Margarita negra (not on menu)

Drinks are great, overall the taco selection is top notch-- we tried every single one. Veggie taco was not good, mushrooms were undercooked and too thick resulting in a rubbery texture; meanwhile the shrimp was overcooked and also rubbery. Generally a good staple for when you're craving some tacos and guac.

Came here on a busy Friday night. The capacity is very small so we waited a short while for a seat at the bar. Our bartender Angelina was amazing, we were fortunate to have her serve us drinks; I wanted to continue to have spicy margaritas but was tired of ordering the same drink, so she made a special flavored one for me that was not on the menu. We had freshly made spicy guac and chips. It came with a super spicy salsa. I highly recommend trying this. Our food came out quick. I tried the carnita, hanger steak Argentina, and the jerk chicken Yah Mon. Everything was delicious and flavorful. My only complaint was the jerk chicken didn't taste like jerk chicken and was a bit sweet. I still ate it all up though. I'd definitely come back again.

Only got drinks at the bar. But wow. Astrid took such good care of us. Some of the most beautiful drinks crafted with care. She took recommendations very seriously and helped me find a drink that suited my palate. Coming back thanks to Astrid.

Took a detour into Fairfield to grab some dinner and wound up here. It's a fairly small restaurant with a very lively atmosphere! I could definitely see this as place you'd come to for drinks and light bites with friends. I ordered 3 tacos. I was warned that they were small but was still shocked by how small when they arrived! The Baja fish taco kind of tasted and looked like a fish stick. The tuna was nicely cooked. The Argentino (steak) was my favorite.

Can't say enough. This place is just delicious. I don't know why I don't have more pictures other than what I included, but I'd return here any time.

Small inside but always great. Yummy tacos, nachos and sides. Service is great, highly recommend a reservation to ensure you can get a seat. Bar takes up most of the restaurant, can not go wrong here so plan for cinco de Mayo accordingly!

Amazing lunch at Bodega Taco Bar Fairfield in Fairfield today. A la carte taco selections: seared tuna, pulled pork, chicken and mahi mahi (left to right). All were so delicious and fresh. Each offered their own unique flavors. Specials selection: Pollo Asado Street Tacos. These were spot on. Hot, flavorful, moist and cheesy. That charred poblano dip takes it to the next level. Everything I had was outstanding. The menu has a variety a different options, I wanted to try everything. The atmosphere is super chill, great hangout spot. The service was excellent. Was greeted coming in, sat down and was addressed by the staff immediately. The server was friendly, helpful and attentive. The food came out hot and in a timely manner. Loved this place, from the food, service and atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back... so much more on that menu to try

I dined at Bodega this past Saturday night while visiting friends in Fairfield. They had never been to Bodega and wanted to try. The restaurant is fairly small and does not take reservations. They had high top tables for two lining the one wall and regular tables that could be made to accommodate groups of 2/4/6 depending what was open when you first walk in. There are also several bar stools. We had no wait at 7:30 pm getting a table for 4. We started off ordering drinks and an order of double guac w/ chips. The first round of drinks took a really long time to come out however the server made sure to keep refilling our water vases as soon as they were empty. The double guac was the perfect size for 4 and was very tasty. The server also replenished our chips without asking when they got low. For mains, my boyfriend and I each ordered a few different tacos and the street corn elote from the app section. The elote was delicious! The tacos are on the smaller side, so I had no problem eating 3. Of the 3 I ordered, the gambas was the most bland and too mayo-ey. I really liked enjoyed the Ya Mon and Baja tacos. My friends had a taco salad with chicken and a tuna poke bowl w/ a taco on the side. We all liked our food and the portions were a good size. The only thing that was annoying was that they didn't plate the tacos based on our orders - they grouped a bunch of them together even though they weren't all for the same person so we had to figure out what was what. Other than that complaint, we had a great time! I was a very big fan of the coconut mojito drink special they had that night, too!

"Like whippets, they dance in a curly-queue dance Of pulses…read moreand ringing and campfire chants Birds of a feather are flocking outside" (Phish) There are so many nice restaurants in Fairfield, picking one for lunch can be a formidable task. But because it was so cold today, we picked one close to the train station for our lunch for three, and it turned out to be a great choice after our meal at Ryebird. Their website describes Ryebird as "A Neighborhood joint where friends and family meet" and that seems pretty much spot-on. The bar is gorgeous, the dining room is beautifully decorated with red painted walls, dark distressed wood tables, and stainless-steel colored chairs. The service was great, I mean outstanding. Our server Leo was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. We had a few conversations with Manager Thomas who was very charming and a real joy to talk with. And I haven't even gotten to the food yet! OK, here we go! Our party of three went with a small Chicken Soup for The Soul with Cheesy Bread ($14) for me. What's Cheesy Bread? Well, how about three toasted pieces of gooey pizza bread topped with a feta spread and olive oil. My brother-in-law went with their Daily Pot Pie ($23 for Chicken today), with a house-made buttery crust, scratch-made filling, and an added $4 up-charge for a gravy boat full of mushroom bourbon gravy. My wife went with a Roaster sandwich ($18) of pulled chicken, cheddar, BBQ sauce, pickled onion, on a baguette served with fries. We also had an order of Lemon Chili Zucchini ($9) for the table. The food was wonderful, as both the pot pie and the sandwich were devoured. My soup was a pretty big bowl for a "Small" but was loaded with more carrots and celery than chicken. I asked our server Leo if they had any hot sauce, and he asked me how hot did I want it? Ryebird has a few different types in increasing levels of hotness. I asked for the max, and he brought out a little ramekin of some of the hottest hot sauce I ever had. It was pretty much at my upper level of tolerance. I chatted about it with the restaurant manager on the way out, and he was pretty sure it was made with Ghost Peppers, so that explained my thermonuclear mouth numbing reaction. Anyway, we loved our visit to Ryebird. Their food is reasonably priced, portions are generous, the quality is high, and the service is exceptional. What more do you want in a Fairfield County lunch?

The menu is some what tied into the Puglia region, which is the heel of the boot. I could tell the italian dialect from the owner when he was speaking to one of the staff, it immediately gave me a good feeling that this restaurant would be really good. The appetizers we had were all really good, we had the fried calamari, the grilled Octopusss, the fried zucchini flowers and thd hummus special. Sorry no pics of these. We had a couple of the Orrechiette Barese, Chicken parmigiana, a pasta special of fettuccine with shrimp in a cream and pesto sauce, another pasta with cavatelli, shrimp and cream and pesto sauce, really couldn't see the pesto, probably could have used a little more or maybe a little finishing with the pesto on top. Service was good and the owner came around to introduce himself and we got a complimentary round of their homemade creama di limencello to finish off the experience. Wr wouldn't hesitate to go again the next time we are in town to see a show.

"Well, I went to see my woman Down behind the barn…read moreSundown's gonna catch me In my sweet baby's arms" (Steve Miller Band) Rustic is the word! The barn-like building's dining room is dominated by thick wood plank paneling, exposed ceiling beams, and a stone fireplace. Three of us stopped in for lunch today, and we had a very favorable experience. Our server was super friendly and helpful, and answered a few questions we had about the preparation of a sandwich. She even ran back to the kitchen to check with the chef and made sure we had the information we were looking for. Their menu is very broad and covers appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and bowls. Our lunch was a Southwest Salad ($18.95) with Mojito-lime marinated grilled chicken, crispy romaine, Roasted corn, black beans, pico de gallo, queso fresco, avocado & crispy tortillas with ancho chipotle dressing, Chatham Fish N' Chips ($20.95) with Crispy ale battered cod with fries, tartar sauce, house slaw and lemon wedges, and a Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich ($17.95) with Lemon-Pepper grilled chicken breast, roasted red peppers, baby arugula, fresh mozzarella, and pesto aioli served on a toasted Rosemary focaccia. The food was excellent. I had the salad, and the first thing I noticed was there was a LOT of grilled diced chicken on my plate. It was a big portion, certainly enough for two sittings, and I have to say that ancho chipotle dressing was sneaky spicy! I really liked this place. Decent pricing, good food, good value, plenty of choices, a friendly staff, a full bar, and pretty much whatever you look for to enjoy a meal. What more can a Yelper want?

She was a huge part of our magical experience. I started off with the buffalo cauliflower. I will preface this by saying I'm not a big Buffalo flavor person, but I'm a vegetarian and didn't feel like getting my usual vegetarian app - brussel sprouts. I wanted to expand my palate that evening and surprisingly I actually really liked it. The amount of blue cheese was perfect for me (despite the reviews) as it would have made it too salty and greasy. Next was my entree: Modified Kettle Cooked Zoodles. As a vegetarian, I never have the highest expectations but I was blown away! Chris our server was so sweet to have this customized for me. We took the idea of hubby's Branzino sauce and added more veggies to the Kettle cooked Zoodle dish. It was so yummy! Hubby's Branzino: fish was well cooked, elegant flavors from the Puttanesca sauce with spinach and mashed potatoes were excellent! Faux-ito: I got two, the first was the classic, the second was a mix of strawberry and pineapple. Both delicious mocktails! The Forbidden Pear: hubby got this one. very balanced, not sticky sweet. I can't believe this gem is just sitting here in Fairfield. Not too far off from a night in the city. We will definitely be back!
