We went back another time and it was not as good. The service was lacking. We waited almost 10 minutes to be acknowledged, and service was very slow from there. They ran out of two specials, of course one that I ordered. The waitress did not put in the order for kale salad WITHOUT dressing, so we got it with dressing. Absolutely loved this place. Came for the first time tonight and it was lively for a Tuesday and the staff were super attentive and friendly. Everyone works hard and refills the water regularly--love. The decor is simple but compliments the cute pond outside. We sat in the dining room and I loved the giant light fixtures. It wasn't trying too hard or flashy, which I appreciate. We split the heirloom tomatoes salad and it was delicious and the perfect summer dish. I ordered the branzino and loved the lemon sauce. I think the potatoes could be cooked longer and more roasted as well as the broccoli (a little hard) but everything was tasty and I appreciate real olive oil and no seed oils on my food. My mom ordered the burger and asked to sub out the fries and she got to choose from a salad and picked the Cobb which was so delicious, thick pieces of bacon. I ate half. She raved about the burger as the best in town which is very high praise because she's the pickiest eater I know. The portions were so generous and the prices are great. Not to mention they have a Lady Wong patisserie inside and you can order to go, which we did out of fullness and it was absolutely amazing. Refreshing yet decadent. The entire restaurant exceeded my expectations because of the previous places in that location. Driving thru town we came across this little gem. Brand new. Packed on a Wednesday night with locals and tourists. Greeted warmly by the host and got a table right away. Had a fine martini with nice jumbo olives. Only had one since had to get on the road. The menu was eclectic and had so many options it was hard to choose. We settle on a fine tuna poke bowl stuffed with tuna and all the ingredients you need. I had a breaded chicken schnitzel, three perfectly cooked pieces under a bed of ceasar salad with a delicious spicy take on the dressing. Even at 27 dollars which seemed high, it well worth it! Wow. I need the recipe how they made the chicken! I've never been able too get such a fine crust. Had to have desert for a little sweet and had the hazelnut crepe cake. Wtf! Amazing. Be prepared - the menu is extensive! Unfortunately, our experience was overshadowed by the service. We felt rushed throughout the meal, with attempts to clear plates while our forks were halfway in our mouths. When asked if there was a time limit to dining, we were told it was a push to seat other guests (We spent about 2 hours dining/drinks). Dining out should feel relaxed, not hurried. Really amazed by their menu, which is contemporary american but has infusions of asian culture in their cocktails and food. I tried their moonlit whisper cocktail, which had hints of earl grey tea and lychee. Also, their chicken milanese was fantastic, very moist, yet crispy and flavorful. Then we tried their dessert, pandan matcha tart, which was sooo good. Just sad that they ran out of the others. I finally made it to La Bistro and was extremely happy with my experience. The staff were friendly and we never felt forgotten. My group had cocktails and mocktails, several appetizers, mains, dessert and coffees. All the food was great, but we especially loved the Tiger Mom Chicken Dumplings and velvety hummus. For entrees we ate the Steak Yakisoba, Thai Chicken, and Pork Carnitas - all delicious. And for dessert we had coffee and delicious hazelnut crepe cake which I dreamt about at night. I love the addition of La Bistro to the area and will definitely be eating there again soon. Final thought - This is not a large restaurant, but the owners have made outdoor and indoor seating seem connected by the large windows, and I felt very connected to the people sitting outside, while I was inside. Not only is there food terrible they charge a take out charge and don't tell you. You won't know unless you look at their receipt. Staff is not knowledgeable and absolutely question if something is marked vegan or gluten free! I have found most items are wrongly labeled. read more

I took my Wife here for Dinner while we were working in town and so glad I chose La Bistro. We are not easily impressed as we mostly cook at home and honestly most restaurants are overpriced and not really worth it leaving us disappointed. La Bistro is a BIG exception and worth every dollar! The service was warm, welcoming and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious and creative. I had the Schnitzel "Caesar" and I had to stop myself from ordering another...had cappuccinos and a slice of chocolate cake to end the evening perfectly. This has never happened to me before. BARTENDER BULLcrap I met a few friends at the bar. I was the last to arrive and ordered one drink. I asked for my check in a hurry. I signed it, but then realized he had charged me for everyone's drink. When I pointed out his mistake and said I didn't want to pay for it anyone's drink, he turned to the group and announced that I paid for their drink. (Which made them think I was treating) Now I'm on the spot. I told him that he was embarrassing me. To which she told me to get over it and just ask my friends for the money. It cost me $70 (no tip) for one glass of wine. Why did it never occur to him to correct his error and not embarrass me? He probably thought no one would find out how extremely unprofessional that was. read more

We've dined here several times , local restaurant, we live in town. We've ordered the steak, seems they aren't capable to capture how its prepared, even though asked. We brought this up to their attention the first time, paid of course and tipped appropriately. Tonight's dinner, steak was well done, again. I spoke to the manager when leaving, asking if I could call the next day about the dinner. Miguel, was dismissive, and said you can tell me now. I told him about the dinner and he responded, if you're not happy with the steak, you can let us know and we will produce another. We were dining with others, and was reminded that the kitchen will close in 20 minutes, as it was the last seating at 9pm. Why would you ask the diner the temperature of the steak, if you're not able to produce? No one wants to deal with the awkwardness of returning an improperly prepared order and making the rest of your party wait. I hope this isn't ownership's view on how to handle customer's concerns as it wasn't handled appropriately by Miguel. read more

The noise was so awful. We had to yell at each other across the table. The people at the next booth were actually screaming. Having said that, the service was pretty good, although the waiter couldn't hear us when we ordered and he didn't have any real knowledge of what was on the menu.
