General Tsos Tofu. $11 for both (lunch special). Get it with brown rice. Yum!

General Tso's Bean Curd (Tofu) is AMAZING! Always so fresh and I get it with brown rice. So delicious and one of the best I've had. I use to go to Fairfield but since trying this place, this is my go-to place for a fast comfort meal that's vegan. Thank you!

    Crab Rangoon with no filling

Quite unimpressed by this Chinese restaurant. I ordered take out for dinner. We got the Pu Pu platter for two, which was very small and unlike the traditional pu pu platter mix that I'm used to ( I should mention I am from MA and realize it is hard to find good Chinese food in other states). The vegetable fried rice was good. Fried wontons were described as dumplings and were not dumplings at all and very over cooked. Crab Rangoon were also over cooked possibly made much earlier in the day (around dinner time I would expect fresh) and they did not have much filling in them, two of them had absolutely no filling at all! This was this first Chinese place in CT that I have tried, needless to say I will be continuing my search for good Chinese in this area.

The best Lo Mein, boneless spareribs, on-the-bone spareribs, and of course, chicken wings and fries! Great Service and Ambiance is fine.

Only get it if you're in the mood for abdominal cramps and lots of visits to the bathroom. I will never order from here again.

Best fried chicken wings in town! Fried rice is always fresh. Their wonton soup and egg rolls are delicious. Wish they delivered.

When I found out that China Wok was now called New China Wok, I decided to get a meal here for old time's sake. There isn't much to look at inside; there's a few tables, but it's still mainly a hole in the wall takeout spot. The front desk person was kind and diligent and I got my meal quickly. The food was mostly good, but I was a little disappointed. I decided to get the first meal I ever ordered from this place: the General Tso's Chicken combo, which comes with roast pork fried rice and a roast pork egg roll. A couple of broccoli crowns separate the chicken from the rice. The General Tso's sauce was just as delicious as I remember; very savory and a little spicy. Texture of the chicken and breading were very nice as well. Their roast pork fried rice is a customer favorite and it was still delicious. The flavor from the roast pork permeates all of the rice and pairs perfectly with the chicken. The egg roll was crispy and savory and there wasn't any excess grease. It tastes great by itself, with duck sauce or with the General Tso's sauce. Unfortunately, then I tried the vegetable lo mein. They used to make great lo mein, but the sauce wasn't the same this time. The noodles and vegetables were fine, but the more I ate, the less I liked it. This tasted barely average. Since I wasn't enjoying it much, I decided not to finish it, since it wasn't worth the sodium. After I finished eating, I decided to compare the new menu with a copy of the old menu I still had. Some of their best dishes are no longer available. Where's the Chow Sam Din? Where's the Twice Cooked Pork? Others were missing as well. The two dishes I mentioned were among my favorites. I think they should bring them back if they still have the recipes. I would stay away from the lo mein, but I enjoyed everything else. Still very good food overall, especially for the price, however LC Chen's isn't far away and they are more expensive, but superior.

The egg rolls were good. The boneless spareribs were chewy and probably reheated.. The shrimp and lobster sauce was my highlight. Flavorful, large well cooked shrimp, and generous amount of shrimp. However, the lobster sauce was more of a thin lobster soup. This could be a great dish. Lastly the house special lo mein was a little disappointing. The flavor was good, but the noodles were overcooked and cut into pieces. It was odd to me, but it was as though each Long noodle was cut into thirds. I do think this restaurant has great potential, but overall, I can only rate it a three.
