Good hotdogs to go with the beer. Prices as expected for the area. Service was very good, although they oddly said they recommend people bring their own dog bowls. This is one of my favorite breweries. I've been here a few times and I'm always impressed by their beer and food options. They have a lot of events here; check their calendar before you head here. I've been here when there have been birthday parties, dog adoption events, pasta trucks, and Greek food trucks. The inside area is very spacious; you can also watch the brewing process while you're inside. There is plenty of seating inside and out. I've been here when there have been large gatherings here, and there was still plenty of seating available. I love their outdoor seating area too. Dogs are welcome inside and out. I always see a lot of dogs here. I can't wait to stop back soon. read more

Spacecat Brewing Company is a craft brewery that opened in Norwalk, Connecticut in October 2021. It was founded by business partners James Bloom and Jeff Dunn. The two previously worked together at Remedy Partners: a Norwalk-based healthcare tech company. After a number of years, they both grew tired of working in an office setting. Dunn had experimented with homebrewing for a number of years, so he and Bloom gravitated toward the idea of opening a brewery. After some time searching for a location, the partners found their 4,800-square-foot home inside the old J. & J. textiles mill building. To handle the brewery operations, Bloom and Dunn hired Roger Krackow: an army veteran who spent eight years as a head brewer for Stratford-based Two Roads Brewing Company. My family and I recently visited Spacecat while we were in Norwalk for the day. The taproom was pretty large and I absolutely loved the industrial design theme with all of the Edison lightbulbs. I was really hoping to run into Roger Krackow because I worked as a barback at Two Roads several years ago when he was one of the brewers there, but sadly he wasn't there at the time of my visit. After grabbing a table, I ordered a taster flight that consisted of "Cosmic Candy: Orange, Peach, and Mango" (Fruited Gose), "Hefe" (Hefeweizen), "Orion" (New England IPA), and "Lion's Heart" (Double New England IPA). I really enjoyed every beer that I sampled! I didn't have the highest of hopes because Norwalk has had a string of disappointing breweries come and go within the last decade. I should have had more faith in Mr. Krackow, who has continued to brew great beers since his tenure at Two Roads. I look forward to returning! read more

Connecticut has many breweries, many of which are built in an old factory, have an outdoor space furnished in "industrial chic" that's family- and dog-friendly and with a parking spot for food trucks. Spacecat is no exception. I have old man tastes, so I ordered the rye red IPA. Loved it. I've had flights here before and loved them all. They do some good sours, too. read more

We love coming here. There's plenty of seating both inside and outside. The vibes are great, an old but modern factory building. There's lots of options of beer, and they also have cocktails. There's almost always a food truck, I've never been there when there wasn't one. The beer tenders and managers are friendly and they pour beers very quick! Your never waiting long for a beer. Little parking lot but there's also street parking. Tree cat is a west coast IPA that is really incredible, but I recommend all their beers! read more

Stopped here on a Saturday around 12:30, not long after they opened, so we could make sure to get a table outside. It was a beautiful fall day but there were plenty of picnic tables available at that time. Within an hour it got full outside, but there was still an open large area inside if you go later. Really friendly staff inside at the bar, we all got flights and I've been to breweries that seem frustrated when they have to make multiple flights, that was not our experience here. They have a lot of rotating beers on the menu- we tried the harvest moon and pumpkin, and a few of the IPAs or sours. I also loved how easy it was to find information on their website. They don't serve food so we brought sandwiches, but while we were there a few food trucks did pull up so other people had food options. I do just recommend more signage outside! As a first time customer it was a little difficult to find the entrance and we parked at a side lot then walked to find the main lot/entrance. Will definitely be back! read more

Food truck outside was pretty good too. The bar ordering system could be improved-you wait in line to place an order and pay, then receive a ticket to wait in line again at the other end of the bar to pick up your beer. This place is super legit. A lot of dumb good beer and the fact they have a full bar is perfect for those that can't drink beer. The ambience here is absolutely amazing. I could not get over the aesthetic that they had presented to us with an amazing post modern take on your traditional brewery. With a significant number of board games and other drinking games, you are sure to enjoy yourself while you are here. They have a wonderful selection of snack items, as well as a superb lineup of food vendors that serve from their food trucks.
