Coals had such a unique style of grilled pizza that was super thin and crispy! It was a good change up from normal pizza, and I really liked that I wasn't so weighed down after eating it. My favorite was the Dean Martin with huge slices of pepperoni! Whatever you do, don't sleep on their wings! The cilantro ones were our favorite, but the Buffalo and maple rosemary were fantastic too! Fresh salads, creative cocktails, and the Nutella pizza made for a great dessert. I love the quirky vibe with different paintings and memorabilia! The food all came out quickly, and everyone was nice that we encountered!

So happy to have found that this spot, after closing in Port Chester, was now in Norwalk. The wings are AMAZING, and I've missed them so much, I was super excited to have them again after 2+ years. Better than I remembered and the pizza was so good!! Highly recommend The Dean Martin. The staff here is super friendly, and attentive, as well.

Overall: Coals is an eclectically decorated coal-fired pizza joint serving up bold flavors. Even if some don't jive the way they're supposed to, nothing came close to falling flat! Appetizers: Maple Rosemary Wings ($15) - Crispy and flavorful, though verging on overly sweet. Rosemary was subtle enough, it probably could be left out of the name, as the maple flavor dominated. Cilantro Wings ($15) - These were some of the best appetizer wings I've ever had, though they tasted more of a delicious honey mustard than they did cilantro. Delicious, but a misnomer. Entrees: Dean Martin Pizza ($18) - Topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, pecorino, and basil, this margarita pizza had beautiful crust and the perfect saltiness from the cured pepperoni slices, which were generous and perfectly sliced. Squealin' Pig Pizza ($18) - Topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, grana padano, bacon, hot honey, and scallions, this pizza had equally delicious crust, but the honey was not hot at all, and its sweetness was actually a tad overpowering, though tasty nonetheless. Marlon Pizza ($18) - Topped with fresh mozzarella, tomato, roasted peppers, arugula, pecorino, and spicy oil, this one had the kick that I expected from the Hot Honey, and was a delicious bite. Cheeseburger ($16.50) - This burger, while not outside the box or novel in any way, was cooked perfectly, juicy, hefty, and flavorful. Dessert: Nutella Pizza ($9) - This was the first Nutella I truly loved! Crispy, thin, and not drowning in Nutella. Perfectly ratioed.

I tried this place for the first time yesterday when I went out to dinner with friends and I went back again today for lunch. The restaurant itself could use a little bit of TLC, but the service was very good and the food was delicious. Their menu is not overly large and is a bit unique as their pizza and wings are both grilled. pizza does not look like the most appetizing pizza, but the flavors are all there. It was thin, crispy and slightly charred on the bottom. They have a few different options for toppings, and we tried a bunch, they were all very good. The wings were some of the best wings I have had in the area. I did not have to ask for them to be cooked well done all of the orders came out hot and crispy. I personally do not like the chicken wings are very large, and I hate when they are chewy. These were small, saucy, and super crunchy. They have three different sauces, buffalo, cilantro, and maple rosemary. The only negative I would say is that they don't have their own homemade blue cheese, and the Ken blue cheese just did not do it for me.

Can we talk about what a life changing experience going to Crust Issues has been?…read more I mean, yes, y'all are right, your parking is utter shizz. But the food?! My God. We had the most amazing dishes. The garlic knots are somehow both crispy on the outside and soft and light on the inside with the most amazing garlic butter. The mozzarella sticks covered in the marinated peppers are amazing. I am going to dream about the salad INSIDE the pizza. The pastina was perfection. The wings were crispy and the sauce was heavenly. And the pizza was almost like a focaccia with all the flavor and creative toppings only evil geniuses can provide. The restaurant was clean and had great atmosphere; well decorated and cozy. The staff was friendly and fun. You are clearly an enclave of sarcastic wizards who use your powers for culinary evil of the best variety. We drove an hour to get there and I will be back. But I might park in a real parking lot and take an Uber.

There is something wrong with this place. I actually have enjoyed their pizza in the past, and…read moregiven them a great review, but the last two times I was there with my husband, one of the employees demanded my husband's phone number when he and I, and then he, walked in and ordered a take-out pizza. The first time my husband asked if it was so they would text us when the pizza was ready and the guy said give us the number or we will cancel the order." The first night, they did not cancel the order, and we asked other people in line if they were asked for their phone number, and they said, "no" and looked rather confused. Tonight, he went alone, and again, they demanded his phone number, and because he declined, they canceled his order. They also threatened to call the cops if he did not give them his phone number, even though his card went through. The thing is, my husband doesn't even HAVE a phone, and we use mine, but I was using it when he went to pick up the pizza. I called and asked and they asked me if I was calling about the "guy who was just here" and I said "not in particular" and was told "neither of you are welcome here anymore, do not come here anymore." (Though technically, they have our phone number since I called them... so that's an irony.) WHY do they need a phone number for a walk-in, take-out order that is paid for, when people are already tired of being added to text and auto-bot call lists as it is, and why would we be told we cannot go to said pizza place because we do not want to give them a phone number? I mean, it's only Connecticut, so good pizza is really incredibly difficultly hard to come by, right? We are so, so sad. (I lie) P.S. The specific employee who asks for phone numbers, if you watch WWE, kind of resembles Seth Rollins, for what it's worth.

What sets it apart from its competition is its "Kitsa Pella Salad" - a unique confection of a salad presented in a baked pizza bowl, replete with fresh greens, tomatoes, and topped with feta and mozzarella, lightly drizzled in their homemade signature style dressing - and that's just for starters. The Salad comes with your topping choice of either grilled chicken ($) or steak strips ($$), and the tzatziki sauce on the bottom of the bowl. I have not seen this item offered anywhere else and it is a home run. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating; parking is in the back off of the Post Road. Highly recommended & I will return.

We had an okay experience at Jordans tonight. The service was just okay and that was shocking…read moreconsidering it was pretty empty in there on a Tuesday evening and there were three waitresses. When we needed something, we found we were often having to go up to the hostess stand to go get our waitress. When you walked in you got to seat yourself which we did like. It looks like your typical old school diner / restaurant vibe in there. Another thing we found interesting was only two tables got bread. The tables seemed to be regulars as they were greeted much differently and tended to much differently. We asked for bread and were given only three pieces and just butter when other tables were given a ton of bread with olive oil. Totally no biggie because our meal was carb heavy, but I thought that was very interesting and felt it should be consistient across all tables. We definitely could feel the differences in service! The appetizer combo plate ordered by my brother was pretty standard fried food. We liked the zucchini fries and the wings the most of everything on there. Everything else was just okay. We also ordered the caesar salad minus the red roasted peppers. I would pass on this next time and just go for their famous Greek salads, my mistake! There was way too much dressing and I did not care for the taste at all. The star of the show however was the pizza. Jordan's is known for their pizza for a reason and it is most definitely not overhyped! I really liked the sauce, the pizza was fluffy, not greasy, and just truly delicious. Overall, I would probably 1 - stick to take out only and not dine in and 2 - stick to the pizza and greek salad.
