The food and service was excellent! We shared a couple of pitchers of margaritas and I had the shrimp and falafel tacos which were delicious! The chips and guacamole were also so good! I have been to bar taco many times and love it.

This is a perfect location for relaxed dining and a great vibe plus view! The staff is very accommodating and super friendly! Let's start with the guacamole and "chips"! This is a must, just get it, you won't be disappointed. The tacos.... Good. The fried fish taco -- slapped! You are next to the water and the location is beautiful on any day, especially in the evening!

This place has the absolute BEST tacos! The pork belly and mushroom tacos are melt in your mouth delicious . Better than Chefs Kiss! I'm obsessed! My mouth waters just thinking about them! Their margaritas are so good too! This place is right on the water with great inside and outside seating. You order from your phone with a QR code but they still come to your table and bring you water and make sure you are alright which I really like. You can also ask for a paper menu. You can pay through the app on your phone or with the server as well. This place will always be my favorite!

When your GPs takes you here and says "arrived" and you are puzzled and confused because you cannot see the restaurant, just park and walk behind the brick buildings towards the water. I arrived on a beautiful late Saturday afternoon and was informed there was a 30 min wait for a table (make a reservation ahead) but I was easily able to get a seat at the bar. The bartender does ask for a card (and ID), but there was no extra service charge that I noticed on my final bill. That is how it should be. I ordered a margarita and love that the lime juice is squeezed right then and there; it was a superb and fresh tasting margarita! I was given a slip of paper to check off menu items to order, which I thought was brilliant. I ordered the street corn off the cob ( note that website menu differs from actual menu) and it came straight away. It was fine, but not sure I would get again. A while later the sesame ribeye and roasted duck tacos arrived. Both were moist and full of flavor, and the roasted duck just blew me away. I would come here again just for this. The tacos looked to be small, but were filled with lots of meat and I was more than satisfied. There were 3 bottled sauces that I did try but did not use on my taco, yet I do appreciate they are avaible and all are really good. Decor is nice and outside dining area seems very lovely with views of the Saugatuck river and bridge. The staff was bustling and hard working, but noticed none smiled or joked with each other or customers. They sure worked non stop. However, they were all professional and courteous. The restrooms and the establishment were clean and all seemed to run smoothly, which is impressive with the amount of continuous traffic. I will return and do recommend.

The atmosphere was live and upbeat. Food was good, especially the Korean bbq beef bowl and churros. The service was also really good, with Alexander and Taylor helping us. They were both very kind, and made sure that the food came out fast.

Thank you to Bar Taco, once again, for providing an exceptional experience! My husband so very much enjoyed his birthday lunch today. It was an experience. Fresh and delicious, flavorful food...mixed with great cocktails and attentive service. The view and breeze - unbeatable. To Billy, our server, thank you for the time and thoughtful birthday touches, it made for a perfect afternoon for our family!

Cute Tex Mex place in Westport. Stopped in for a quick bite at the bar. Loved the freshly squeezed juice they make their cocktails with. Service was friendly and prompt. I tried the Duck and Shrimp tacos. Both were delicious! The hot sauces were a nice addition to spice things up a bit.

INCREDIBLE place with such a great ambiance! The food was incredible and so fresh. I loved that there was a wide variety of tacos. The drinks were great and everyone working was extremely wonderful. Someone recommended this place and I cannot wait to go back! It looks like it would be awesome during summertime with the outdoor ambiance.

Popular menu items include birria tacos, octopus, shrimp ceviche, and steak chimichurri. My daughter and I visited here for her birthday, and we both love Latin cuisine. As we walked in, we were greeted warmly and shown to our seats immediately. It was a chilly day, and the restaurant felt cold inside as well. The staff tried to warm things up with space heaters, but they didn't quite do the trick. We ordered empanadas, birria tacos, hanger steak, and sweet plantains with crema and queso fresco. When the dishes arrived, they were lukewarm--a bit disappointing, considering how cold it was outside. The birria tacos were delicious, though again, they could have been hotter. The meat was tender and well-seasoned, but I would have liked it a bit crisper. The hanger steak was tender, and the Pico de Gallo was bursting with flavor, pairing perfectly with the steak. It was nicely seasoned and had a good-sized portion. The empanadas were tasty, with flavorful and plentiful meat. The plantains were extremely delicious. The crema and queso fresco helped bring the whole dish together beautifully. The customer service was friendly, but the food could have been hotter; still, the flavors and seasonings were spot-on.

Highly recommend each of these: Bodegarita - Cazadores, luxardo triplum, lime juice, agave...this is their classic marg. Nice balance, well mixed. Bodega Original Guacamole...fantastic. Basic in a good way. Very avocado forward. Not over-salted. The chips were fresh and not salty..again in a really good way. I did ask for a few lime wedges to add a little juice, but the guac was excellent. Pork Carnitas - Crispy potatoes, onion, serrano-avocado crema, cilantro...very good. Americano - Seasoned ground beef, manchego cheese, salsa de russa, crispy taco...kinda unique. A little like a big mac meets a taco. Unexpected but very glad I tired. Gambas - Seared ancho chili shrimp, cucumber-mango salsa, chipotle mayo...my favorite one. 5-start taco. Chicken Tinga - Tomato braised chicken, cotija cheese, mexican crema...excellent as well. Service was very good. Attentive, prompt and gave good/accurate recommendations. Didn't laugh at all my jokes. That's ok- few do. Set back from the Post Road, I must have driven passed here a million times. Unassuming storefront. Cozy spot. 5 table tops and 5-ish tables. A nice bar w/ excellent tequila options. The decor matches the food and experience if that makes sense. No brainer 5 stars from me. I'll be back and I'll certainly recommend.

Road trip to Boston…read more.. Needless to say it was a Friday afternoon and traffic was a pain from the start. A quick little yelp search and we had an instant detour for some sustenances, while we let the other motorist continue on their way. Bodega, located in a small little shopping strip, is also small and quaint. Not much wiggle room so be prepared to be neighborly. We arrived half past 4, just in time for HH @ the bar. So we grabbed some seats at the end of the bar where Alex the bartender took care of us. We started with Passionritas (passion fruit margs) and guacamole. Both were equally delish and the guac is bowl licking worthy. However, I do not recommend since you are dinning in public. Lol. In addition we ordered the bodega blistered brussels sprouts and baja tacos to share. The sprouts were an absolute stand out. I opted for the Mexico City Ceasar Salad with Salmon. Presented slightly deconstructed, which didn't take anything away from the great taste. We had an absolute great experience from Alex our bartender whom was very impressionable to Diego (possible manager) whom also made a nice impression. We tried a few more margs before our departure. With the hibiscus being one of my faves. A wonderful spontaneous detour, that will now be a welcomed stop on future road strips north. Just A Note: - HH @ the Bar only (Tues-Fri 4-6pm) - You can take Bodegaritas to-go they have them bottled for sale.
