Such a cozy little spot! This place was recommended to us by a friend local to the area. The atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, like you could sit there for hours. You're greeted to the warmth of one of two fireplaces in the restaurant. You can sit inside or enjoy one of the attached sun porches, which makes it perfect to revisit in the summer when the weather warms up. Staff was friendly, quick and attentive. Food was delicious with great portions. They offer Sunday brunch, however you have the option to order from their standard menu. My party ordered the eggs Benedict, the tuna bowl, and the California chicken wrap. Key things of note: The amount of parking available for the restaurant. Aside from its own lot to the side, there is an additional lot right in front with parking dedicated to the restaurant and gym next door. The restaurant is conveniently located right off the exit from i95, making it easy to find and a reliable place to stop and eat without going too out of the way. I definitely plan to revisit The Gray Goose in the future! read more

I'd come back over and over again for the roasted oysters. It was absolutely divine and well made. It has the right amount of fixings on the oysters where it didn't overwhelm. I also had one of the bowls which was mediocre at best. The Poke was a bit bland and there were too many random toppings. I don't think the coconut rice complemented it well. I was seated pretty quickly as the party of one. The bar was totally full. Service was OK as well. Not the best but not bad. I can't wait to come back with the oysters if I'm in town again. read more

What a find! We had an absolutely wonderful meal at The Gray Goose. I started with half dozen of the oysters done in the roasted Parmesan and butter style. Truly a magical dish I could have order two dozen and eaten them all. Philippe our waiter was excellent and was the one who pushed me towards the roast style on the oysters. The wife and I got two different types of tacos both delicious. My daughter had a burger which was also very good. The true winner of the meal however was the desserts and coffee. We ordered three desserts because we couldn't make up our minds. Sticky toffee pudding, lemon and raspberry cake, and the house made cinnamon and sugar doughnuts with Carmel gelato. All three were out of this world. No joke, if forced I couldn't pick which one I wanted again most. Along with a beautiful atmosphere and a rocking musical playlist made for a wonderful meal. My boyfriend and I came on a busy weekend where all the tables had reservations, so we ate at the bar. We ordered the spicy shrimp and calamari appetizer and it was amazing ! We loved that. I got a tuna poké bowl which was also delicious. My bf got a wrap which he devoured. We had a few simple drinks each (bar service was slow and inattentive.. only one bar tender, but she could've been more attentive- we were on the side of the bar). I stopped by Gray Goose for the first time in years, as I'm rarely up this way, but I might need to make the effort to get up here more often. The atmosphere is so cozy, with fireplace and all. I'm not sure if they still light the fireplace, as it's currently too early in the season, but it gives me warm fuzzies anyway. Today, I opted for a half dozen raw bluepoint oysters with the accroutrements. They were amazing!! I had given up a bit on ordering raw bar oysters at restaurants because I had started to find them generally underwhelming. But these were showstoppers! Plump, tender, and mild with a smooth finish. I love The Gray Goose! My family and I went on my birthday once and for Mother's Day most recently. The food is always exceptional and tasty. The service was just okay this time as our waitress kept forgetting things, brought the food out at different times, and accidentally charged us 2 drinks the people next to us got. It was really busy, so it was likely just due to that. The service was much better the first time I went, but I'd go back for the great food! None of us had complaints about the food. What a wonderful little hole in the wall, we found it on a snowy Sunday, it is a small cozy place. Bar is small about a handful of chairs and has a fireplace along with atrium seating. The Average burger was ok, more tomato, lettuce and onion than burger, making it look bigger than it actually was. The salad was pretty awful actually. Wilted with that stale refrigerator taste. We went to Gray Goose last night for the first time and we can't wait to go back. Our dinners and drinks were delicious. I had the Epic margarita which was really fresh and spicy with jalapeños. You have to try it if you like spicy margaritas. My husband's wine was great too. The menu is expansive with something for everyone. I had a hard time making a choice and eventually decided on the king salmon with the dragon sauce. It was absolutely delicious. My husband also enjoyed his classic burger with American cheese. Service was on point even though the restaurant was busy. Ambiance was cozy on a chilly fall evening. The restaurant doesn't take reservations so come early and bring your appetite. Second time here and second thumbs up from me. Really love the space, both inside and out. The service was great and the food was really good. My mother-in-law raved about the lobster roll and said there were delicious, big chucks of lobster. Both apps were very good, and my wife really enjoyed her bang bang shrimp. The filet was cooked inconsistently; some spots were medium rare, and some were medium well. Didn't love that, but the flavor was good and the peppercorn sauce was excellent. Very attentive, friendly staff; we never felt rushed, nor did we ever feel "hovered" over. (A few even put up with my TERRIBLE Spanish lol!). We had simple food. My friend had shrimp tacos (which she loved); I had a wedge salad and vegetable spring rolls (crisp and hot - yum!). We shared a dessert - which I never have - and it was delicious! If they offer it on the menu when you go, don't hesitate: doughnuts (2, homemade and warm) with coffee ice cream, hot fudge sauce and whipped cream on the side. Oh, my. Came here for the first time with my father, who had hopped the ferry from Long Island for an impromptu visit. We were looking for "something in the middle" which for us means: nourishing food that's not super fancy but not just a half step up from fast casual chains, not suits and cockatil dresses but not jeans and flipflops. I had to run an errand in Southport and we decided to walk around a bit and stumbled upon The Gray Goose. We loved the name and it definitely hit all the marks for our definition of "something in the middle." Please don't take "something in the middle" as a negative, we were both very satisfied and impressed. It's a really fun, rustic, and inviting place with great food, wine, cocktails and service. This unpretentious but absolutely lovely experience is something we will recreate many times. We both thorougly enjoyed our seafood and pasta dishes and Caesar salads. Plenty of seating ~ 4:30. Several of the staff were just standing by the doorway, we had to ask for a table. The waitress took our order right way. The calamari came out pretty quickly..little too salty. We ordered the steak frites entree (medium rare) and a lobster roll. The entrees took a really long time..25 min. The steak was medium WELL. The lobster was lacking taste. I would imagine it's not something they typical serve so it prob wasn't fresh. We never saw the waitress again. We barely touched the meals. Had to ask a busboy for the bill. Our plates were still full; not once did they think to ask if we wanted any of it to go (altho we didn't!). Reluctantly paid the bill with just 15% tip--more than she deserved. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

This was our second time here but I doubt if I will return. I ordered the crispy shrimp Buddha Bowl. When the waitress brought it, I said Where's the shrimp? It had no shrimp! The food is delicious & when your server's name is MaDonna - you know you're in for a treat. There is no denying the food at The Gray Goose is good! Sunday Brunch at The Goose is something I now look forward to. The menu is updated and they have a new chef so this review is under the menu of the new chef. The Lobster Benedict was prepared perfectly and they did not skimp on the lobster. Right now I'm head over heels for their chocolate molten lava cake and homemade donuts. Hands down you must add to your must try list. Last night for dinner I ordered the Salmon Dragon Bowl with the dragon sauce on the side. I would describe the dragon sauce as being more of a tangy sweet & sour sauce - which is served piping hot - but delicious. I would have preferred crispy seaweed with this dish, rather than crispy kale to compliment the coconut rice and spinach. Overall I would say the dragon bowl is a true winner. Presentation, ambiance, excellent service is all there. I cannot complain I'm a happy camper. #HatApproved! read more

I love this place and I'm surprised the rating isn't higher! Been 5/6 times for lunch over the past few years. The most recent times I have gone with the Buddha bowls- fresh and delicious. Plus I don't feel too guilty about them. The coconut rice is really yummy. The salads are beautiful and delicious. Love the front patio and the heaters on a chilly yet sunny fall day. The effort to lower food costs is a bit extreme in some cases. The $18 Tuna Tartare is 80% red grapes mixed with Tuna. Not a fan at all of what you're trying to do here. Charge more, get rid of the grapes. Everyone will be happier read more

Meet some local friends for lunch this week. First time in 2 years and what a mistake to have not come more often. Dinner here often quite crowded and noisy. Lunch was an exceptional experience. Not very busy. Good table spacing. The food was excellent as was the service. Our table had calamari to share as as starter (loved the sauces) their burger (perfectly done medium rare) , salad, soup and sandwich and grilled ahi tuna steak sandwich (off the charts good!). Each prepared as we requested. Waiter was attentive but not intrusive. We sat on the outdoor patio. I thought the prices were in line with peers but because of the ambiance and service the whole package was a pleasant bargain. We will be back again-- and again. read more
