Whoever dogs this place doesn't know what's good in life. I stopped in with my brother to Curley's while in town to pick up a friend at the train station. We ordered eggs and bacon and it came fast, hot and delicious. The coffee is great and everything hits for a perfect diner meal with regular food. If you like NYC diners you'll like this. Unpretentious, inexpensive, fast and courteous service. Not sure what else you could want. Oh- they speak Spanish fluently as well.

Quick service, super friendly staff and parking during the day. Win win! I ordered a sliced corn beef, egg and cheese on a plain bagel it was $5.60 with tax. It was decent, nothing to write home about. But the staff was excellent, friendly and super accommodating. They said they normally serve corn beef hash and eggs on a bagel or hard roll instead of what I had. Which actually sounds delicious I might have to try that. But would definitely recommend coming back here.

Came into Stamford for Los Angeles. My wife found Curley through Google. Their Disco Fries are out of this world. My wife had the Cheesesteak omlette. You'll thank me later. Kind service

Being a New Yorker, I can appreciate a good Diner. The abandoned industrial photography around the room sets the tone really well, and the food is excellent. They gave me a fruit salad in a sundae glass, and all good fruits, none of that honey dew nonsense. And their eggs are on point, with Canadian bacon! This establishment deserves more attention.

In the order notes, I specifically asked if they could replace the pancakes with toast on ONE of the two orders, if possible. The request was very clear: one order with toast, one order with pancakes. When the food arrived at Stamford Hospital, where my wife and I had just welcomed our baby, both orders came with toast and neither included the pancakes. I called the restaurant to try to understand what happened. The gentleman I spoke with couldn't provide any reasonable explanation other than saying that my note was "confusing." It really wasn't. And even if there was any confusion, the obvious solution would have been to call and clarify the order before preparing it rather than simply making the substitution on both meals. What made the situation even worse was the response from the restaurant. I asked if they could correct the mistake by bringing the missing pancakes to the hospital. He refused. Then, after I expressed my frustration with how the situation was being handled, he actually hung up on me. That is completely unacceptable customer service. Mistakes happen -- especially with delivery orders -- but how a business handles a mistake says everything. Instead of apologizing, correcting the issue, or even attempting to find a reasonable solution, I was met with excuses, an attitude, and ultimately a hang-up. Awful management and an even worse customer-service experience. Unfortunately, the food itself was also less than average, so there really wasn't anything about this experience that would make me want to return. We were literally at the hospital after having our baby, and what should have been a simple brunch order turned into this unnecessary headache. I absolutely do NOT recommend Elm Street Diner. There are plenty of places that will not only serve you better food, but will actually treat their customers with basic courtesy and respect.

Note: If you dine outside, then your food comes in to-go plates rather than actual dishes. Our group got a variety of items: their lakeside special, pancakes, wraps, sandwiches, and wedges. Everything was pretty solid--classic diner style. I got their pancakes and they were buttery and thin. I loved their red, white, and blue as it came with lots of fruit. Not sure if the 2 eggs were worth an extra $5, but it's alright. We also got their donuts, which they oversold on and didn't tell us until we followed up (and had to ask for a refund). They also never brought us our drinks that we bought. Overall, the food was okay, service wasn't that good, but lakeside vibes were great.

"I'll go back to the diner I'll write another letter…read moreI hope you'll read it this time" (Billie Eilish) I kind of laughed when our server brought over our menus. They were in a heavy book (reminded me of a high school yearbook) with six pages of choices plus an insert of daily specials. Post Road is the kind of diner that diner lovers dream of. Their menu is an embarrassment of riches and would seamlessly fit in alongside anything you would find on the Sunrise Highway on Long Island or on Route 17 in New Jersey. Three of us walked in around 11:30am today, and our first order of business was deciding if we'd go for lunch or breakfast food. We all went for breakfast plates- pancakes ($9.99) with a side of scrambled eggs ($2.99), GF Pancakes ($12.98), and for me a "Protein Breakfast" ($13.99) and a coffee ($3.49). So, I'm sure you're asking, "what on earth is a protein breakfast?' Well, it was four egg whites, a few gorgeous tomato slices, and a nice piece of grilled chicken. It was pretty filling and everything tasted great. Our server was efficient and professional and swiftly brought over a "to go" box for the excess of those enormous pancakes. The dining room is awesome, a real throwback to the 1950's with plenty of old-time booths, art deco neon signs, checkerboard ceramic tile, and music\entertainment\pop culture images everywhere. We really enjoyed our visit !
