Come here just because the owner/workers are the friendliest people ever!! Walk in and you are immediately welcomed. They make sure you understand the menu if you've never been there before. They have new soups every week that rotates. And their sandwiches are AMAZING!!! I tried the GTFOH Sandwich and it was out of this world!! The sauce was delicious. Super friendly staff, was my first time. Just started working in Norwalk. Got a steak and cheese which was pretty good. Personally for me it was under seasoned. If I had added salt myself I'm sure I would have thought it was great. Got the house chips, props that they make their own. I won't say anything negative because of the effort. They also gave me a free cookie which they tried to give me free chips (I had already ordered the chips and they subbed for a cookie) going to have to still give them a great review because of the menu. Seems like they have so many great options. More soups during soup season. Love that they seem to care more than most places. All in all, great menu, great staff, clean environment. We stopped here totally randomly because we were in the area! Didn't look like much from the outside and nearly aborted as we wanted a sit down meal, but we gave it a shot and we are so glad that we did. We dined in for breakfast with my husband getting a big breakfast sandwich with homemade chili, bacon, eggs and cheese. All the things, it was huge! I got an omelette that had bacon AND sausage and American cheese. The food was made fresh and HOT and it was all so yummy!!! We want to return for lunch, there are so many homemade sauces I'd like to try. The staff there and the man preparing the food are so freaking nice and welcoming. Overall big win! Loved Blue Cactus Grill! Looks very unassuming from the outside but inside is full of magic. It has a deli feel to it with a counter and the grill in the back, couple tables to eat at inside. Service is great, gentlemen was passionate about working there, love to see that. My wife and I got breakfast, I had the Bronx Bomber on a hard roll containing bacon, egg, delicious homemade chili, potato which were fries, and cheese of course. Delicious sandwich, great size as a well. They have a Ron of house made sauces to try out as well and they bottle them if you like them so much, pretty amazing. My wife got the American omelet which had both bacon and sausage and we split an order of the home fries. They were the diced variety, wished they were slightly more crispy but still loved them and put sauce all over them. I have to get back to try them for lunch, this place rocks!! read more

I have come here very often as a local Norwalkian! This place never misses. Their take on classic burgers, breakfast sandwiches, and even their fries are elite. The staff is very nice and are patient with you since the menu is pretty vast! Inside is simple and clean. There's about 5 tables if you want to eat there but while we ate there you can see a lot of people come to pick up lunch or breakfast. I've had several sandwiches here, and they all are really good. If you like cheese steak, you can't go wrong here. Today I had Vic's famous, which has hot and sweet peppers, onions, chili and chipotle mayo on top of the steak and cheese. It is just amazing! Be prepared for an enormous sandwich. Half is more than enough, but it tastes so good you're going to eat both halves. The cactus slaw is always fresh, crispy and a perfect accompaniment to any of their sandwiches. We came here while in CT for a homeschool field trip. Hubby really wanted a Philly cheesesteak and this place had really great reviews so we decided to check it out. I'm not gonna lie...when we pulled up, I had serious reservations. LOL. I checked Yelp to make sure we were in the right spot. We went in, checked out the menu and made our order. Hubby got his cheesesteak, babes had tendies n fries, and I got a few different items, including their AMAZING cactus slaw, jalapeño poppers and NE clam chowder. All of the food was really good. This food was super fresh and who I think was the owner was super nice. I asked if the chili was spicy because we wanted to order some for someone else he was willing to give me a taste. I thought that was really accommodating on his part. I was disappointed when my sandwich came out hot I thought I was ordering a cold sandwich. I'm biased against hot sandwiches (I think they eat messy) and the clam chowder ate heavy. Too much cream and potatoes for my taste but it did have good flavor. I also didn't enjoy eating the quesadilla that fell apart in my hands. I don't like messy food. I think they would greatly benefit from putting out those cheap clear plastic gloves. I had stopped here for a quick weekday brunch. I had placed my order online on their website for an easy pickup. I had come to the restaurant before it was prepared so I had 5min or so to wait for the food. The place had a few people around but not too many for a 10am weekday. The cashier was joyful and seemed happy to be working when she handed me my order. I instantly rushed to the car to eat as I was hungry. The burrito itself seemed fairly average. It was rather large and I only could eat half for breakfast and saved the other half to eat some hours later. I had wished they had grilled or cooked the wrap a little as the ratio of bread to fillings felt more prominent than other burritos I've had. Nothing special - small hole in the wall deli that coworkers and myself tried. I got the Cobb salad and my tomatoes were forgotten . Coworker had one of The famous cheese steak sandwiches and it was dry. We also got cheese fries which were quite soggy. Not sure if this place is just having a rough Monday or what. It's a very small spot that you would miss if you didn't know it was there. we ordered before-hand and went to pick it up: everything was ready very quickly. I was also able to make changes to my wrap and add toppings which was nice. The sin sauce was not what i was expecting but it was great. I was expecting a buffalo-ranch sauce and this was not that. This is not about the food as I have said in my previous review how great it is. This is more of a surprised the way they treat customers.and so others don't deal with the same. I called at exactly 730 for a delivery they close at 8. When I asked the lady on the phone was really hesitant. Then after a few well uhm I guess, she says for future references call before 730 because we close at 8. Just this once we will fire the grill back up for you. Wait so your saying you close the grill before 730 when you close at 8? What about walk Ins? Don't act like you're doing me any favors lady. I'm doing you a favor by choosing to spend my hard earned money here and not one of the 3000 other places norwalk has to eat. Just very rude and shows you don't value your repeat customers at all.
