    Steak Yakisoba "Wok Grilled Noodles"

I had a lovely dinner with a colleague at La Bistro. The menu is super creative - I would try a lot of these dishes. I opted for the Steak Yakisoba and enjoyed the crisp peas and the vibrant pepper flavor. The joint was packed on a Tuesday night, this place looks like a big hit. I wish I could have tried a cocktail, appetizer, perhaps another time.

Absolutely loved this place. Came for the first time tonight and it was lively for a Tuesday and the staff were super attentive and friendly. Everyone works hard and refills the water regularly--love. The decor is simple but compliments the cute pond outside. We sat in the dining room and I loved the giant light fixtures. It wasn't trying too hard or flashy, which I appreciate. We split the heirloom tomatoes salad and it was delicious and the perfect summer dish. I ordered the branzino and loved the lemon sauce. I think the potatoes could be cooked longer and more roasted as well as the broccoli (a little hard) but everything was tasty and I appreciate real olive oil and no seed oils on my food. My mom ordered the burger and asked to sub out the fries and she got to choose from a salad and picked the Cobb which was so delicious, thick pieces of bacon. I ate half. She raved about the burger as the best in town which is very high praise because she's the pickiest eater I know. The portions were so generous and the prices are great. Not to mention they have a Lady Wong patisserie inside and you can order to go, which we did out of fullness and it was absolutely amazing. Refreshing yet decadent. The entire restaurant exceeded my expectations because of the previous places in that location. We will definitely be back and I can't wait to try more menu items... my mom will be getting the burger again though

What an amazing addition the downtown Cos Cob. This place checks all the boxes - incredible menu, fabulous space, great bar, and interesting specials. A must try.

Driving thru town we came across this little gem. Brand new. Packed on a Wednesday night with locals and tourists. Greeted warmly by the host and got a table right away. Had a fine martini with nice jumbo olives. Only had one since had to get on the road. The menu was eclectic and had so many options it was hard to choose. We settle on a fine tuna poke bowl stuffed with tuna and all the ingredients you need. I had a breaded chicken schnitzel, three perfectly cooked pieces under a bed of ceasar salad with a delicious spicy take on the dressing. Even at 27 dollars which seemed high, it well worth it! Wow. I need the recipe how they made the chicken! I've never been able too get such a fine crust. Had to have desert for a little sweet and had the hazelnut crepe cake. Wtf! Amazing. Wish them much success in the coming years.

Really amazed by their menu, which is contemporary american but has infusions of asian culture in their cocktails and food. I tried their moonlit whisper cocktail, which had hints of earl grey tea and lychee. Also, their chicken milanese was fantastic, very moist, yet crispy and flavorful. Then we tried their dessert, pandan matcha tart, which was sooo good. Just sad that they ran out of the others. The service here was excellent and they were so accommodating - it was really appreciated. I'll definitely be back, esp to try the other drinks and desserts

Whipped Organic Hummus and Tiger Mom Chicken Dumplings

I finally made it to La Bistro and was extremely happy with my experience. The staff were friendly and we never felt forgotten. My group had cocktails and mocktails, several appetizers, mains, dessert and coffees. All the food was great, but we especially loved the Tiger Mom Chicken Dumplings and velvety hummus. For entrees we ate the Steak Yakisoba, Thai Chicken, and Pork Carnitas - all delicious. And for dessert we had coffee and delicious hazelnut crepe cake which I dreamt about at night. I love the addition of La Bistro to the area and will definitely be eating there again soon. Final thought - This is not a large restaurant, but the owners have made outdoor and indoor seating seem connected by the large windows, and I felt very connected to the people sitting outside, while I was inside. It's a nice touch, and made me feel like I was in a larger space.

Such a varied menu with lots of pescatarian and vegan options. Really something for everyone. Food was delish and service was good. Water glasses always being refilled. Was good ambience and has outdoor dining for the warmer weather. Can't wait to try more dishes.

Cauliflower dish (sorry, can't remember its other ingredients). It was absolutely delicious.

I had planned on ordering the Teriyaki glazed filet of salmon, fried rice, stir fry veggies but, after talking with Carlo (GM), I opted for the Triple D (yes, that Triple D) and was not disappointed. The pastrami was lean, coleslaw tangy, rye bread lightly toasted, and served with a choice of sides (I went with the fries which were crispy and NOT greasy). Portions were large, our server/s were attentive but not bothersome and we were not rushed. Suitable for couples, families, and even a solo diner, Bosco's is a welcome retreat from a busy workday, a hot summer day at the beach, or any night when you don't feel like cooking. The menu focuses on a nice variety of dishes with a wide range of prices and many items pay homage to other former hometown favorites like Baang and Sundown. I highly recommend Bosco's and cannot wait to go back!

We had the private dining room because we were a party of 10. Very nice menu and an excellent wine list but on the pricey side. For mains. my wife ordered the scallops with mushrooms and asparagus risotto. She truly enjoyed it. I opted for the herb crusted lamb loin since I am a rack of lamb lover. It came with farro and sautéed spinach. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Others in the group raved about the pork chop. For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache and chocolate cookie crumble. Much denser than a regular mouse, very good. Also the brown butter creme Brule. I was meeting up with a few friends I hadn't seen in what felt like forever, so I wanted to find a…read morespot that would make the occasion special. After doing a little research, I came across The Wheel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Finding the entrance was a little confusing at first, and parking took a minute to figure out, but I eventually learned you can park for free at the Village next door, which made things much easier. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and shown to the outdoor seating area. Walking through the restaurant, I was impressed by how beautiful the property is. It is incredibly spacious, sits right on the water, and even has an additional outdoor area next door where you can relax away from the restaurant. The views alone make this place worth visiting. Our server, Freddy, was fantastic. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. Now onto the food. To start, we shared the Breakfast Pizza, topped with smoked bacon, crispy potatoes, roasted garlic, mozzarella, two eggs, and fresh cracked black pepper. It was a fun twist on brunch and had great flavor. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with cheddar grits, wild caught shrimp, a poached egg, and chimichurri. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich looked outstanding. Made with organic Murray's chicken, hot honey, coleslaw, and dill pickles, it came with fries and disappeared quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled hanger steak, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chimichurri. The steak had excellent flavor, although I ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It was my only real issue with the meal. We also tried a couple of cocktails. The Orange Crush was refreshing and perfect for brunch, while the bourbon, Aperol, peach, Earl Grey, and lemon cocktail was smooth, balanced, and equally enjoyable. Dessert was the perfect ending. The Take 5 Sundae with peanut butter crunch, pretzels, whipped cream, vanilla bean caramel, chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge was absolutely delicious. We also had the Tres Leches, topped with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream, which was light, moist, and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious. Aside from the slightly confusing entrance, parking, and my overcooked steak, the entire experience was outstanding. The waterfront setting, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and quality food make this one of the best brunch spots in Stamford. I will definitely be back. Next time I already have my eye on the Banana Buttermilk Bread, Village Breakfast, Braised Short Rib Hash, Wheel House Burger, Margherita Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for myself. For drinks, I want to try the Charred Citrus, One in a Melon, and the Orange Crush. And I definitely need to save room for the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Favorite dish selections per voting of the table, were the brussel sprouts (~$20), calamari (~$20), and NY strip (~$50) specifically because of the tallow fried rice that laid underneath the steak! Although we enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, the service was quite slow. Our waitstaff didn't come by very often to take drink orders, refill water glasses, or follow up. It didn't seem too busy that evening, so we were a bit surprised. We stayed in the dining room on this trip, but hope to come back for a nice evening when the outside patio area is available.
