    2. West Lake Beef Soup

Came back and tried other dishes and was not disappointed. The dry pot prawn was excellent and spicy, the sole filet with pepper salt was light (our favorite), and the prawns in oyster sauce with bok choy and mushrooms was good too. And we loved the bamboo shoots with wild pepper sauce. The service was good, and the food came out fast. We came just before 3 p.m. on a Saturday, and it was not busy. Perfect time. Can't wait to go back!

    2. Ma Po Tofu - surprisingly good and spicy

Definitely better than the 3.5 rating Yelp has otherwise. I'm really surprised! Our meal was really solid. The mapo tofu was some of the best I've had in CT. I eat the beef and pepper any day. I think I'd probably just skip the chili oil dumplings, which didn't have the best consistency for me. I'll be getting food from here again, for sure.

My daughter and I call this out secret lunch spot! The vegetable dishes are so good here that I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything, yum!

Best Chinese food in Milford. Real Chinese food with uncommon ingredients. Maybe even the best in New Haven County

Food is great. Prices are reasobable and the service is good. However, I don't believe they pass on tips to help staff.

Our favorite go-to Chinese restaurant. Huge menu, good service, low frills atmosphere.

GO ELSEWHERE! It's a dog pound and I would leave it ZERO stars if I could…read more FOOD: Horrible! Eggrolls so greasy the oil gushes down your palm. Orange and Gerneral Tso's chicken is woody - hard and stringy. Pork Fried Rice has NO onions, peas or carrots and has only a few tiny bits of pork, so basically you're ordering yellow rice with a few tiny pieces of bean sprouts. YUCK! The white rice was ok. Pan Fried Dumplings were tiny, overfried wontons so hard they were inedible... one of us almost broke a tooth! We have had better food from cheap food carts! You will NOT receive crunchy noodles, sauces, utensils or napkins and don't even think of asking for chopsticks because the first time I did the BEAST behind the counter (the taller "man") berated me for asking! Which leads me to my next point... SERVICE: Both men taking orders at the counter are RUDE, unfriendly, and rabidly argumentative! They literally drive people away! One (the smaller man) is stone-faced, doesn't make eye contact and sneers at you and the taller one is MEAN! He argues, treats you like dirt (when he's not on a personal phone call and trying to ignore you) and one time he SHOUTED at my elderly mother because she politely asked to add something to our order! He should be ashamed of himself!!! RESTAURANT: We visit the small convenience store in this strip mall very often to buy Lottery tickets and in all these years we have never seen anyone go in or come out of Tung Hing. That should have been our clue to avoid this place like the plague but we decided to try it. First impression? Tons of boxes stacked up on both sides. The second you enter you feel like you're in a warehouse. The boxes are filled with orders to save them from using (and paying for) bags. The floor was filthy and as you know the front area of any restaurant is usually indicative of the cleanliness (or lack thereof) in the back area. Look up and you will see DUST on almost every visible surface! YUCK! Read the other reviews and you will see that the two males working the front counter are rude, NASTY and driving people away, even those of us who live closeby. You will also see this food is dishwater mediocre. There is no flavor in any of it and... Never,. not once did we ever receive a receipt! That's a red flag too. You're probably being overcharged. Try asking for one and I'll bet the creep will shout at you! Never go here! Eat anywhere else. You deserve decent food for your money, a clean restaurant and friendly service. F-

They also offer a wide variety of entrees, apps and combination plans. Combos with contain a meat/entree with eggroll and side of fried rice start at like $9.75 while entrees served with white rice start at closer to $11. Everything comes in sturdy to-go containers that can be reused and that will keep the food hot for the ride home. When ordering for pickup, they are really accurate with their time estimates over the phone. They are down to business when you call to order. You can grab any sauce you want when you ask including a spicy mustard.
