We had a great experience dining in at 9 PM on a weekday. The fact that this was one of the only places is still open, made it an easy choice. I used to come here when I was younger, and it still has that nostalgic feeling, and the food did not disappoint. The cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the curly fries are especially crispy. They were quick to bring it out after ordering and were very friendly as well. The inside had a vintage decor and design. Went in not expecting much and ended up with a delicious reasonable lunch! My grilled chicken wrap was yummy. They lightly toasted the wrap so it was not soggy like most wraps. Loved that! My Cheeseburger was really disgusting the meat was completely pink and soggy, the fries were no good , I literally got sick from this the same day I got my food, customers service was really bad too the owner was on his phone when me and my gf was ready to order until the worker did. That same night my gf went back and told the owner tht I got sick from it and that he was very sorry that once I feel better to go back and get a free order, Yet the owner still ask my girlfriend if I ask for my burger, medium rare my girlfriend told him no I didn't because they didn't ask me how I want my burger, they just took our order and that's it. Cove Beach Grill is your typical greasy fast food joint. I absolutely miss Pat's Hubba Hubba. This place just isn't the same but alas the food hasn't changed much. I usually get a BLT burger with chili cheese fries and it's consistently good. Something about the burger bun just brings me back to Pat's Hubba Hubba days. I hope the food doesn't change because if that's the case then I'm out. I also saw the owners comment about digital menu boards. Please do not do this with those awful LED bright and hideous boards. NO ONE LIKES THOSE. Just keep the prices consistent and low. If I'm gonna have to pay $7 for a BLT burger then I'm finding somewhere else to go. The whole point of this place is trying to keep it somewhat nostalgic but if you start getting greedy then no one will come here. read more

Dear owner, Tell your employees to wear their mask. Walked in wearing a mask but cashier/waitress was wearing a chin guard. Mouth out, nose out, taking orders & had an attitude when confronted about it. Ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I know everyone needs a break from their mask but when you see customers entering the establishment, that mask should go right back over your face. This is more 2.5 Star. I visited twice. The first time was great. I ordered a burger and fries after a late, boozy night. The second time, I ordered a turkey BLT wrap, but on a wedge (grinder). When I got back home and unwrapped it, it was a BLT, sans turkey. I was kind of pissed, but I didn't feel like going back. Also, I realized I was charged for a BLT ($7.50) vs the Turkey BLT ($8.75). So, at least I didn't get shortchanged. The bread is really good. The ingredients are pretty skimpy though. Just get my order correct next time and throw a few more ingredients on my sammie and the rating will get pumped up. read more

I only wrote this review after having several similar experiences at this establishment: This place is awful, don't go. Our food came out totally incorrect, cheese was not melted, fries were underdone and the owner was completely rude. You'd think they'd change things based on the reviews they have been getting about specific problems, but its clear they do not care. I used to go here when I lived in Stamford. On a rainy night, I made the trip there from Norwalk. I was in the mood for one of my favorites from their menu (I do have a few). The staff is still incredibly friendly. The food (hot dogs with chili and bacon and fries) more than met my craving. If possible, the food has improved. The chili has been turned up a notch and has a really nice flavor. Oh, and the fusion shake is spot one. I am thrilled that Cove Beach Grill has survived. I am sure that there are going to be more times when returning here is going to be worth the trip. read more

I've had the chili fries a few times, first time the original fryer from Pats was still there so I thought OK good move, BUT last few times was horrible (he was replaced), had family over from out of town, So ordered almost $50 of food and the hot dogs were pitiful and plain, bread was burnt and fell right apart, fries are always dry (no salt) and a tea spoon of chili, burger had NOTHING on it except cheese, had my visitors say it was the worst $50 spent.. I would give a zero rating if possible. gave an order for a cheeseburger and fries. One other burger on the grill at the time and took 5 minutes for the cool to even put mine on. I did not complain. When it came off the grill, I waited another 5 mins and then asked if my burger was coming. The owner snapped that it was on the grill so I snapped back that it was actually off. He rudely informed me that I needed to understand because there were two $100 orders before me...and how is that my problem?! How about you tell your people how to be efficient instead of tripping over each other. He then made a snotty comment to another customer clearly about me. Then my burger sat while waiting for my fries another 5 minutes, my burger was getting cold. He must have realized what a jerk he was and offered chili on my fries...no thanks. I just wanted what I ordered and did not want to be spoken to rudely when you guys don't have it together. In all, the place is disorganized, service rude and I waited 20 minutes for a mediocre burger and fries, which came with a hair in them. As I left he fistbumped me and said "we are trying" which was the same line he used when they screwed up my order the last time. Thanks, but no thanks. I won't be going back and certainly will tell everyone I know to avoid it like the plague. Mediocre food I can handle but rude service, NEVER.
