Atmosphere was authentic, server was nice and attentive, food was great and so was the Smithwicks! Will definitely be back!

I really love this place - the food, the atmosphere, everything is normally great! Giving three stars because I wanted to place a takeout order today and was told that they aren't allowed to accept takeout orders over the phone - online or in person only. I actually tried to order online before calling and the pickup time couldn't be changed from "tomorrow at 4pm" and it's been like that for the last week so I finally decided to just call. My lunch break doesn't allow for the travel time plus having to order and wait in person for it to be ready. Huge bummer & inconvenience! Hoping this changes!!

So Tigin's has been ranked as the Irish pub in Connecticut, and it is certainly easy to see why. With charming decor and cozy seating alcoves, it feels as as if you're stepping back into 19th century Ireland. Thus, Tigin's stands as the ideal spot to enjoy a delicious pint of Guinness, perfectly poured of course, or the place to catch up on the latest game. Equally as excellent, Tigin's bar menu offers yummy options to round out your afternoon happy hour. We went with a round of slides that simply dripping in succulent goodness. Maybe it was the Hawaiian bun or the Coleman's mustard, but the fact that our slider order came with only three little beauties made for some tense moments as my bestie and hungrily eyed up the last slider. The only solution to avoid a happy hour war... order another round of sliders! After sliders, we chowed down on some crispy chips (fries). Tigin's offers two styles of the babies, fat and thin. Believe me, fellow foodies, when I say that in this case fat is where it's at. The bigger crisp where defiantly crispier and seemed to really embrace some of their signature dipping sauces. Ask your bartender to guide you on this sauce selection, and be warned, occasionally, they have curry sauce.. Yum! Again, hands down, this is an amazing Irish pub, one that is sure to become your pot of gold at the end of a long day.

We hosted roughly 55 people and utilized the entire restaurant for our private event (restaurant buyout). From the onset, Ross and Eric (Mgr. + Assistant Mgr.) were incredibly friendly, responsive to all my questions via email, and agreed to meet not once, but TWICE in-person to ensure all details were accounted for, and that our requests would be accommodated. The event ran smoothly because of their professionalism and attention to detail. During the event, the kitchen, bar, and wait staff were incredibly attentive, kind, friendly, and honestly felt like part of the party the entire time. Our family and friends raved about the entire experience, including the service, the food, and the configuration of the space. We left smiling from ear-to-ear, and are incredibly grateful to everyone at Flinder's for helping to make our baby shower a great success!

We tried the Kangaroo (my first time) and it was grilled to perfection. The Wagyu Tartare was was one on the best I've had. The waffles were reminiscent of ones in Belgium and the dessert especially the rhubarb special was excellent. The restaurant itself was bright and not too loud. The service was top notch attentive. Shout out to Sean!

We were kindly…read moregreeted and although there were not anymore seats at the bar (where happy hour takes place), the manager was so kind enough to still honor us with the happy hour selection from a table instead. By the time we were ready to start ordering, a few seats opened up and our sweet waiter took care of cleaning the area first before we switched over to the bar. The overall ambiance of this restaurant was family friendly with a holiday feel. We ordered cocktails, which were delicious! Our appetizers (sticky wings = 10/10, omg the sauce!; shrimp bao buns, and some meatballs) kept us more than full enough that we decided to hold off on ordering anything else for the evening. Before we left, our original waiter asked how everything was and some of the exciting things that take place at this restaurant. I'm very big on customer service and I really appreciated how attentive, accommodating, and genuine everyone was throughout the night, even with there being so much people there. I will definitely come back again!

Got there early ahead of our reservation to get drinks at the bar. I ordered a dirty vodka martini and my husband got a gin martini. They got the order wrong and gave us both dirty martinis. I was briefly excited by them asking if I wanted blue cheese olives but even those were dry since you can see them on the bar pre-skewered, sitting in a container, not in brine. We finished our drinks and then moved to a table. We were not given water when seated. Placed an order for another round of drinks then (smartly) made the decision to order a mix of apps first before our entrees. Placed an order for another round of drinks, got the gnocchi, dumplings & wings. Food hit our table before our drinks arrived and we had to ask for water. Now onto the actual food - sadly, nothing good to say about it: - Sticky Gochujang Wings: well fried wing but WAY too much vinegar in the sauce not at all a Gochujang flavor - Sweet Chili Dumplings: Panda Express sauce a cloyingly sweet. Would expect more from a place like this. Also the filling of the dumpling tasted like it had curry seasoning? Curry + sweet chili are not flavors that mix - at least not in this dish. - Gnocchi: The sauce was broken/so grainy and gritty and the gnocchi itself SO DENSE. After this bad show, it was a no-brainer that we were gonna take our night and appetites elsewhere. So disappointing. Feels like they have a lot of service issues. Staff felt new even though they've been open for a year or so now. Unless some big changes happen, I have no interest in coming back.
