Bagel with Sliced Lox
Julia H.

Great little place. We were in the area for donuts but also was looking for a savory breakfast item. We ordered a few bagels: - smoked salmon with cream cheese - plain bagel egg and bacon - cinnamon raisin with cream cheese Everything was great. We were amazed on how soft and fluffy the bagel remained even after it was toasted! Also had an ice chai that was pretty good too. Service is quick and there are a few tables for you to sits d eat there.

This place has the best breakfast burrito by far... the fire ball is amazing, also an amazing place to stop in and grab a coffee

Amazing and cheap place for breakfast! Order the bacon egg and cheese with hash browns and hot sauce on a Portuguese roll (if available). The iced coffee and iced chai are also amazing! One of the best Wilton has to offer.

Good coffee and breakfast platters. No frills alternative to other fancier options nearby. Relatively affordable

I tried an everything bagel and lox. Superb. If I lived in Connecticut, I'd be a regular for breakfast.

This place perfectly encapsulates how a notch above mediocrity is absolutely thrilling to the…read moresuburban Connecticut person. Look, it is a cute shop. They spent the money and they have a nice espresso machine. Which of course is ultimately the only thing that matters to me - the coffee. But let's talk about the donuts. Because this is a donut shop. They are large. Like Americans. They are not particularly inspiring. They are cake-like - with the exception of the apple fritter one which was a gooey greasy mess. None of them are really donuts. I got four of them to go. I took a bite of each and that was more than enough. Even my high school aged son passed them over after a few bites. Now for the surprise, and the reason that this is not a more scathing review. The coffee was surprisingly okay. I ordered a Cortado. Of course it was served in the only sized cup they have so it wasn't properly presented, but it was reasonably good and I drank the whole thing. So, doughnut shop: coffee - good, donuts - meh. Add to this the inexplicable hyper-popularity that causes there to be a line around the block and I would say overall - not worth the time unless you catch it at an hour when there's no wait.

Keeping this review short and sweet because the donuts speak for themselves. One of the BEST donuts…read moreI've ever had, and I am a self proclaimed (and community proclaimed) donut fanatic. The donuts are so good here! They're served warm, and the apple fritter donut is incredible. The line gets long pretty quickly on weekends, so get there early before things sell out. RUN, don't walk, to try a donut from here!! They have seating inside and outside as well, so you can enjoy the donut on the spot if you want.

So yesterday I decided to make a side trip over to Nova Cafe, a place I had been meaning to give a…read moretry, but never really had a chance. It was too far out of my way for convenience. In a town that has no shortage of cafes and pick-me-ups, Nova faces some stiff competition. Let's break it down. The building it's in looks almost like a house. If one were to look at it at first glance and not know any better, they might think it was someone's home. This is further evidenced by the fact that the porch looks homey, and the front door looks like what a front door might look like for something as assuming as a house. You have a ramp you could walk up on if you towards the back a little on the left. Even steeping inside, you could mistake this for a house in a vacuum of space. Only the order booth gives a clear indication that this is a cafe. But this just goes to show just how well they pull off the cozy, homey vibe. It feels like the kind of place where you could cook a batch of homemade chocolate cookies, serve it with some nice, cold milk, and we'd have a feast. The people who do work here are nice and helpful as well. So why the four? Well, even though the panini-pressed melt I had ordered was great and the bread it was on had a great crisp to it, you have to remember that there are a lot of cafes in Wilton. Because of this fact, this place needs to have something that makes it stand out in terms of what they have on menu, and so far the only thing that truly stands out is the ambiance. I do want to come back and try their other stuff, and I did enjoy the Mocha Madness I had from them. It's still a fair bit out of my way, so I don't know how often I will be able to come back, but I do want to give their other items a try.

This is a clean, cute and warm place! The staff is somewhat friendly…read more The lattes were ok. I wish they had been hotter. Vanilla nut latte - was good flavor just luke warm. 3.5 out of 5 Almond Joy latte - too sweet and luke warm 3 out of 5 I'd definitely comeback and ask for it extra hot. Maybe next time we will stay here and try other items.
