Came here on a busy Friday night. The capacity is very small so we waited a short while for a seat at the bar. Our bartender Angelina was amazing, we were fortunate to have her serve us drinks; I wanted to continue to have spicy margaritas but was tired of ordering the same drink, so she made a special flavored one for me that was not on the menu. We had freshly made spicy guac and chips. It came with a super spicy salsa. I highly recommend trying this. Our food came out quick. I tried the carnita, hanger steak Argentina, and the jerk chicken Yah Mon. Everything was delicious and flavorful. My only complaint was the jerk chicken didn't taste like jerk chicken and was a bit sweet. I still ate it all up though. I'd definitely come back again.

Only got drinks at the bar. But wow. Astrid took such good care of us. Some of the most beautiful drinks crafted with care. She took recommendations very seriously and helped me find a drink that suited my palate. Coming back thanks to Astrid.

Such a fun taco Tuesday at Bodega!!! Loved the ya mon taco and definitely will be returning to try it in a bowl! Small restaurant but ample parking. Great food and friendly staff all around!!

Took a detour into Fairfield to grab some dinner and wound up here. It's a fairly small restaurant with a very lively atmosphere! I could definitely see this as place you'd come to for drinks and light bites with friends. I ordered 3 tacos. I was warned that they were small but was still shocked by how small when they arrived! The Baja fish taco kind of tasted and looked like a fish stick. The tuna was nicely cooked. The Argentino (steak) was my favorite.

Can't say enough. This place is just delicious. I don't know why I don't have more pictures other than what I included, but I'd return here any time.

Small inside but always great. Yummy tacos, nachos and sides. Service is great, highly recommend a reservation to ensure you can get a seat. Bar takes up most of the restaurant, can not go wrong here so plan for cinco de Mayo accordingly!

Amazing lunch at Bodega Taco Bar Fairfield in Fairfield today. A la carte taco selections: seared tuna, pulled pork, chicken and mahi mahi (left to right). All were so delicious and fresh. Each offered their own unique flavors. Specials selection: Pollo Asado Street Tacos. These were spot on. Hot, flavorful, moist and cheesy. That charred poblano dip takes it to the next level. Everything I had was outstanding. The menu has a variety a different options, I wanted to try everything. The atmosphere is super chill, great hangout spot. The service was excellent. Was greeted coming in, sat down and was addressed by the staff immediately. The server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food came out hot and in a timely manner. Loved this place, from the food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back... so much more on that menu to try

I dined at Bodega this past Saturday night while visiting friends in Fairfield. They had never been to Bodega and wanted to try. The restaurant is fairly small and does not take reservations. They had high top tables for two lining the one wall and regular tables that could be made to accommodate groups of 2/4/6 depending what was open when you first walk in. There are also several bar stools. We had no wait at 7:30 pm getting a table for 4. We started off ordering drinks and an order of double guac w/ chips. The first round of drinks took a really long time to come out however the server made sure to keep refilling our water vases as soon as they were empty. The double guac was the perfect size for 4 and was very tasty. The server also replenished our chips without asking when they got low. For mains, my boyfriend and I each ordered a few different tacos and the street corn elote from the app section. The elote was delicious! The tacos are on the smaller side, so I had no problem eating 3. Of the 3 I ordered, the gambas was the most bland and too mayo-ey. I really liked enjoyed the Ya Mon and Baja tacos. My friends had a taco salad with chicken and a tuna poke bowl w/ a taco on the side. We all liked our food and the portions were a good size. The only thing that was annoying was that they didn't plate the tacos based on our orders - they grouped a bunch of them together even though they weren't all for the same person so we had to figure out what was what. Other than that complaint, we had a great time! I was a very big fan of the coconut mojito drink special they had that night, too!

But because it was so cold today, we picked one close to the train station for our lunch for three, and it turned out to be a great choice after our meal at Ryebird. Their website describes Ryebird as "A Neighborhood joint where friends and family meet" and that seems pretty much spot-on. The bar is gorgeous, the dining room is beautifully decorated with red painted walls, dark distressed wood tables, and stainless-steel colored chairs. The service was great, I mean outstanding. Our server Leo was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had a few conversations with Manager Thomas who was very charming and a real joy to talk with. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! OK, here we go! Our party of three went with a small Chicken Soup for The Soul with Cheesy Bread ($14) for me. What's Cheesy Bread? Well, how about three toasted pieces of gooey pizza bread topped with a feta spread and olive oil. My brother-in-law went with their Daily Pot Pie ($23 for Chicken today), with a house-made buttery crust, scratch-made filling, and an added $4 up-charge for a gravy boat full of mushroom bourbon gravy. My wife went with a Roaster sandwich ($18) of pulled chicken, cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onion, on a baguette served with fries. We also had an order of Lemon Chili Zucchini ($9) for the table. The food was wonderful, as both the pot pie and the sandwich were devoured. My soup was a pretty big bowl for a "Small" but was loaded with more carrots and celery than chicken. I asked our server Leo if they had any hot sauce, and he asked me how hot did I want it? Ryebird has a few different types in increasing levels of hotness. I asked for the max, and he brought out a little ramekin of some of the hottest hot sauce I ever had. It was pretty much at my upper level of tolerance. I chatted about it with the restaurant manager on the way out, and he was pretty sure it was made with Ghost Peppers, so that explained my thermonuclear mouth numbing reaction. Anyway, we loved our visit to Ryebird. Their food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, the quality is high, and the service is exceptional. What more do you want in a Fairfield County lunch?

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience. Nice vibes, music pumping, drinks flowing...Chris our server was PHENOMENAL! She was a huge part of our magical experience. I started off with the buffalo cauliflower. I will preface this by saying I'm not a big Buffalo flavor person, but I'm a vegetarian and didn't feel like getting my usual vegetarian app - brussel sprouts. I wanted to expand my palate that evening and surprisingly I actually really liked it. The amount of blue cheese was perfect for me (despite the reviews) as it would have made it too salty and greasy. Next was my entree: Modified Kettle Cooked Zoodles. As a vegetarian, I never have the highest expectations but I was blown away! Chris our server was so sweet to have this customized for me. We took the idea of hubby's Branzino sauce and added more veggies to the Kettle cooked Zoodle dish. It was so yummy! Hubby's Branzino: fish was well cooked, elegant flavors from the Puttanesca sauce with spinach and mashed potatoes were excellent! Faux-ito: I got two, the first was the classic, the second was a mix of strawberry and pineapple. Both delicious mocktails! The Forbidden Pear: hubby got this one. very balanced, not sticky sweet. Had a drink, still being quite ignored and decided to get a table. Was sat down, and handed two menus and one that stated "lunch" on it, were very confused what was going on, and why, but was a long day and just caught up with my wife. Ordered some apps that came out in 10 seconds, the salad was delicious and the meatballs were cold. Was followed up with ordering just some shareable side plates, and again came out almost instantly. Asked for a fresh glass with another glass of wine, and got a wet glass that smelt like wine, when I went in to ask for a fresh glass, over heard the young gentleman man saying, what I rinsed it. You're at a fairly nice restaurant that has a great deal of glasses, don't know why it was an issue to request a fresh glass. Sat outside where it was a bit quieter, and nice and warm. Towards the end, asked the waitress why we were handed a lunch menu, and she then explained as our meal was over, specials were on the other side. Guess was on us for not thinking to flip a menu that was handed to us with lunch specials on it. Finished the meal, got the check and saw my wife's drink from the bar, which was paid for at the bar, was now on the table bill as well. Was too exhausted to even question it and paid and left. Went home and from multiple good experiences here questioned if we would come back. Love this spot for summer outside, but this was just an overall bad experience with the waitress we had, if we return hope to not have her!
