Chicken and waffle sandwich with fries!!!
Terrell A.

Picked up food for lunch. I got the chicken and waffle sandwich and was not disappointed at all. Very delicious and comes with fries. Also big enough portion to have some leftover. The order was ready within 15-20 mins and the staff were very courteous and friendly. I want to go back for happy hour and have a drink and try some other stuff on the menu. It's not a huge place but looks very cozy and a few TVs to keep you entertained.

Food is good American fare. Standard bar bites. Great craft beer and drink selection. Chicken wings were fried perfectly, crispy on outside and juicy inside. Slider was cooked to perfect medium per request and waffle fries are soooooo good. Beef empanadas are delicious and served with a creamy green sauce with hints of cilantro. Mozzarella sticks were the best I've ever had. Crispy outside and great cheese pull. Fried pickles has a cornmeal batter consistency to keep them very crispy and hold together but a bit thick for my liking. Pickles themselves were delicious. Service is great. Many regulars in the bar area watching ball games. It's a little community where everyone knows each others names and it's nice that the staff know their patrons. Very welcoming place. Great decor inside. Modern, clean and smells good as they had candles lit. Parking is on the side and back of the restaurant. I found out they have brunch on the weekends and I look forward to trying it out.

Great atmosphere and very friendly service. We chose to come here for Sunday Brunch. I had the Mexican Benedict and it was fantastic. The rum punch on the cocktail menu is delicious!

I would like to state the waitress was extremely knowledgeable, informative, respectful, friendly, and all around outstanding. The ambience was chill and decent. It has its regulars, which is good. It was quiet and rowdy at the same time, if this makes sense, since it is still a bar. I deducted 3 stars for three reasons. I took a star off because the Philly cheese steak my grandpa ordered was unpleasantly salty and rather dry. There also wasn't much cheese and really no flavor, unfortunately. He stated it was the worst Philly Cheese Steak he's ever eaten. He also stated his sweet potato fries were over-seasoned with salt. I decided to remove another star since my grandma did not enjoy the margarita pizza she shared with her sister. She felt the pizza was too thin, crunchy, and a bit hard to eat. The cheese was also too salty for her. Another star was removed because I did not enjoy my pizza either, despite it being a custom pizza. I should have asked what type of goat cheese they used instead of assuming it was the same type I use when I make homemade pizza. The goat cheese tasted fine; the problem I had was with the sauce, thin crust, and the honey hot chicken. I felt the sauce was unappetizing and had a strange taste. The thin crust was unpleasant and felt a bit undercooked; the honey hot chicken lacked any taste of honey or hot sauce, it just tasted like grilled chopped chicken. Despite eating the whole 12-inch pizza, since I had not eaten all day, it was rather disappointing and ironic that the waitress even noticed I was not satisfied with the meal. My family and I had high hopes since a family friend we were visiting recommended this place, and spoke highly of this place's food and diversity. Overall, my family and I will most likely not dine here again. We essentially just ate the food since we were all starving in the moment.

Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad

First time here, food was very good. It's a bar menu so nothing fancy but if you're looking for a food bar, beer, food, sports on tv, then give this place a try. We had the nachos (very fresh and tasty) as well as a Blackened Chicken Ceasar. The chicken was very well seasoned, and tasty.

Lite pitcher

The happy hour prices are quite reasonable. We got the miller lite pitcher for 12$. However, the wings and nachos seemed a bit stale. Especially the wings. I am sure the wings were cooked a long time ago and just tossed in the sauce I chose. Very hard and stale. Disappointed with the food! We got the waffle churros with vanilla ice cream for desert. This was absolutely the delightful dish of my DDBG VISIT. I would try this desert again.

I haven't been here in many years definitely before being bought out by the chain PARKING - the definition of disaster. But they have a few spot's available ENTRANCE - you are kind of on your own so catch an employee for a table CLEANLINESS - a negative for me in that there was an old beer smell from the night before. I worked in bars decades ago and whom ever cleaned didn't do a good job MENU - very limited but definitely pub and grub WAITER - this is 5 star for sure service was exceptional. Albeit the policy there is you have to wrap your own doggie bags. APPETIZERS - the wings were dry and over cooked. The calamari was rubbery but the breading was light which is good. ENTREES - I had fish tacos and not great. The shells were soft and under cooked. There was no flavor at all. Had to add pepper and spices DECOR - very different but they have 2 big screen TV's for sports PRICE. - we had a party of 7 and with tax and tip the bill was just under $300 so not awful

Calamari was delicious and perfectly fried. The pickles were delicious but the sauce could use a little love!

If you know me and my girlfriend you know that we will literally travel anywhere for fried pickles! So a couple weeks ago our search for the best fried pickles took us to @drydockbargrille in Norwalk! Literally these were the best ones we have had and the potato skins and pickle back shots weren't too shabby either! I highly recommend @drydockbargrille if you are in the Norwalk area looking for a great place to grab a bite and some drinks!

Damn what a night this has been!…read more So a friend and I decided to come eat here after going to a funeral visitation for a co-worker. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.

They have a fun burger selection, ranging from a classic bacon, lettuce, and tomato burger to the KC Burger, which I ordered. Mine came piled with an onion ring, jalapeño peppers, cheddar cheese, and Sweet Baby Ray's sauce on a toasted seeded roll. All burgers come with a small side of coleslaw, pickle chips, and your choice of fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings, which is a nice touch. The person I was with ordered the Chino Burger, loaded with bacon, fried onions, and plenty of fresh blue cheese. The food came out hot and tasty, and the burgers were definitely thick and filling. My only real complaint was that the burger could have used a little more seasoning, and I think it would have gone up another notch if it had been flame-broiled instead of seared. Overall, this is not a fancy place, but it is a solid spot for a quality meal. If you are in the area or just passing through, I would recommend checking it out.

Both were great, but the brussels sprouts stood out to me. As for the pizza, we got the Margherita, Rustic, & Bayside. All of them were great, but the Bayside had to be my favorite. The pistachio pesto and goat cheese went very well together. The Rustic was a close runner up- mushrooms and truffle oil are always a match made in heaven. The Margherita was a classic but with the style of super thin, almost cracker-thin pizza I preferred the other two more. The desserts were a highlight too, the peach empanada was nice and warm, buttery, paired perfectly with the ice cream and icing, and the banana pudding was smooth, classic, and comforting with the nilla wafer crumble and fresh banana. Even my starter arugula lemon vinaigrette salad was delicious. Service was excellent and attentive, and the ambiance is definitely upscale and stylish.
