First you start with locating a new diner to see how they are - the owners glare at you from inside as you pull up. Walk in and say good morning, you get glared at even more. Only words - sit anywhere. Get handed a well used and abused menu that should have been retired. Paper literally glued to the table from being repeatedly not cleaned/washed, now a permanent fixture. Bugs....yes bugs on the table...actually with the sourness coming from the very unhappy owners, the little guy was the high light of my morning. Ask for coffee and more time to check the huge menu - decided to try chicken sausage and some eggs....yea...downfall, sausage tasted old and smelled old, like rotten old. (Blech) Best part - HAIR! Yes not only one delightful hair in my eggs, but two in the food - super fun surprise - NOT! Sadly I could not get a good image of this.... I did notice that the woman's clothes were covered in hair, guessing her husband who was the cook may have participated in this extra additive.

Perfect Sunday morning brunch. The coffee is always hot and the food is delicious. Fries were crispy and club was great!

Clean, small, quaint. Kind Greek staff. Small menu for a diner. So my one co-worker had grilled cheese w/waffle fries and cheese on top. She said it was the "perfect diner grilled cheese". I ordered the chicken souvaki platter....that was seasoned chicken chunks w/Greek salad & vinegrette dressing (yum!), with Greek yogurt dressing, hot, homemade pita, and french fries (couldn't eat most it), and Ken got pork souvaki wrap with pickle and fries. $42 including tip and tax in Stanford, Conn. I rate it 3.75, Ken 2.5, Robin 4 stars. Loved it.

This is a good solid diner. Short stack pancakes and home fries we're satisfying and for a good price.

Traditional dinner food and quality. Service is mediocre. There are always the same waitresses who are typically rude.

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !

First of all, I love an old classic diner and Post Road Diner is in great shape and being worked on…read moreto make it even better. The diner has comfortable retro feel, but updated appropriately. I ordered Turkey & dressing w/ mashed potatoes and gravy on all of it. My appetizer choice was chicken noodle soup. I had iced tea and water, and finished w/ fantastic pecan pie alamode. My waiter was prompt to greet me, answer questions on the menu, and all the stuff a waiter should do. I really enjoyed my dinner at Post Road Diner. I would give it a 4.5 but not quite a 5.
