First time at Milestone, and we really enjoyed the food, drink and atmosphere. We had a group of nine, and everything was handled well. Wait service was prompt and the food was well-paced. We ordered a mix of individual entrées and shared dishes. You can tell when a restaurant is well run and organized, and this is one of those. At our end of the table, we enjoyed the Greek salad, cheese pizza, and salmon. Several people took advantage of the Taco Tuesday drink specials. Overall, decent experience, might come back. The ambience is very cool and definitely a romantic environment. It is a little dark and difficult to read the menu, but very pretty inside. The food is average. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. The menu is pretty limited, but they should have something for everyone. The prices are on the higher side for sure. This, however, is normal for the area, so I don't want to knock them too hard for that. The service is where it gets tricky. The people themselves were extremely kind, but the service was very very slow. It was also almost impossible to get a hold of a waiter or waitress. This was especially frustrating considering we were some of the only people in the restaurant that night. The milestone burger has to be the most flavorful burger I've had in awhile! There's a good reason why it was nominated for best burger in CT this year! The Milestone is an interesting spot. The ambiance is warm and romantic, although be prepared to eat in a dark room with little light to even see your menu and the music is overwhelmingly loud. The service was subpar to say the least. Our waiter abandoned us to chat with patrons at the bar. While he did that, another waitress came over and could barely hold our food in her hands. The bread she served us was leaning on her bare arm and she was confused about how to put down our food without spilling it. In addition, the meatballs were mediocre and the pizza is soggy. Had the best time here! I was able to catch one of the bands they had on a Saturday and they were such a blast. I sat at the bar so I could dance a bit any my bartender was phenomenal. I had this placed bookmarked for some time and I am glad I finally came for lunch. The restaurant has several areas set up for dining, 2-outside areas, bar area and a large dining area inside the restaurant. For my lunch I had the meatball parmigiana sandwich which was a perfect portion size, served with pickled veggies. My girlfriend had the Margherita pizza which was delicious. Shishito peppers at times are too salty; the Caesar salad could use a little more oomph in the dressing, though the anchovies and charred croutons add interest. Naked burger during a most recent visit was cooked medium rather than rare as ordered, and appeared to have been created from two thin patties stuck together rather than one thick patty. Burgers served tonight (5/31/23) were noticeably off in taste and smell; sent them back. Chef or servers ought to have noticed the bad meat before cooking and serving it to customers. My partner was with a large men's group from a church, the rest of the group's food was okay, but no one else ordered the burgers. Wings were decent. Although the server was notified that the meat smelled and tasted off, no apologies were made, and the restaurant made no attempt to rectify the two orders that were sent back. These folks mix a good cocktail and sling great pizzas. We had a chicken special that came with mashed potatoes that were stellar.

My children made reservations at this restaurant for Mother's Day back in April. Milestone staff could not find our reservation when my daughter called the night prior to confirm but because she was able to give her info, they accepted our reservation. When we arrived, we were disappointed to find our table setting outside, in the sun, with no covering on a bench in an area used for waiting. We had two small children (which we noted on the reservation). When we asked if there was any way we could be seated inside, the manager (Red long hair, I don't remember her name) said they were booked. When we looked around inside there was a generous number of tables available. When we bought this to the manager's attention, she asked us if being outside was" really a bother" because it would take a lot out of her to put together tables to accommodate us (There were 8 of us including the two little ones). She instructed the waiter to hold the order we had placed, until she was able to "do some magic". Once we were moved inside, we realized there were even more tables available. After about 15 minutes, we were then informed our order was somehow "lost" and would take a while before the food came out. This was unacceptable at this point. Because my children wanted to bring me to dinner at this restaurant, and we questioned whether another restaurant could take a party our size as a walk in, I chose to stay. The manager stated she would comp us some bread for the tables while we waited, but that already comes with the service. Not until we requested two fruit bowls for my grandsons, because at this point, they were cranky and hungry, did she actually give us anything. The food, once it was served, was good. No comp on a meal or even drinks. We left there feeling the $500+ bill was a waste, but not as much as our time. I will not be returning here, and I will be going back to the friends I recommended to Milestone and let them know that they should not go here. To feel like an inconvenience on Mother's Day, was truly the biggest slap in the face a mother can feel. read more

Had a great time at their Octoberfest afternoon this past Sunday. There was a great fire outside near the corn hole games. 2 very nice bartenders who kept two German kegs flowing and a live band made for a great environment to relax for a while before heading in for a nice German meal. But not before we got the delicious pretzel. It was heavenly. We went inside and got a table and warmed up a bit. Their normal menu looked good so we order some very delicious wings. They had some heat with a slight asian(?) flavor. The German food was very well done. I had spatzel and red cabbage with a side of wiener schnitzel. Buddy had the braces with the same sides. The restaurant was SO proactive in maintaining a clean atmosphere with all the hype of the Corona virus. I think there are a few misses (kale salad isn't great + is too heavily dressed - repeatedly which is a bummer Bc it's generally my fav) but overall a great addition to Redding.
