What a great spot!! It's bigger than I expected and tons of outdoor seating as well for nice days! I went there for lunch and I had the JJ which is basically like a meat lovers pizza and it was really good. A little pricey but worth it. The pizza was amazing and the drink Sierra made me was perfect. She was very friendly and helpful and provided awesome service. I will definitely come back again to try other things on the menu.

Wish I lived closer because I enjoy this place a lot! Wine list is terrific, cocktails great, food amazing! Aside from delicious Neapolitan style pizza, their other food choices are on point. I live the creative toppings on several pies, we had the El Pastor pizza and a margarita. Each was delicious. I started with the arugula salad with shredded chicken which was abundant and satisfying as a main for myself. This is not New Haven style apizza and I am happy about that. Glad someone is doing their own thing and not succumbing to the Barstool one bite bullsh*t that every pizza place has gone in the direction of chasing points and approval from.

Magic 5 Pie Co was nothing short of five star appetizer and pizza quality! We were weary ordering as their pizza menu offerings were so unique. At first we were leaning toward building our own as the menu listed pizzas that are typically not our style, but we were so happy that we trusted the restaurant recommendations and branched out!! The pie that stood out to us most was the Elote- we particularly loved the unique lime mayo drizzle to top off the pie! The magic five pie was good but definitely only for Gorgonzola lovers. The Belgian Caesar was another stand out dish... the dressing was creamy and had great flavor. We loved the low key but also vibrant atmosphere... it was a great spot to catch up with friends!

Not my first time trying them out but it is my first time dining there. The ambiance was Halloween themed & nicely decorated. Unfortunately I can't say too much about the server because I didn't get her name & she only came to the table to take my order. I ordered the Brussels sprouts & the lil guy pizza. The Brussels sprouts smelled great & tasted great but was a bit on the extra charred side. I didn't eat all of it. The pizza was delicious! The li guy comes with pepperoni & hot oil. It didn't disappoint. I also had a mocktail called Wino spritz, not something to get if you don't like grapefruit. I would definitely go back.

Stopped in with a larger group for an early Saturday night dinner. Cool new place in the East Norwalk area. Lots of different indoor and outdoor seating options and family friendly! We had some specialty cocktails which were good and nicely presented. Service was prompt and friendly. Had a variety of pizzas for the table. The favorite was the potato pie and the cheese one. My kids gave the cheese pizza two thumbs up- they are picky so that was a plus! Clam pie had more garlic than clams so that was a miss. The Diavola was alittle too oily for our liking. Pork belly appetizer and avocado salad were great! I would say this is a slightly upscale pizza place in Norwalk which has a cool vibe and one you can bring the whole family too. As the weather gets nicer, I could see it being a place people will want to go given its vicinity to the water. The East Norwalk area is really get some new cool places to visit! Definitely worth checking out!

Great food and positive vibes are two things that come to mind when I think of Magic 5 Pie Co. This hidden gem is located in East Norwalk, Ct. The first time visiting, I tried the Veggie Pie with vegan cheese. After a very positive experience, I returned that week for a Mediterranean Pie. The garlic salt and red pepper flakes made it *chef's kiss*. Plus, the staff were so welcoming. Their mindfulness regarding me being vegan was much appreciated. Highly recommend checking this spot out over the summer!

Hidden Gem- it's tucked away outside of an apartment complex in East Norwalk with live music and a projector screen for movies and trivia. The food was delicious, but I do wish they had more choices for appetizers. Service was quick, although packed I received my plate in like 10 mins. Definitely do stop by! It's walking distance from the East Norwalk train station and there's plenty of parking in the lot or street.

My friend recommended I try this place in Norwalk. I got some drinks, a Lil Guy pie and baked scallops. The drinks were strong and I liked the truffle honey on my pizza. The staff were really friendly and let us try samples of the drinks if we wanted to try them out before ordering them. The place got packed late afternoon and they had seating outside and live music.

Love this place!! Only suggestion is to add a little honey drizzle and less arugula to the fig jam.

This year for my 35th, I was on my own for dinner this time around. That being said, I think I found a winner here to celebrate my 35th birthday. Say hello to Lazy Sister, located in the heart of South Norwalk where the restaurant scene comes alive! Because I was a single coming in, I was seated right away, no reservation needed. They were even kind enough to place my bag in the atrium so that I wouldn't have it in the way. I was seated at a table set for two, but it's a good thing I guess that I came on my own. First thing I notice upon coming in is that it is a very classy restaurant, not your typical dim sum joint. It's also not a big space, but that's fine by me. Honestly, this would make a great date night spot for anyone going out on a date. Funny enough, I was actually suggested this place by my friend the night I went to Jacob's Pickles. For reasons I am about to get to, I am glad I decided not to come here until a later date. So why would I say that? Well, because tonight, my order consisted of two Junmai Genshu "Little Sumo" sakes as well as the Salt & Pepper Calamari, a medium level Dry Fry Style Szechuan Chicken, and then the Fortune Cookie Soft Serve for dessert. Not only did I pay more here, but I also got more inebriated here than I did at Jacob's Pickles. But it's my birthday, so tonight it's not in my contract to care. You only live once, and I am already in like the middle of my life, so it all evens out, right? Speaking of the food, everything I ate was immaculate! The calamari was seasoned perfectly, vegetables were cooked and crisp, the spice from that Szechuan didn't overpower. It was more like a pleasant tingle, especially when mixed with water or sake. Everything was done just right. And that soft serve cooled me down in just the right way. Delicious and well worth finishing off the night! And while there were other drinks that definitely looked good, I couldn't say no to sake. That's like THE ultimate celebratory drink far as I'm concerned, and it was awesome! If you were wondering about the service, these people are quite friendly. They help you through anything you might need. While I waited a while to tell them, I did eventually tell my waitress it was birthday while I was on dessert. Cool enough, we are both Tauri! I love it when I get to talk to another Taurus! :) The bill was also why I am glad I waited for another occasion to come here. Because I decided to splurge, the affair was about $100 once tip was factored in. It was well worth it, and tonight's outing will definitely make for a fun story to tell. But 34 was a hard year. I deserve to let loose every now and then, and hopefully 35 will be a happier age. All in all, a great restaurant and well worth the money to come here.

The bartender was knowledgeable and I trusted him with recommendations. We ordered egg rolls and the wontons in chili oil. Everything was tasty, wish the chili oil was more spicy but the flavor was amazing. Day two I sat at a table and ordered the cherry cola, veggie lo mien, and crispy beef. My friends ordered the spring rolls, sesame chicken, and chicken and broccoli. The server accidentally put in a plain lo mien but it was quickly fixed. Both were tasty but it was better with veggies. All entrees were okay. It's your typical local American Chinese food cuisine and I didn't taste or see any difference to it? It did taste a bit more fresh but I wouldn't order again. Overall, the service was good and the ambiance is nice. I prefer this place as a restaurant for yummy drinks and apps before dinner or after work.

I'm no foodie but I am Chinese/Japanese and can appreciate finer things in life when I see it. This place meet and exceeded my expectations. The wonderful speak-easy tamaki-ya room in the back is warmly lit and held at a nice volume, much quieter than the izakaya bar in the front. For small bites we had the Beet n Hijiki salad (highly recommend!), Agedashi tofu, and Torched Maine uni. For hand-rolls I had the Spanish Mackerel, Hokkaido Scallops, Ocean Trout, BBQ Eal & Foie Gras, and Cucumber ume. My wife had the Maine Uni, Hamachi, and Botan Ebi. Everything was good, but there were quite a few that were very good, and there were two that, for me, were the best that I've ever had in recent memory. For the Spanish Mackerel Chef Taibe put an interesting spin on it by topping it off with a traditional Chinese ginger and scallion garnish used in a tender chicken dish. It works, it balances out the briny taste of Spanish Mackerel... which is great... unless you LOVE the briny, savory, mineral, metallic, umami taste of fresh Spanish Mackerel :) The Hokkaido Scallops was, by quite a large margin, the best scallop dish I've ever had. The tender sweetness of the fresh scallop combined with a brown butter kewpie (how American!) and yuzu tobiko sauce swimmingly. Texture, temperature, taste, all perfect. I like eel and I love Unaju. But by far the biggest surprise was the BBQ Eal & Foie Gras (see pic). This dish alone warrants a culinary course. On the face of it, bbq, eel, foie gras all sets you up for something rich, filling, heavy. But when I bit into the unassuming hand roll, it was the lightest bite of Japanese rice/seafood/seaweed/liver/sauce combo I've ever had. Turns out Chef Taibe prepared the sauce from scratch using five+ different spices, and prepared the foie gras au torchon. I could go on, but suffice to say, this was one of the best bites I've ever had. By contrast, I thought I was going to close out with the cucumber ume roll, but compared to the eel and foie gras, the ume actually felt more overpowering. Perhaps if they cut back on the generous amount of ume paste... (Worthy mention: Chef Taibe presents the nori in a separate envelope. This seemingly simple step is crucial to the taste and mouthfeel of the hand roll. It provides a wonderful fresh crisp crunch to every bite and it does indeed make a difference. He mentioned he sources a special nori but I forgot the details, just know that it's really good) My wife loves uni, and I'll let her describe her experience (which she won't) but it was so good she had to order a second one. As if you need more convincing, we had a great experience and I think you will too. Bravo Chef, well done

The cocktail program is seriously one of the best in the area. Creative without being gimmicky, balanced, and clearly inspired by Japanese ingredients and technique. Every drink feels thoughtful and well executed -- the kind of place where you actually want to work your way through the menu. The food is where it really shines. The chef-owner's love of Japanese cuisine comes through in every detail. The yakitori program is outstanding and deeply traditional -- using all parts of the chicken the way it's done in Japan. It's respectful, intentional, and absolutely delicious. You don't often see that level of authenticity and execution locally. The bar bites are some of the best around. The fried chicken sando is one of my personal favorites -- perfectly crispy, juicy, balanced, and craveable. And the ramen? No one can hold a candle to it. The broth is deeply flavorful and layered, the noodles are spot on, and every topping feels purposeful. It's the kind of bowl you think about the next day. Perhaps the best kept secret in all of Norwalk is the back room -- the elegant Temaki-Ya. Tucked away behind an unmarked entrance, this intimate hand-roll bar feels almost like discovering a hidden Japanese speakeasy. The atmosphere is quiet and refined, the kind of place that's perfect for a special date night or a memorable evening with friends. The temaki (hand rolls) are beautifully composed, with thoughtful ingredient combinations that balance texture, flavor, and visual appeal. What makes this place special is the dual experience -- lively izakaya vibes in the front, elegant hand-roll bar in the back -- all tied together by serious culinary skill and genuine hospitality. Norwalk is lucky to have this spot.
