I have been coming here for 17 yrs. & a lot has changed. The food doesn't taste the same(still better than any other Chinese spot). They took out the tables & downsized b/c of covid. It's so tiny inside now. They charge you just to add bbq or hot sauce on your food. Thats horrible! Plus, the woman up front always changes the prices to a higher price. I order the same thing all the time & she tried to tell me a different price. I almost didn't get it but I was craving it so I paid her price. She's terrible! I wonder if it's different owners.

I come here once in a while when I have my half a chicken craving. Last time I came I ordered two orders with fries. It was really good and fried fresh. They serve you fast as well. 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your order. This place is small nowhere to sit. Just a grab and go style chinese takeout. Kinda want it again next time I come out here to Bridgeport.

Came here while seeing a play up the street. I ordered via an app and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. They were busy. Very busy. What irked me was that I had to wait almost 45 minutes, in addition to the 20 that I already had, to get the to go order. When I got it back to the theater, only a mile away, it wasn't hot. The food was decent quality. Nothing to write home about, but typical flavors one would expect, but was disappointed at the wait and the temperature of the food.

Food is great to me! They also deliver but is closed on Sundays which is a bummer. Prices are reasonable as well

It was just okay, not worth what I paid; I will not go back. The wings were small and overcooked.

I ordered chicken wings and pork fried rice. It seems like the chicken recipe changed. Or they were rushing. Rice was good.

The standout was their hot sauce, which was seriously good.

When I found out that China Wok was now called New China Wok, I decided to get a meal here for old time's sake. There isn't much to look at inside; there's a few tables, but it's still mainly a hole in the wall takeout spot. The front desk person was kind and diligent and I got my meal quickly. The food was mostly good, but I was a little disappointed. I decided to get the first meal I ever ordered from this place: the General Tso's Chicken combo, which comes with roast pork fried rice and a roast pork egg roll. A couple of broccoli crowns separate the chicken from the rice. The General Tso's sauce was just as delicious as I remember; very savory and a little spicy. Texture of the chicken and breading were very nice as well. Their roast pork fried rice is a customer favorite and it was still delicious. The flavor from the roast pork permeates all of the rice and pairs perfectly with the chicken. The egg roll was crispy and savory and there wasn't any excess grease. It tastes great by itself, with duck sauce or with the General Tso's sauce. Unfortunately, then I tried the vegetable lo mein. They used to make great lo mein, but the sauce wasn't the same this time. The noodles and vegetables were fine, but the more I ate, the less I liked it. This tasted barely average. Since I wasn't enjoying it much, I decided not to finish it, since it wasn't worth the sodium. After I finished eating, I decided to compare the new menu with a copy of the old menu I still had. Some of their best dishes are no longer available. Where's the Chow Sam Din? Where's the Twice Cooked Pork? Others were missing as well. The two dishes I mentioned were among my favorites. I think they should bring them back if they still have the recipes. I would stay away from the lo mein, but I enjoyed everything else. Still very good food overall, especially for the price, however LC Chen's isn't far away and they are more expensive, but superior.

I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. First of all, the service is very good and the owners…read moreare very nice. The ambience is that of a simple takeout restaurant. The egg rolls were good. The boneless spareribs were chewy and probably reheated.. The shrimp and lobster sauce was my highlight. Flavorful, large well cooked shrimp, and generous amount of shrimp. However, the lobster sauce was more of a thin lobster soup. This could be a great dish. Lastly the house special lo mein was a little disappointing. The flavor was good, but the noodles were overcooked and cut into pieces. It was odd to me, but it was as though each Long noodle was cut into thirds. I do think this restaurant has great potential, but overall, I can only rate it a three.
