Super cute place. Seems to have plenty of seating, food, drink snd dessert options. Staff was very sweet and attentive. We shared the sampler which is more than enough for 2 people and husband had the burger. We really enjoyed everything. It was all very tasty.

The Stamford Diner is easily a top 3 diner in my book! The food is undeniable!! Everything I've tried has been solid, comforting, and exactly what you want from a classic diner. The vibes are immaculate too! Whether you're stopping in for a quick dinner, late night munchies, or just need a pick me up after a long day. It's the perfect stop. Not to mention the service is always friendly, fast, and on point. You never feel rushed, but you're never left waiting either. Oh and the prices? More than fair for what you get. I don't think i've ever gone and left without a take out container because the portions are HUGE. You're absolutely getting your money's worth every time. This is one of those places you can always count on no matter the mood or time of day. Seriously, this place is the best!!!

First time coming here, they put up very nice Christmas decoration. Service is nice and seating are comfortable. Shrimp Alredo comes with mild tasty sauce, bread was toasted with butter i like that they are not giving those white bread. Seafood pasta (spicy) flavorful and all the seafood flavor went into the sauce, fresh seafood and refreshing sauce with a kick of pepper. Skirt steak was medium rare pink inside, Brown rice was best one the chef knows how to make good brown rice, it's not soaky and crunchy in every bite, I'm surprised with those taro chips they add. Chicken wings was crispy outside, juicy inside . The garlic Parmesan tends to be salty so i asked for buffalo sauce. I'll go for buffalo next time. Looking forward to come back try some breakfast items.

For lunch, I had the Western Omelette with hash browns and English Muffin and my wife had the Greek salad. Our son had the specialty "gyro panini" unusual, but he said it was very tasty! They had fun Valentines decorations up early and the atmosphere was quite festive! Our waitress (Anastasia?) was loads of fun and had a great personality! I've eaten here before for company luncheon's as well and will be sure to be back in the future! I thought it was cool that they had a Food Network segment The Stamford Diner, with Guy Fieri sampling their matzah ball soup and other great dishes! (Season 37, episode 12 from Diners, Drive ins and Dives) Job well done!

The Stamford Diner is much nicer inside than it looks from the outside. It's bigger, clean and well lit. We were greeted right away and told it would be a five minute wait, but it ended up being only two which was great. It was packed and we were seated in the back area. Our server Armando was the highlight. Friendly, patient and genuinely helpful, especially with their big menu since it was our first visit. For food, I had the steak and scrambled eggs with American cheese, home fries and buttered rye toast. I also ordered a passion fruit mimosa and an espresso martini. Drinks were a miss. The martini was strong but not made well, and the mimosa wasn't great either. The steak was cooked correctly at medium, but it had no flavor and was surprisingly fatty. The rye toast was hard and tasted old. The home fries and scrambled eggs carried the plate. She had the old fashioned French toast, bacon and a side of fries. French toast and bacon were solid. She didn't like the fries, though I thought they were fine. Overall, it wasn't terrible, but there's work to do before this becomes a go to breakfast spot.

I have always seen this restaurant from the highway and from the main street. I never go because diners are typically known for tired food and the bare minimum of style of cooking. With that being said this food here in service and the look of the Diner, it should not be called the diner. This place should be called a restaurant. It is beautiful in here as far as the renovations went years ago the decoration, the decor the seating everything is really good here. This is my second time here And I'm surprised so many people are inside. I never see too many cars that means a lot of people walk here or come from the hotel this place will see me DAILY; in the morning now.... I have a home. I love the service here. The people here are nice. It's not like it was years ago 2025 years ago. Seating and greeting Ambience Server Food Prices

Came here with a small group (six of us) after my friends' elopement, which made for a memorable post-wedding meal. The experience started off a little weird--when we walked in, the host asked to see my friend's wedding ring, I guess as "proof" of the marriage? Not sure what that was about, but we laughed it off and moved on. Service was solid--our waiter was friendly, and the food came out on time without any issues. The menu has all the classic diner staples, and while everything was decent, nothing particularly stood out. The ambiance is exactly what you'd expect from a classic American diner. That said, prices are on the higher side (a shake is $17.99!), so don't come expecting a budget-friendly meal. Overall, a good spot for a casual meal with friends, minus the odd welcome at the door.

Mariana is amazing, whenever you stop by ask for Mariana!!! I had the tornado waffle with Oreo stuffing and vanilla ice cream and ny skirt steak with egg over easy. It was gooooood. I listened to jazz and big band while I ate. Ambiance calm I went around 9am. So yea love it and the service was top tier!

With some trepidation we ordered the Thanksgiving Dinner for 12 to go instead of cooking. While it was pricey, I would absolutely do it again, with some adjustments. With few exceptions, everything was EXCELLENT! We were 6 people and I wanted all to leave with leftovers. They all did. The turkey was cooked perfectly and was moist and delicious. While everything was picked up "warm" they provided instructions how to heat it up if I wasn't immediately serving it. It reheated well The mashed potatoes, yams, corn bread stuffing Cranberry/orange and gravy were EXCELLENT. The pumpkin pie and apple crisp were EXCELLENT as was the loaf of whole grain bread. The salad was fresh and plentiful! Very little went on thanksgiving but we ate it for three days following There were several spots that missed the mark. The classic stuffing was awful, it had the consistency of soup, the roasted vegetables were just "fair" and the focaccia was dry. My family and I are mashed potato freaks so I did have to make mashed potatoes to ensure there was enough. I also made my own classic stuffing. I had ingredients for both on hand for "just in case". I also ordered an extra gravy because who doesn't love an extra gravy. If (When) I do this again I would see if I am able to make the following adjustments. I would order more mashed potatoes, drop the classic stuffing and make my own, stick with two gravy's, drop the focaccia and roasted vegetables, and possibly the salad While tasty, only two of us actually ate the salad. As my family said, it only gets in the way of the main event. The folks at the Stamford Diner are always top notch, the food was ready right on time, and they rolled it out to my car. All in all, a great feast worth the money

How is the parking?

They have plenty of off street parking... But it is a busy place so there may be some challenges in finding an open space during busy times.

Today was the first time we've eaten here in years. We were seated immediately but we waited more than 40 minutes for the food to come. We watched people leave because they could not wait for their food any longer. At first, I thought a chef must have called out. When our food finally came, I was forced to look at the most unappealing home fries that were molded to the plastic container they were stored in. At least try to make them look fresh bru. And the whole restaurant was cold. I was cold. The food was cold. This place should be called COLD Street Diner, am I right? And the coffee refill came like once. In the whole hour and a half we were there. The only times someone would walk by was to clear a table, or that guy idk who he is idk if he's the owner but he was wearing balenciaga sweatpants and then he would just go stand by the register to sip on some wine. My mother ordered the huevos rancheros and they were bland asl. I ordered the birria omelette and it was BLAND EVERYTHING WAS BLAND!!! The birria was just wet it didn't taste like anything bro. We haven't been to the Norwalk location but a lady sitting next to us noticed that we weren't happy with our food and she was speculating that all the good cooks got transferred there. Whether it's the cooks to blame, or the fact that it's a busy Saturday, it's safe to say we will not be coming back.

When I walked in, the place was packed--which I initially took as a good sign. Busy usually means good food and good service. I was seated at a small two-top in the back blocking the counter seating, which was already tight for a meeting with paperwork. As the lunch crowd began to clear out, the table next to me opened up. I started to move my materials to give us a bit more space for the meeting. At that point, a waitress approached me in a very abrupt and unpleasant tone and said, "Where do you think you're going?" I explained that the table had just become available and that I needed the space for a business meeting. She immediately shut me down, saying, "No, you're not. That's a four-person table and you're only two." It was around 2:00 p.m., the restaurant was already emptying out, and they close at 3:00 p.m., so the response felt unnecessary and frankly rude. I told her she didn't need to be so nasty--I had no idea there were strict rules about not moving to an empty table in a nearly empty restaurant. I stayed where I was because the only other available tables were even more cramped for 2 people, and at least I had space to set my pocketbook and paperwork on a stool next to me instead of the floor. Unfortunately, the experience got worse. When my client arrived, 215pm, we were largely ignored for service even though the restaurant was nearly empty at that point. Food was basic. My takeaway: unless you enjoy being packed into tight seating, dealing with extremely unprofessional and unfriendly staff, struggling to get service, I would not recommend this place. Hospitality and courtesy go a long way, and sadly both were missing here. And one final thought: in the service industry, you never know who your customers are or what opportunities kindness might bring. Do better! 65+ MILLION FOLLOWERS on the internet!

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !
