It was just okay overall. There were plenty of tables and no wait at all on a Saturday at 1pm. The appetizer sampler was good, especially the onion rings and egg rolls, which were the best part. The Caesar crunchwrap tasted good but felt a bit heavy. The kids breakfast was perfect, though. The milkshakes were definitely over the top but in a fun way and big enough for all 7 of us to share. The place was clean and staff were fine.

We decided to try this restaurant as it's new and close to our home. As we walked in on a Sunday afternoon we were surprisingly seated quickly. Ordered an appetizer and two entrees. My wife's food was very good, mine was ok - (the lamb was a bit too salty on the gyro and too crispy for my taste). However their onion rings were amazing. The portion size was off the charts. They even also brought us two 'on the house' donuts which were delicious. The restaurant isn't huge but had a nice open layout with good space between tables. Thanks to Miguel our waiter who made sure we had what we needed at our table. Would we go back, yes we would recommend however I would try something different.

Cool, relaxed atmosphere. The staff had energy and made a good espresso martini. The chicken cheeseburger was a piled high, delicious nap starter. There is a bunch of crazy menu items that I will need to come back and try.

Very solid diner, it's just pricey, even for the regular, non-crazy food. We ordered the crispy chicken wrap, which had avocado and bacon in it among other things, and a kids mac and cheese. The wrap came out to $22 with curly fries, which felt a bit steep. The ambiance is fun and modern inside, but the booths aren't that comfortable. Someone behind me kept bumping me from behind. Great servers and had a nice time. I'd probably come back for some of the outrageous eats with family or friends but not for a normal meal.

I'll start to say that we didn't order any of the wild dishes that they are more well known for. We ordered pretty standard food, but I will say the portion sizes were great and all the food was delicious. The staff was very nice and attentive. They brought us some of their house made donuts near the end of the meal on the house. I imagine they were maybe making a new batch and had leftovers (I saw them taking some donuts to another table too). Or maybe it was because we went with the small child and they thought it would be nice for her. Either way, it was very nice. The decor and atmosphere is really nice. I really enjoyed the vibe. They definitely have some epic dishes on their menu that I think we will come back to try on a day when we don't have a young kid in tow. It's definitely meant more for adults than children, although kids aren't out of place there. We had the souvlaki platter, the grains and greens salad bowl, and the kids Mac and cheese. Everything was just really good. Very filling, very homey, and large portions at a good price point. The donuts were the cakey homemade ones with cinnamon sugar and they were perfect. Overall, would definitely come back. Definitely want to try some of their more creative and bonkers menu items.

The milkshakes is water down not as thick as i expected, guess they didn't add icecream. It's like drinking sugar water with artificial strawberries flavor. ............Tried the one at Sherwood diner which is so much better. We ordered two Steak & egg , both steaks came out well done when asked for medium rare, the home fries don't taste good at all. Our sever doesn't seems to care, idk just the feeling... after we mentioned the steak was not done right, we didn't get any reaction back.. oh well... The curly fries is way too salty......so, conclusion it's bad quality and overpriced for this level. I tried blueberry waffle (didn't bother to take any picture anymore, waffle is too mushy, no flavor, only ate a quarter of it. I brought my family over to try because of all the nice reviews, walking out disappointed.

Have been to the sister location before and decided to try this location out. It's located in a plaza that's pretty set back and you will miss it If you are not careful. Staff was super attentive Good came out fast but was pretty highly priced 6 wings came out to 15.00 while the wings were good and had great flavor that price is steep. The French toast was a huge portion and packed with yummy goodness The corned beef was ok it didn't taste homemade though (the menu you said homemade that's why I chose it) They take credit card and tip minimum option is 18 percent and then goes up from there (what happened to 15 percent) you can customize your own tip amt too Parking is street or garage Stamford location in our opinion is better

My family and I were able to snag a table ahead of the lunch rush. The menu is certainly quite innovative, and the pics on Yelp helped us narrow down our best options. The Brunch Crunch Wrap was definitely the most interesting and really tasty. Definitely use the dipping sauce. My breakfast burger was pretty average but large. Service was a bit on the slower side, but the fun bustle of an upscale diner kept our conversation going.

I've been to the Stamford location a few times but this was my first time at this location. This location had a beautiful entrance with flowers and a fountain. The restaurant has the same spectacular comfort foods that are totally instagrammable and delicious. The staff is efficient and patient which is helpful because their menu can be very overwhelming.

As I'm writing this I'm still siting at my table waiting on my bill. First let me just say I was excited to come here seen a TikTok video. Waiter Luis S. Seems ok first 2 minutes but after seems like he was rushing my partner and I to order. My partner and I decided to share pancakes he wanted the cheesecake cinnamon crunch one but the cheesecake was frozen fine so we decided to get the red velvet oreo pancakes and I order scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and home fries let me just say bland no seasoning at all turkey sausage seems like it was boiled had to add salt, pepper, ketchup and Tabasco sauce fine no problem still ate it. Pancake were ok just regular slice of red velvet cake on top whipped cream and raspberry chocolate drizzle. More raspberry sauce was the best thing Oreo crumble underneath each pancakes. Sure great. Couldn't find Luis to asked for the bill so I asked the hostess as we sitting there I'm looking around seeing glass of water on each table but mines so now I'm thinking do I have to ask for water or was Luis supposed to ask if I want some well none so I asked the hostess the question about the water I was supposed to be offered the water I wasn't she apologized and I left. Completely turn off from this spot maybe it was the breakfast but I will not try lunch. After Luis took the order and one drop by haven't seen Luis back at the table he was in the back make shakes and drinks.

This restaurant is much smaller in person than the pictures online show, and it seems to be consistently busy. My friends and I wanted to see what all the hype was about, so this was an outing for my birthday. Originally our party of four was told it was a 40 minute wait, then it changed in a matter of five minutes to us being seated. The restaurant wasn't the cleanest, and looked to be in somewhat of disarray. Our sever kept appearing and disappearing, so we tried to make sure all requests for items needed went in as soon as possible. There is an instagram-able list on the menu, which is where my crispy chicken cesar burrito came from (which showed up with a syringe of dressing.) My husband ordered the pancake tacos which were very hot and messy. My friends also ordered food but I didn't get pictures of their plates. Honestly, the food was mediocre with the exception of the chocolate layered cake, that was amazing. The four of us weren't impressed. We did get a piece of rainbow cake on the house, we still don't know why exactly, but we took it home. There were a lot of decadent deserts, especially those that contain a roman candle. However, unless you are an influencer, and love to post on Instagram, this restaurant probably isn't for you. I doubt I'll return.

Talk about last minute birthday decisions! So last year on my birthday I had a friend order…read moretakeout and we had it at their house. This year for my 35th, I was on my own for dinner this time around. That being said, I think I found a winner here to celebrate my 35th birthday. Say hello to Lazy Sister, located in the heart of South Norwalk where the restaurant scene comes alive! Because I was a single coming in, I was seated right away, no reservation needed. They were even kind enough to place my bag in the atrium so that I wouldn't have it in the way. I was seated at a table set for two, but it's a good thing I guess that I came on my own. First thing I notice upon coming in is that it is a very classy restaurant, not your typical dim sum joint. It's also not a big space, but that's fine by me. Honestly, this would make a great date night spot for anyone going out on a date. Funny enough, I was actually suggested this place by my friend the night I went to Jacob's Pickles. For reasons I am about to get to, I am glad I decided not to come here until a later date. So why would I say that? Well, because tonight, my order consisted of two Junmai Genshu "Little Sumo" sakes as well as the Salt & Pepper Calamari, a medium level Dry Fry Style Szechuan Chicken, and then the Fortune Cookie Soft Serve for dessert. Not only did I pay more here, but I also got more inebriated here than I did at Jacob's Pickles. But it's my birthday, so tonight it's not in my contract to care. You only live once, and I am already in like the middle of my life, so it all evens out, right? Speaking of the food, everything I ate was immaculate! The calamari was seasoned perfectly, vegetables were cooked and crisp, the spice from that Szechuan didn't overpower. It was more like a pleasant tingle, especially when mixed with water or sake. Everything was done just right. And that soft serve cooled me down in just the right way. Delicious and well worth finishing off the night! And while there were other drinks that definitely looked good, I couldn't say no to sake. That's like THE ultimate celebratory drink far as I'm concerned, and it was awesome! If you were wondering about the service, these people are quite friendly. They help you through anything you might need. While I waited a while to tell them, I did eventually tell my waitress it was birthday while I was on dessert. Cool enough, we are both Tauri! I love it when I get to talk to another Taurus! :) The bill was also why I am glad I waited for another occasion to come here. Because I decided to splurge, the affair was about $100 once tip was factored in. It was well worth it, and tonight's outing will definitely make for a fun story to tell. But 34 was a hard year. I deserve to let loose every now and then, and hopefully 35 will be a happier age. All in all, a great restaurant and well worth the money to come here.

We started off with the chili oil dumplings which were super flavorful! For entrees we got the Mongolian beef and the shrimp fried rice. Fried rice was my favorite -- didn't need any soy sauce or duck sauce bc it had enough flavor on its own. For drinks I got the lychee drink which was on the sweeter side for my personal taste. Overall, loved my experience and can't wait to go back to try more menu items.

My first meal was the Caesar salad, which was outstanding. The poached egg was cooked perfectly with that soft, medium‑boiled center I love. The Parmesan was fresh, the dressing was balanced, and the grilled chicken was a generous, well‑seasoned portion. Simple, clean, and delicious. The ambience is a huge part of the charm -- a cozy, wood‑cabin feel with a great bar setup. You can get full service at the bar, enjoy top‑shelf drinks, and watch the TVs without it feeling like a sports bar. It's a comfortable mix of locals and travelers, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. Benny behind the bar was great, and he made the experience even better with fun conversation and excellent service. For dinner, I tried the pasta with sausage, which was flavorful without being overly salty. You can tell they use quality ingredients. The mussels were a standout -- the broth was clean and delicious, with a white‑wine base, a touch of tomato, fresh herbs, and just the right kick from jalapeño. One of the best mussel dishes I've had in a while. The wine selection was also very good and paired nicely with the dishes I tried. After several meals back‑to‑back, I can confidently say this place delivers every time. Great food, great service, great vibe. I'll definitely keep coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a consistently excellent dining experience

Damn what a night this has been!…read more So a friend and I decided to come eat here after going to a funeral visitation for a co-worker. It was the first time in 18 years I had been to anything funeral-related, but harkening back to my childhood, we'd have food after funeral services to celebrate the life of the lost loved one, so it was a piece of me I wanted to share with my friend. Another thing that contributed to my wanting to come here is that this is a place I've been wanting to come to ever since this restaurant opened, and it went doubly so when it was named the Best Restaurant in Connecticut for 2024. The fact I finally got to go in of itself was a blessing, and I have to say that I am glad we came here. We were seated immediately upon arrival, and service was quick from start to finish. Our waiter was excellent. He was great making recommendations in effort to get us to save some money, took any questions we had with a smile, and made ordering an easy-peasy affair. Ambiance was very casual, great for any occasion really. If I ever had a date and this was where they took me, I'd be wanting a second date already. They're great for family get-togethers too. Oh, and the bathroom walls made me laugh with their witty one-liners like "Don't be a Gherk" or "Just Dill With It". So based on the recommendations we were given, we shared both of the appetizers we'd ordered: the fried pickles and the biscuits and fix-in's. The fried pickles that this place is known for were really good, very comparable to what you might get from a true Southern state. It comes with a spicy mayo, and paired together, it's divine! The biscuits & fix-ins are two large biscuits accompanied by four types of butter: salted, maple, vanilla, and the strawberry. They were all good, but we both agreed that the vanilla one was out-of-this-world, and the maple one had an authentic Vermonter taste to it. The strawberry one tastes like a strawberry cream cheese which is a good thing here, and even the salted butter was good. We each also got an entree, and I was the only one who ordered a drink. My friend had the Classic Mac & Cheese, and I had the Southwest Meat Platter as well as a Dirty Aphrodite. I love me some good ribs when I eat Southern food, and having the meats all in one, I couldn't say no to that. If I'm being honest, I came close to picking the Kentucky Porch Sipper for my drink, but the call of the Dirty Aphrodite was too big to ignore. And boy oh boy do they make the combination of pickle brine and vodka work with this drink! I don't think I've ever had vodka quite like that before, but Jacob's Pickles does it so well here! The entrees were also great. I saw the cheese pulls as my friend ate and I could tell I probably would have enjoyed that version of the classic dish. As for my dish, the ribs were tender and fell clean off the bone, tasted like a true BBQ wonder. The pulled pork was succulent, ratioed perfectly so nothing overpowers in the dish. The sausage tasted superb. The Nashville Hot Chicken was crispy, juicy, spicy without being overwhelming. The Pickle Slaw was some good Slaw. Is it the best I've ever had? No. But it's competent and definitely deserves to be called a slaw. Jalapeños and corn were great, and I even got another buttermilk biscuit to use the remaining butter we didn't use on our appetizers. All-in-all, one of the best outings I've had in a while. I mean it when I say this: Jacob's Pickles is a MUST-GO! It's that good! You won't regret it.

(Visited 3/11) Ambiance [4/5]: Minimalist style design, it's nice, Theres also pretty lighting and a good amount of seating with an open bar as well. Food: Trix latte w/ whole milk (seasonal): [4/5] Tastes like a bowl of cereal from a cup. Topped with whipped cream it's really delicious! Tastes like a cup of childhood. Theres a good anount of cereal in the cup alongside the ice so it feels like you get a good amount of sips before the drink is done. Other than that it's still pretty good nonetheless. Sin-A-Bun: [5/5] This is very delicious, it's a perfect mix of sweet and savory. The smokiness from the bacon surprisingly compliments the cinnamon roll buns. Good concept and executed perfectly. If there were an option i'd choose that over having it on the side. Surprisingly I didn't notice it on the side on the sandwich until I was half way through. Still delicious though. Challah french toast [5/5] Tasty and sweet. You can't go wrong with french toast. I added strawberries, blueberries, bananas, and Nutella drizzle (each topping is $3 extra). It was worth the price it was delicious. It came with a side of butter which compliments the sweetness of the toast and some syrup. I didn't use much of the syrup but it was still delicious when I did decide to use it! I wouldn't order this because for delivery because its one of those things that taste so much better fresh in front of you rather than waiting to he dropped off. Service: [5/5] Fast and efficient service! The restaurant works as a team. One man sat me, The middle eastern girl with the long sleeve black shirt took my order and checked on me, and the white boy with the arm tattoos and pen between his ear checked on me at times, and cleaned my table while the girl was busy. We decided on a tomato cheddar soup and the Churn it Up sandwich with Havarti and provolone. We were told the wait would be 40 mins, giving us the option to wait it out or go elsewhere. We stuck it out and the food was at our table in less than 20 mins. The sandwiches were ooey gooey toasted cheesiness and paired perfectly with the creamy tomato soup. It came with a lighty dressed arugula salad. I had a freshly brewed ice tea and my dining partner got a Dr. Brown's soda. The breakfast rush was soon over but people were still coming in to eat and grab take out while we enjoyed our meals. They also offer beers and wines and hot chocolate. The entire place was very clean, including the restrooms, although I did not see any table wiping going on. Staff were smiling and polite. Plenty of parking in lot shared with other business.
