Skip this place due to attitude/safety. Good location and fine drinks, but an overall uncomfortable atmosphere. Some of the regular patrons are fast to notice and be abrasive toward any out of town customers like myself. I'm baffled to read that this place is a good "family environment" because I have a friend who was drugged at the bar by a patron there a couple of years back, and when she expressed this to the bartender before leaving, he was dismissive and unhelpful to the dangerous situation. I also experienced rudeness from the bartender while ordering a cocktail, decided not to stay long after that. 4.5 Stars. After snagging the last parking spot in the back lot, I wandered into Two Door not really knowing what to expect regarding their dinner options. A lot of the tables and most of the bar were already filled, which was a good sign for a weeknight. As the bartender set down a menu, he immediately recommended the Thursday Special, chicken parmigiana, which apparently pulls in a regular crowd (A Ha!). Having not eaten that in a long time, it sounded good, especially with a side of ziti and marinara sauce. Eventually he placed a large plate down in front of me and I went to work, quickly understanding why so many people come in for this. Yes, it was certainly tasty, but there was so much chicken I couldn't finish all of it with the pasta and side basket of bread. Almost, but not quite. Love this bar! This is a gem of a place in Greenwich. It's not on Greenwich Ave, which is nice, and it's in the middle of the little village of Byram. The guy who bartends is awesome and he will give you tips on places in the area. They do serve food, but I haven't been able to try it because they run out everytime I go there. I guess they only make a limited amount of one special thing each day, and if it runs out, then you are out of luck. There is a pizza place next door that they will let you bring in food from. The beer is decently priced, and there is a decent selection. They have a lot of seating and just a great vibe. read more

Two door is amazing. They have a really good lunch service weekdays (burgers, grilled sandwiches, fries etc. It's not fancy but just really good honest food cooked to order. Chicken parmigiana on Thursday is a local phenomenon as are the Fish and Chips on Friday night. Both nights sell out fast. This place speaks for itself. I have lived in Greenwich for about 7 years now and I finally tried the chicken parm special on Thursday. I now know what the fuss is about. It was huge and delicious. The bar is a local "dive" bar. It was packed and it was recently featured in an upcoming movie with Jennifer Aniston. I'd like to try some other items from the menu. read more

The food was delicious and a great sized portion. This location was small and homey inside. It reminded me of a log-cabin. There were board games and books to play as well. Lots of locals were present and the bar tender knew what everyone wanted and some patrons even had assigned seats. My only advice would to be to greet newcomers with that same warm spirit because they too can become regulars if they feel very welcome. :) read more

In the neighborhood known as Chickahominy I was a regular some years ago then I moved to Canada - I mean Ridgefield. I miss my friends and the great sandwiches Burgers, Steak wedges & the specials. Spaghetti Pie was an all time favorite, any of Charlie's soups, stuffed peppers, liver & onions, sausage & potatoes, Thursday chicken parm, Friday fish & chips that are better than Galway. The things I miss the most are Chowderfest (the Saturday of NFL wildcard), Halloween costume karaoke party, New Years Day pajama jam. Christmas Eve Party & Tuesday nights when it was just us. Go in with $60 have a good meal drink some hard drinks or one of many beers in bottles or pints & meet some real characters (not the country club set).
