that you can get your own sauces!!!! You're not limited to 2 duck sauces lol.

    Pekings Wade street

If you live in Bridgeport, you KNOW Pekings is the BEST chinese food spot around. The food is always super fresh, the service is good, it truly lives up to its 5 stars rating. The egg rolls are super crisp and fresh, the fried rice is actually yellow and even the Broccoli is on point.

The chicken rice soup.....almost gone cause it was soooooo good!!!!!

When I found out that China Wok was now called New China Wok, I decided to get a meal here for old time's sake. There isn't much to look at inside; there's a few tables, but it's still mainly a hole in the wall takeout spot. The front desk person was kind and diligent and I got my meal quickly. The food was mostly good, but I was a little disappointed. I decided to get the first meal I ever ordered from this place: the General Tso's Chicken combo, which comes with roast pork fried rice and a roast pork egg roll. A couple of broccoli crowns separate the chicken from the rice. The General Tso's sauce was just as delicious as I remember; very savory and a little spicy. Texture of the chicken and breading were very nice as well. Their roast pork fried rice is a customer favorite and it was still delicious. The flavor from the roast pork permeates all of the rice and pairs perfectly with the chicken. The egg roll was crispy and savory and there wasn't any excess grease. It tastes great by itself, with duck sauce or with the General Tso's sauce. Unfortunately, then I tried the vegetable lo mein. They used to make great lo mein, but the sauce wasn't the same this time. The noodles and vegetables were fine, but the more I ate, the less I liked it. This tasted barely average. Since I wasn't enjoying it much, I decided not to finish it, since it wasn't worth the sodium. After I finished eating, I decided to compare the new menu with a copy of the old menu I still had. Some of their best dishes are no longer available. Where's the Chow Sam Din? Where's the Twice Cooked Pork? Others were missing as well. The two dishes I mentioned were among my favorites. I think they should bring them back if they still have the recipes. I would stay away from the lo mein, but I enjoyed everything else. Still very good food overall, especially for the price, however LC Chen's isn't far away and they are more expensive, but superior.

The egg rolls were good. The boneless spareribs were chewy and probably reheated.. The shrimp and lobster sauce was my highlight. Flavorful, large well cooked shrimp, and generous amount of shrimp. However, the lobster sauce was more of a thin lobster soup. This could be a great dish. Lastly the house special lo mein was a little disappointing. The flavor was good, but the noodles were overcooked and cut into pieces. It was odd to me, but it was as though each Long noodle was cut into thirds. I do think this restaurant has great potential, but overall, I can only rate it a three.
