Been in Fairfield for 30 years, been going here as long as I can remember. It's the quintessential take out joint. The inside is rough, but the food is very good. Is it "fusion" Chinese/fill-in-the blank? No. It's the usual classic dishes that aren't greasy. And never were, I don't understand why people mention the greasy nonsense. Oh, and I moved here from NYC and know great Chinese takeout. The other Chinese places around black rock area are terrible. I know several people who come over from in-town to order here. Is the owner a bit "abrupt" on the phone, yeah but she and her husband are such nice people. And I've seen their kids grow up as they help out there. It's a gem. read more

Well portioned. cooked very well, haven't had an issue with the food so far. On uber eats they are named fuji japanese & chinese.

I will admit, the plaza looks super dead and lifeless despite having a pretty good location, so I was quite concerned. The eggroll was super good - it felt light to eat and made me instantly want another one. It wasn't too greasy, it wasn't too oily, wonderful. Can I give it 0 stars! The worst place ever. Last week after the gym I was really tired and I didn't feel like cooking so since I'm New it the area, I figured let me try it. BIG MISTAKE!!! I ordered chicken lo mein, I payed (event tipped her). I took it home really looking forward to have it. As I'm filling my plate I found this gross piece of curly black short thick hair!!! I called for delivery. The food arrived in 45 minutes as stated. The boneless spare ribs were pretty good but the garlic chicken was very good. Impressed that they listened to my specifications for extra water chestnuts and spicey. The food was indeed extra spicy as ordered and very fresh with a lot of water chestnuts. Good food for sure. This place is some of the best Chinese around, the lomein is particularly good, with big broccoli florets in it. Not at all greasy. The ribs are a bit thick cut for my taste but they are cooked well. I never knew this place existed, until I stayed at a hotel near that stretch of Bridgeport Ave. Wow, am I glad I gave it a try! I was hesitant, at first...as someone here mentioned, it needs a coat of paint, or something to make it look more pleasant as you walk in. But what I've had so far, has been great, most especially, the pork chop suey! You know how many take-out places have those red, thin and hard strips that are supposed to be pork? Well, not here, this chop suey had big, tender pieces of pork, almost seemed like roast pork, and lots of it, along with plenty of sauce. If I could give 0 star I would- First time ordering from here. When we got home realized the order of the appetizer was in correct and missing the sauce that goes along with it. I called to ask for a refund to my card as I didn't want to drive back. The woman told me no and said I had to drive back and show her the food. I proceeded to explain that I didn't want to drive back again when she yelled "bring food back" and hung up on me. As I walked in she was rude, argumentative, turned her back on me, and still would not let me speak. I did receive my refund, in cash, and as she "handed" me the money the change went all over the floor. I told her regardless of how rude you were to me I came in here calm and respectful to which she cut me off and said "OKAY BYE" and turned her back on me, again. Dragon 168 is pretty much exactly what you're looking for when you think of Chinese food take out. They have all of the standard menu items. Today I had the lunch special, L9, which is chicken and broccoli. You get the option of white or pork fried rice and the choice of soda, egg roll or soup. Not bad for under $6! The portion was pretty big and I struggled to finish it all (but I managed). The chicken and broccoli was tasty and the rice was ok. It's basically your standard Chinese takeout. I have never eaten in the dining area and probably won't. There are tables but it's more like they're there because there is so much room... I rarely see anyone eating in there. If they wanted to make it more desirable to their customers, they'd want to put a fresh coat of paint on and clean it a bit. The woman at the counter is always friendly and has a smile on her face. Food is not good. General Tso Chicken tasted more like butter than anything else. They didn't have "Dan Dan Noodles" or knew what it was.

Disappointing. The food was very greasy and had little flavor. I had the boneless spare ribs, which were overcooked and quite tough. My spouse seemed to enjoy his General Tso's Chicken, although this was also greasy. I recommend going to one of the other Chinese places inilford. read more
