Chose this for my 59th birthday dinner.. simply, great choice! Atmosphere is great combination of laid back with elegance and style. Great semi-circle booths, great service and cool music (be prepared for some all time greats from the 70's). Loved the California roll (teen son-"how do they make it taste so good?"), quality ingredients and preparation. Awesome calamari... not spicy, don't be scurred! Fresh clams on half shell, loved 'em. Then the main attraction: filet mignon w side Maine lobster tail. Not eqsy to hit medium rare perfectly and not overcook the lobster, but, they did it! Nice desert too w bananas foster cake..go, enjoy, repeat!

King Salmon tartar with truffle sauce and pumpernickel bread

During a weekend in Norwalk, my boyfriend and I stumbled across this place by chance. We had planned to celebrate our anniversary at Match, but by lunch time, were hungry for lunch and needed something that opened before 5 PM. This was the perfect spot for us. It's not too fancy where you feel bad for wearing jeans, but nice enough that it scratched the romantic itch. We visited during the holidays around lunch time; the decor was off the charts Christmas in the most wonderful way. There was a musician playing guitar and singing, but it was genuinely pleasant. I don't love live music in a restaurant, but noise was controlled enough that I could still have a conversation. Once I saw the specials menu, I knew I had picked the right place. "12 Days Of Truffle" -- yes, truffle means prices of everything skyrocket, but it's worth it to me. We ordered the King Salmon Tartar appetizer off the truffle menu, which was delicious. The salmon was super fresh and a good portion, too. We also ordered the Bone Marrow appetizer, which simply melts in your mouth. And the little pile of chicken liver that came with it was astounding. I would 100% order that again despite the price. For our meals, my boyfriend ordered a waguy steak off the truffle menu. I ordered the brunch burger (sans egg). We both loved our meals! (I will say, the burger was cooked to a medium, not a medium rare like I requested. But I'm not a stickler about that.) Of course I got a side of truffle parm french fries because, if you couldn't tell, I love truffle. Those were great, too! I don't have a single complaint about any of the food or service I received. The staff (waiters, bartenders, and front-of-house) was incredibly nice. The vibes inside were perfect. I will absolutely be going back!

Service was good.. I had the eggs Benedict. It should be a fairly easy one to prepare. Yet the first eggs were totally overcooked. Totally solidified! Once I mentioned it I was served a new set of eggs - these ones were totally undercooked. The egg whites did not properly form and solidify around the yolk - and the yolk was totally runny and the pouch was full of water. I mentioned it to the server - but I doubt that the feedback made it to the kitchen. The bill arrived and no "apology" or even a visit from "the chef"... needless to mention that me and my wife and another table of 3 were the only ones here.. Coming back ??? NO THANK YOU!!!!

Was in the area and had heard some good things so decided to check it out. We had dinner. Filet and lobster tail. Truffle mashed potatoes Cauliflower We enjoyed it very much and will def be back.

The perfect brunch spot! Great service along with nice quality food and solid drinks. What more can you ask for ? We had a very nice, cozy booth which made our experience nice and inviting. It's nice to know the restaurant carefully reads the comments section and did us a solid with the great table. The shrimp cocktail was a 10. Super fresh shrimp and they're a very nice size, served up on ice with delicious horseradish sauce... so good. I had the Chicken & Waffles and they were very good. My friend had the Breakfast Poutine, which she loved and took home a ton of leftovers! My husband enjoyed the Farmer's Toast and everyone was happy! The host that greeted us when we walked in couldn't have been more friendly and kind. Great place! I will definitely be back. And easy metered parking is available at the municipal lot across the street.

Food: Get the Blue Crab Nachos! Service: The servers were timely. Ambiance: The restaurant was well decorated and it was not too loud.

What a DELICIOUS dinner! Pretty casual steakhouse but has the BEST steaks! I ordered the halibut and the filet. My friend ordered the ribeye and lobster. WOW! The halibut was PERFECTLY cooked! The filet was so tender, I could cut it with a butter knife! I will definitely come back!

The Apple Situation

Delicious! The place felt very cool and was very crowded. I highly recommend a reservation. We went on a Saturday night and it was full. They did have some TVs with the game going but I didn't feel like a sports bar at all. Our waitress wasn't the most attentive but the busting staff was right there if you did need something. For example the wrong dessert was delivered to us and after a couple minutes a bust boy brought the correct one without us having to ask someone for help. We got the spinach + artichoke dip which came with toasted bread. This was great and the toasted bread for some reason made it different than other places. The artichoke dip had big pieces of artichoke but not big floppy pieces of spinach. We both got steaks (filet mignon and ny strip). Both came out perfectly cooked and I thought the chard outside layer added to the flavor. I highly recommend getting a sauce with a steak. I loved the peppercorn one and my partner liked the steak sauce but did not like the clarified smoked butter. We got mashed potatoes as a side which we enjoyed. They tasted like gold potatoes and made a perfect bite with a piece of steak, sauce, and potatoes! We got the apple situation and ny style cheesecake for dessert which were both lovely. Overall I think it was a little too pricey for what you got. The fact that we have a gift card will make us go back again.

Went for my dads birthday and we were all really pleased with the food! Usually from high end restaurants the portions are on the smaller side but I was impressed with the amount of gnocchi I got. My dad loved his steak and I loved that it came on a cutting board! Got a complimentary ice cream for his birthday, which was really kind

Wagyu Meatloaf

Delicious! Wagyu meatloaf was amazing. Porterhouse was perfectly cooked. But favorite of the night was their special- miso glazed eggplant. I think I inhaled it. I can't wait to go back.

Talk about last minute birthday decisions! So last year on my birthday I had a friend order…read moretakeout and we had it at their house. This year for my 35th, I was on my own for dinner this time around. That being said, I think I found a winner here to celebrate my 35th birthday. Say hello to Lazy Sister, located in the heart of South Norwalk where the restaurant scene comes alive! Because I was a single coming in, I was seated right away, no reservation needed. They were even kind enough to place my bag in the atrium so that I wouldn't have it in the way. I was seated at a table set for two, but it's a good thing I guess that I came on my own. First thing I notice upon coming in is that it is a very classy restaurant, not your typical dim sum joint. It's also not a big space, but that's fine by me. Honestly, this would make a great date night spot for anyone going out on a date. Funny enough, I was actually suggested this place by my friend the night I went to Jacob's Pickles. For reasons I am about to get to, I am glad I decided not to come here until a later date. So why would I say that? Well, because tonight, my order consisted of two Junmai Genshu "Little Sumo" sakes as well as the Salt & Pepper Calamari, a medium level Dry Fry Style Szechuan Chicken, and then the Fortune Cookie Soft Serve for dessert. Not only did I pay more here, but I also got more inebriated here than I did at Jacob's Pickles. But it's my birthday, so tonight it's not in my contract to care. You only live once, and I am already in like the middle of my life, so it all evens out, right? Speaking of the food, everything I ate was immaculate! The calamari was seasoned perfectly, vegetables were cooked and crisp, the spice from that Szechuan didn't overpower. It was more like a pleasant tingle, especially when mixed with water or sake. Everything was done just right. And that soft serve cooled me down in just the right way. Delicious and well worth finishing off the night! And while there were other drinks that definitely looked good, I couldn't say no to sake. That's like THE ultimate celebratory drink far as I'm concerned, and it was awesome! If you were wondering about the service, these people are quite friendly. They help you through anything you might need. While I waited a while to tell them, I did eventually tell my waitress it was birthday while I was on dessert. Cool enough, we are both Tauri! I love it when I get to talk to another Taurus! :) The bill was also why I am glad I waited for another occasion to come here. Because I decided to splurge, the affair was about $100 once tip was factored in. It was well worth it, and tonight's outing will definitely make for a fun story to tell. But 34 was a hard year. I deserve to let loose every now and then, and hopefully 35 will be a happier age. All in all, a great restaurant and well worth the money to come here.

We started off with the chili oil dumplings which were super flavorful! For entrees we got the Mongolian beef and the shrimp fried rice. Fried rice was my favorite -- didn't need any soy sauce or duck sauce bc it had enough flavor on its own. For drinks I got the lychee drink which was on the sweeter side for my personal taste. Overall, loved my experience and can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.
