The environment of the establishment was ok. Service was not good at all! The waiter barely checked in on our table the whole time we were there, we were there during a non busy time or day. My husband and I came to Greenwich for the day, with our two children aged 2.5 and 11 months. our children, were not loud, but they are kids. The wait staff could not wait to get us out. They took my 2.5 year old food away before she was done. My husband and I just got our food and they asked us if we wanted the check and to bag our food up. we declined and paid the bill. which was not cheap at all. We were excited to try this restaurant with our friends and really loved the service and the food & drink. Particular standouts were the lobster rolls, rib eye, swordfish & pork chop. The El Chapo drink was wonderful as were the Espresso Martini's. Our server made great recommendations and was very timely, friendly and helpful as was most of the staff. We were looking forward to returning but that's when the night took an unfortunate turn. Five minutes after we had received our bill, the manager came over and said people were waiting for our table and we had to leave. Our reservation was at 6 pm and it was a few minutes after 8 pm when we received the bill which turned out to be over $600 with tip. We had already put our cards down to pay when the manager came over. We found this incredibly rude and my husband spoke to him about it. To his credit, he did end up apologizing to us but it really affected our experience there. This was our first time at East End. Overall, I thought it was good but not great. Selections were diverse and interesting but my pork chops were slightly overdone (and thus, dry) and while I liked my meatball appetizer, it was good but not special. My friend ate the tuna tartare appetizer which was excellent, and hit a home run with the short ribs. Dessert was quite good and their wines by the glass were fine. Great spot for celebrating a special occasion with delicious food and drinks. Each dish was beautifully plated and tasted even better. For appetizers, we tried the Kung Pao Brussels sprouts, the portobello mushroom fries, the fluke tartare, and the burrata. The fluke tartare, which comes with avocado, yuzu, and sriracha on a bed of crispy sushi rice, was a crowd favorite. It tasted super fresh and left me wanting more. I also really loved the burrata, which comes with roasted beets and blood orange wedges and is drizzled with burnt honey and sprinkled with aleppo pepper -- a very nice combination of ingredients. For my entrée, I had the spicy lobster spaghetti, which comes with chunks of lobster, cherry tomatoes, baby arugula, and Calabrian chili flakes. It was deliciously spicy. For dessert, I tried the Nutella truffles, which were coated in hazelnut chunks. Not overly sweet, they were a nice way to finish an amazing meal. I also tried their fall red sangria. I really liked this restaurant East End in Greenwich and overall the staff is lovely especially the head manager Chris. Chris is warm, professional and treats you with respect. On the other hand I received arrogant and hostile service from Pablo the bartender at East End on two separate occasions. One occasion I asked Pablo for a seat at the bar and he greeted me with hostility and just basically pointed at the bar section and stated "Not sure were you can sit as it's busy and it was said in a rough and aggressive tone". On a second occasion I was at East End the other night and ordered two Aperol Spritz cocktails. I merely asked the bartender Pablo for a touch of Aperol and in the end he charged me for two shots of Aperol. His answer in a rude fashion was " What would you like me to do" I felt like I was charged for the Aperol shots so he could extort a higher tip and the principle of that isn't morally correct. I frequent high end restaurants like Cipriani and Sant Ambroeus and many restaurants in the city and not once was I charged for asking for a touch of aperol in my drink. In light of this I doubt I will ever return again to East End because Pablo treated me like a second class citizen. Every customer that walks through your establishment should be treated with respect. read more

My son and I were waiting in line at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk waiting to meet Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul - the Dos hombres spokesdudes and stars of Breaking Bad. The line was a thousand deep or more and we were told they ran out of bottles. A woman in line whispered to us that Eastend bar in Greenwich would have them over and it wasn't being advertised. I called ahead and the whispering was true! I asked my father-in-law to go have lunch there with my son early - they had appetizers and a sandwich each. Nobody was there except them (it was SUPER early afternoon). The owner and waitstaff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and courteous. The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Bryan and Aaron arrived a little earlier I think than expected - so my son and father-in-law just kind of shot the breeze with them and the owner. The bar and restaurant have an open welcoming space and I arrived 20 minutes later for bottomless free drinks sponsored by Dos Hombres and partnered with Eastend! The bartender and Aaron Paul transformed the mescal into delicious libations. Bryan Cranston was hilarious and played a joke on the security and pretended he was in a bar fight. The security guard rushed in and everyone had a giggle. (Except the security guard) I'd come back here again and again (and have) - I highly recommend Eastend for food, drinks, and special events! read more

Food was fantastic-- it was a good arrangement of options both in flavor and lighter fare versus heavier entrees. Came here for a quick bite after some shopping, one of the sales associates recommended the place. The place was just the right amount of packed for me and the ambiance was cool. The food was good! However I wish they had a larger selection of sides, like at least some mash. My steak was cooked medium (I'm more of a medium well type of girl), but my waiter suggested for me to try it medium. I did and I must say it was cook perfectly! It was very juicy and flavorful and it was accompanied by avocado and fries. These both paired nicely with the steak. This is one of my favorite lunch spots because the menu is extensive with a variety of delicious options. You're bound to find something that you'll be satisfied with no matter what you're in the mood for. We started with the tuna tartare, this was my first time trying this menu item and it did not disappoint. If you're a crispy sushi rice addict like me, definitely order this! It was perfect to split between 2 people as an appetizer. The tuna tasted very fresh and each layer added a dimension of flavor. For my entrée, I had the Shrimp Tacos. I highly recommend this dish because the miniature tortillas made for the perfect amount of food for lunch that was not overly-filling (although the rice and beans portion could have been smaller). These simple tacos had crunchy chopped cabbage, lightly grilled shrimp, & were topped with queso fresco. On the side, there was salsa verde, pico de Gallo, & rice and beans. Very light and clean tasting! Will definitely order again. The burger my brother got was cooked a juicy medium-rare, and he said the green tomatoes were his favorite part. The fries were crispy on the outside & soft on the inside! The Eastend Burger is definitely a safe option to order because it is consistently one of the best burgers. Eastend is definitely on the pricier side, but it is a great lunch and dinner spot because it never misses it's mark. Their service is great and the food comes out quick. Stopped in mid-afternoon here on an unusually warm day in November to have a drink and some oysters outside. Loved the cucumber-chile ceviche paired with the cocktail sauce that came with the oysters. Absolutely delicious meal !, started off with the tuna tartar as well as the squash toast. Both were excellent starters. I had the Ricotta Cavatelli with wild mushrooms,black truffle purée. The Cavatelli were cooked perfectly and the truffle sauce was excellent. My wife had the Chicken Paillard which she loved as well. They have a extensive cocktail menu as well as hard to find Bourbon. Phenomenal food - what a gem on Gwich Avenue. Atmosphere is dark, hip, and fun! Pair that with a great cocktail and a plate of to die for French fries and you have me won over. Service is extremely attentive and the food is clearly prepared with care. The burger, hanger steak, and rock shrimp pasta are some of my favorites but the hidden fjord salmon takes the cake as being SO well made. Delicious couscous under to create amazing flavor. This restaurant lives up to its counterparts (owned by same group as Mediterraneo, Terra, etc) and is a beautiful spot to bring a visiting friend or family. Finding good food in Greenwich isn't particularly hard, as the town is considered one of the wealthiest communities on the east coast. However, Eastend truly takes the cake with its food, its drink and it's model during COVID-19. Some indoor dining is available though most flock to the sectioned-off parts of Greenwich Ave where Eastend is situated. A long wait is typical for any of the restaurants in this area (especially on the weekend) but Eastend allows your party to order a cocktail outdoors while you wait. First, I ordered the Rose Sangria which featured combier and pear vodka. For dinner, I ordered the ricotta cavatelli which featured mushrooms and truffle sauce, paired with the aviation; a gin drink with st germain. The service was nice and the outdoor experience was perfect for a cool summer night with music and lighting. read more
