While visiting my cousin we stopped here for a drink and a few appies. She comes here regularly and knew the staff. They have a lovely outdoor patio in front and a bar area and plenty of tables/booths inside. *It's very clean and spacious. Our server Irvin was incredibly nice and attentive. We ordered margaritas, Prosecco, balsamic glazed brussel sprouts, the Mediterranean plate, burrata w/prosciutto and fries. Everything was on point! So yummy!!! *Plenty of metered street parking *Menu is pricey but good *No Happy Hour

We were excited to try this restaurant with our friends and really loved the service and the food & drink. Particular standouts were the lobster rolls, rib eye, swordfish & pork chop. The El Chapo drink was wonderful as were the Espresso Martini's. Our server made great recommendations and was very timely, friendly and helpful as was most of the staff. We were looking forward to returning but that's when the night took an unfortunate turn. Five minutes after we had received our bill, the manager came over and said people were waiting for our table and we had to leave. Our reservation was at 6 pm and it was a few minutes after 8 pm when we received the bill which turned out to be over $600 with tip. We had already put our cards down to pay when the manager came over. We found this incredibly rude and my husband spoke to him about it. To his credit, he did end up apologizing to us but it really affected our experience there. We had wonderful food, drink & service but all we could talk about on the way home was the disrespectful treatment we experienced. Thus, we are not sure we are returning here.

    Fluke tartare

Great spot for celebrating a special occasion with delicious food and drinks. Each dish was beautifully plated and tasted even better. For appetizers, we tried the Kung Pao Brussels sprouts, the portobello mushroom fries, the fluke tartare, and the burrata. The fluke tartare, which comes with avocado, yuzu, and sriracha on a bed of crispy sushi rice, was a crowd favorite. It tasted super fresh and left me wanting more. I also really loved the burrata, which comes with roasted beets and blood orange wedges and is drizzled with burnt honey and sprinkled with aleppo pepper -- a very nice combination of ingredients. For my entrée, I had the spicy lobster spaghetti, which comes with chunks of lobster, cherry tomatoes, baby arugula, and Calabrian chili flakes. It was deliciously spicy. For dessert, I tried the Nutella truffles, which were coated in hazelnut chunks. Not overly sweet, they were a nice way to finish an amazing meal. I also tried their fall red sangria. I wasn't crazy about it, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I went on a Monday night and the restaurant was pretty empty. The street parking right in front of the restaurant was taken, but we were able to find a spot at a reasonable walking distance.

We had the Pork Chop, Sea Bass and the Creme Brule for desert. Everything was well prepared. The portions were decent sized. Good service. Swanky. Very good food. Good choice and day of the week.

    Breaking Bad Eastend Style

My son and I were waiting in line at Stew Leonard's in Norwalk waiting to meet Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul - the Dos hombres spokesdudes and stars of Breaking Bad. The line was a thousand deep or more and we were told they ran out of bottles. A woman in line whispered to us that Eastend bar in Greenwich would have them over and it wasn't being advertised. I called ahead and the whispering was true! I asked my father-in-law to go have lunch there with my son early - they had appetizers and a sandwich each. Nobody was there except them (it was SUPER early afternoon). The owner and waitstaff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and courteous. The food was fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Bryan and Aaron arrived a little earlier I think than expected - so my son and father-in-law just kind of shot the breeze with them and the owner. The bar and restaurant have an open welcoming space and I arrived 20 minutes later for bottomless free drinks sponsored by Dos Hombres and partnered with Eastend! The bartender and Aaron Paul transformed the mescal into delicious libations. Bryan Cranston was hilarious and played a joke on the security and pretended he was in a bar fight. The security guard rushed in and everyone had a giggle. (Except the security guard) I'd come back here again and again (and have) - I highly recommend Eastend for food, drinks, and special events!

Drinks are well prepared and a good variety of options to go with any taste buds. The food pairings are very tasty and go very well with the drink options as well. My burger was perfectly cooked and tasted amazing! The service is excellent, from the front seating service to bar and food servers all well knowledgeable and great personality. Beautiful located in Greenwich CT downtown, surrounded by amazing shopping, Eastend will not disappoint.

We stopped in for a mid-day bite this afternoon. We were pleasantly surprised to be welcomed by a jazz trio playing for the entirety of our meal! Food was fantastic-- it was a good arrangement of options both in flavor and lighter fare versus heavier entrees. I've had a lot of fried chicken sandwiches in my time but this one was truly upscale and delicious (I wasn't sure I'd like the pimento cheese on it but it was an excellent addition). I would highly recommend!

I was meeting up with a few friends I hadn't seen in what felt like forever, so I wanted to find a…read morespot that would make the occasion special. After doing a little research, I came across The Wheel, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. I made a reservation for Sunday brunch. Finding the entrance was a little confusing at first, and parking took a minute to figure out, but I eventually learned you can park for free at the Village next door, which made things much easier. Once I arrived, I was immediately greeted and shown to the outdoor seating area. Walking through the restaurant, I was impressed by how beautiful the property is. It is incredibly spacious, sits right on the water, and even has an additional outdoor area next door where you can relax away from the restaurant. The views alone make this place worth visiting. Our server, Freddy, was fantastic. He was friendly, personable, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the menu, answer questions, and offer recommendations, which made the experience even better. Now onto the food. To start, we shared the Breakfast Pizza, topped with smoked bacon, crispy potatoes, roasted garlic, mozzarella, two eggs, and fresh cracked black pepper. It was a fun twist on brunch and had great flavor. We also ordered the Shrimp and Grits, made with cheddar grits, wild caught shrimp, a poached egg, and chimichurri. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich looked outstanding. Made with organic Murray's chicken, hot honey, coleslaw, and dill pickles, it came with fries and disappeared quickly. For my entrée, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, featuring grilled hanger steak, two eggs, breakfast potatoes, and chimichurri. The steak had excellent flavor, although I ordered it medium and it came out closer to well done. It was my only real issue with the meal. We also tried a couple of cocktails. The Orange Crush was refreshing and perfect for brunch, while the bourbon, Aperol, peach, Earl Grey, and lemon cocktail was smooth, balanced, and equally enjoyable. Dessert was the perfect ending. The Take 5 Sundae with peanut butter crunch, pretzels, whipped cream, vanilla bean caramel, chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge was absolutely delicious. We also had the Tres Leches, topped with strawberries and vanilla whipped cream, which was light, moist, and a great way to finish the meal. Overall, everything we ordered was delicious. Aside from the slightly confusing entrance, parking, and my overcooked steak, the entire experience was outstanding. The waterfront setting, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere, and quality food make this one of the best brunch spots in Stamford. I will definitely be back. Next time I already have my eye on the Banana Buttermilk Bread, Village Breakfast, Braised Short Rib Hash, Wheel House Burger, Margherita Pizza, Smoked Salmon Pizza, and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich for myself. For drinks, I want to try the Charred Citrus, One in a Melon, and the Orange Crush. And I definitely need to save room for the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake.

Favorite dish selections per voting of the table, were the brussel sprouts (~$20), calamari (~$20), and NY strip (~$50) specifically because of the tallow fried rice that laid underneath the steak! Although we enjoyed the quality and quantity of food, the service was quite slow. Our waitstaff didn't come by very often to take drink orders, refill water glasses, or follow up. It didn't seem too busy that evening, so we were a bit surprised. We stayed in the dining room on this trip, but hope to come back for a nice evening when the outside patio area is available.

We had the private dining room because we were a party of 10. Very nice menu and an excellent wine list but on the pricey side. Started with crispy Calamari with a lemon caper tartar and a crispy artichoke with lemon aioli, Friese, peppers, and pecorino cheese. Both were very good. For mains. my wife ordered the scallops with mushrooms and asparagus risotto. She truly enjoyed it. I opted for the herb crusted lamb loin since I am a rack of lamb lover. It came with farro and sautéed spinach. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Others in the group raved about the pork chop. For dessert, we tried the chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache and chocolate cookie crumble. Much denser than a regular mouse, very good. Also the brown butter creme Brule. Almost as good as my mine which I got the recipe from a family friend Paul Bocuse.
