I've dined here several times over the past year plus. I'm struggling with where to land this review rating-wise because the food and drinks are always really great. Service, however, can be extremely hit or miss. I feel like 4 stars is appropriate because most of the time, it's a hit -- but when it's a miss, you almost feel abandoned at your table... The couple of times this has happened, the server was also very rude. Again, 90% of the time, really great and wonderful service experience, too. Additionally, it can get very loud in the restaurant and I'm relatively soft-spoken, so it can be very difficult for me to communicate with the servers. The experience at the bar has always been so lovely. Both the outdoor patio and indoor seating... Great vibe, great lighting. I've dined here enough, solo and in groups, to have had all of the following: To sip: - Espresso Martini: Very good espresso martinis here! - Manhattan: Classic. Great. - Agave Club: Good, sweet (as expected). - Socialite: Good. They make a good, classic Negroni and the red wine offerings are good. I'm not a huge CA wine person, but their Chianti on the menu from Italy is good. Must be medium-high in sulfite levels though because I do tend to get a little stuffy... but that's ok. :) To eat: - Burrata: Delicious but you really cannot go wrong here. - Charcuterie Board: Great to share. - Rock Shrimp Bao Buns: Ordered once. I continue to do without. They are really good but for me, personally, there's better on the menu. - Oysters: Basic but delicious selection. I just love oysters. - Organic Scottish Salmon: Very good. - Black Pot Mussels - Manieri: Amazing mussels and that white wine to accompany... Perfect. - Hanger Steak: Yum. - Greens and Quinoa Salad: Love it, very sesame-forward. If you do not like sesame, do not order. If you love it, go for it. - Spicy Lobster Fettucini: This is SO. GOOD. Have ordered this several times... Once, I had it two nights in a row dining in and I love it every time. Really good pasta dish and the amount of lobster is generous and the delicate flavor, surprisingly, does not get lost. Always plated beautifully. To end: - Caramel Brioche: REALLY great dessert; decadent. - Ricotta Cheesecake Brûlée: Amazing. The blueberry marmalade is so good.

My friend and I decided to do happy hour at The Americano for the first time. We were kindly greeted and although there were not anymore seats at the bar (where happy hour takes place), the manager was so kind enough to still honor us with the happy hour selection from a table instead. By the time we were ready to start ordering, a few seats opened up and our sweet waiter took care of cleaning the area first before we switched over to the bar. The overall ambiance of this restaurant was family friendly with a holiday feel. We ordered cocktails, which were delicious! Our appetizers (sticky wings = 10/10, omg the sauce!; shrimp bao buns, and some meatballs) kept us more than full enough that we decided to hold off on ordering anything else for the evening. Before we left, our original waiter asked how everything was and some of the exciting things that take place at this restaurant. I'm very big on customer service and I really appreciated how attentive, accommodating, and genuine everyone was throughout the night, even with there being so much people there. I will definitely come back again!

First time here and it is worth every penny. We will definitely be back for the vibes, ambiance, service and exceptional food. We had a craving for good quality steak and the Americano served us with cooked to the right temperature for our Hanger steak with chimichurri and Tenderloin with Sherry Dijon, those sauces paired with the steak were immaculate. Before we got to the steak, we started with the shrimp cocktail that fresh with a cute bottle of Tabasco lol and the Burrata was melted to your taste buds to go along with the tomato jam and prosciutto (gluten free, they have options for a good handful of dishes too!). Side note: We also loved speakeasy Sunday, half off on drinks! Yes, please we will back on Sundays!

The Americano is a favorite! This place is such a vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. Martini hour, restaurant week specials, and overall killer menu! Inside gives off a typical cocktail bar vibe, a bit rustic but upscale with a modern flare which is perfect for after work drinks, date night, or simply a good meal. Looking forward to exploring more of their menu!

What an awesome spot. We came here for brunch on Sunday and came back to check out their Martini Happy Hour. The food was really good, from the presentation to the actual taste. The cocktails were specially designed and made to perfection. The staff were knowledgeable about items on the menu and made great recommendations. The mixologist was on point with making exceptional cocktails. Americano is definitely worth the visit.

Dined at the Americano during Stamford Restaurant Week and had a lovely experience. The servers here are super attentive -- we received 10/10 hospitality which made our experience so pleasant! They have a wide variety of food options on their menu. I tried the salmon and my husband had the sous vide chicken. We also started off with a French onion soup which was amazingg! Probably the best I've ever had. Everything we had tasted really great. However I do wished they browned or roasted the chicken a bit more. It was a bit light for my personal preference. Other than that we enjoyed our whole experience and will definitely be back to try more of their menu options.

Great place to walk from over by the Marriott hotels. We had the burger, Gnocchi and some great cocktails. We sat at the bar and Steven was our bartender and was very friendly and had great food and drink recommendations. Hoping to be back.

We started with the charcuterie which was a bit overpriced. The Nashville Chicken Sandwich was good but wasn't Nashville hot. The fries were very good and topped with old bay seasoning. Ended with a tiramisu espresso martini which was a very good way to end the meal. The staff were very welcoming.

Really cute place with a nice drink selection and variety of menu options. The corned beef hash was good but could have done without the hollandaise. The check took a while to come but overall service was good and friendly!

Was super excited to try this new spot and was unfortunately disappointed. The decor is beautiful and the bar has ample space to fit a crowd on a busy night. However, I got served the wrong drink twice after receiving slow service at the bar. The two pasta dishes we got were awful. The pasta was bizarrely thick which I have never experienced before, along with the fact that it was barely cooked. The portions were ridiculously small considering the high price of each dish. Hopefully, the restaurant can improve with practice because I really wanted to like it.

Americano, where have you been all my life? More truthfully, why had it taken so long for me to enjoy this incredible happy hour? After having a great lunch (super lunch specials) here several weeks ago, our amazing server, Luis, said we needed to come back for the happy hour. That happened this past Saturday. COME ON! Being a connoisseur of fine happy hours they have THE BEST I have encountered this year. Our bartender Jay shook up an incredible $and perfect $10 martini (and the "well" liquor is no joke") plus $10 oysters, mussels and sticky wings I am a disciple

From the moment we walked in, the hospitality from the staff, and chef made us feel right at home. We started drinks with a Strawberry Cosmo and a Paloma Spritz. Both refreshing and dangerously strong in the best way possible. For apps we came for the Crispy Duck on Sushi Rice, and as someone who usually scared to eat duck, this completely changed my mind. The duck was unbelievably crispy, similar to crispy prosciutto, and paired perfectly with their special sauce. We also had to do the Crab Cake was another standout, especially with the house-made Green Goddess dressing. The chef even came out to explain how he prepares the sauce, which made the experience feel much more special. For the entrees, we ordered the Linguine Fra Diavolo, loaded with perfectly cooked shrimp and the perfect amount of spice, alongside the Steak & Chips finished with a truffle vinaigrette. Somehow, every single dish just kept getting better. And because we clearly hadn't eaten enough, we had to try the Bacon Mac & Cheese Balls with smoked tomato sauce. I honestly could've eaten an entire plate of those. To end our meal, the chef surprised us with his Duck Egg Brownie, and it was one of the softest, fudgiest brownies I've ever had. A 2 hour train ride sounds crazy... but Flinders Lane made it absolutely worth the trip. I can't wait to come back to try the kangaroo!

After doing a little research, I came across The Wheel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Finding the entrance was a little confusing at first, and parking took a minute to figure out, but I eventually learned you can park for free at the Village next door, which made things much easier. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and shown to the outdoor seating area. Walking through the restaurant, I was impressed by how beautiful the property is. It is incredibly spacious, sits right on the water, and even has an additional outdoor area next door where you can relax away from the restaurant. The views alone make this place worth visiting. Our server, Freddy, was fantastic. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. Now onto the food. To start, we shared the Breakfast Pizza, topped with smoked bacon, crispy potatoes, roasted garlic, mozzarella, two eggs, and fresh cracked black pepper. It was a fun twist on brunch and had great flavor. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with cheddar grits, wild caught shrimp, a poached egg, and chimichurri. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich looked outstanding. Made with organic Murray's chicken, hot honey, coleslaw, and dill pickles, it came with fries and disappeared quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled hanger steak, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chimichurri. The steak had excellent flavor, although I ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It was my only real issue with the meal. We also tried a couple of cocktails. The Orange Crush was refreshing and perfect for brunch, while the bourbon, Aperol, peach, Earl Grey, and lemon cocktail was smooth, balanced, and equally enjoyable. Dessert was the perfect ending. The Take 5 Sundae with peanut butter crunch, pretzels, whipped cream, vanilla bean caramel, chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge was absolutely delicious. We also had the Tres Leches, topped with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream, which was light, moist, and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious. Aside from the slightly confusing entrance, parking, and my overcooked steak, the entire experience was outstanding. The waterfront setting, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and quality food make this one of the best brunch spots in Stamford. I will definitely be back. Next time I already have my eye on the Banana Buttermilk Bread, Village Breakfast, Braised Short Rib Hash, Wheel House Burger, Margherita Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for myself. For drinks, I want to try the Charred Citrus, One in a Melon, and the Orange Crush. And I definitely need to save room for the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Favorite dish selections per voting of the table, were the brussel sprouts (~$20), calamari (~$20), and NY strip (~$50) specifically because of the tallow fried rice that laid underneath the steak! Although we enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, the service was quite slow. Our waitstaff didn't come by very often to take drink orders, refill water glasses, or follow up. It didn't seem too busy that evening, so we were a bit surprised. We stayed in the dining room on this trip, but hope to come back for a nice evening when the outside patio area is available.
