Nice looking place in Wilton center. They have creative burgers and the fries are deceptively good. I came in for lunch and my order was ready quickly. I had the K-town burger which had pickled cucumbers and carrots plus a spicy aioli which was really good. The crunch from the veggies was a perfect compliment to the soft burger and bun. Plus the tang from the pickles and the spice from the aioli really upped the flavor quotient. It wasn't too spicy, but really well flavored. Need to come back and try some of their other burger options!

I stopped for lunch at Press Burger in Wilton recently. Press Burger offers a variety of made to order & specialty burgers, hot dogs, fries, salads, shakes, Coke fountain drinks (self serve), banana pudding and whoopie pies. Similar to a Chipotle, you place your order at the right side of the counter, your food is made behind the glass counter and pay register to the left end. For takeout, I ordered the Single House Burger ($7.99 plus tax) and the Chili Fries ($5.99 plus tax) which was prepared to order and bagged in about 5 minutes. The Single House Burger (on the smaller side) had a moist juicy grilled beef patty (slightly pink inside) topped with melted American cheese, tomato, green leaf lettuce and house sauce on a soft burger bun. The chili fries had golden fried crinkle cut fries topped with zesty chili meat sauce. Both items tasted pretty good! The staff was very friendly and address you by first name during the ordering and completion process.

We were very happy with our meal at Press Burger! Definitely some of the highest quality food from a fast casual restaurant around. We tried each of the hot dogs that were offered on the menu: beef, chicken, and The Farmer's Dog, which is actually a smoked carrot! I was very impressed by the flavor and texture, and thought this was a great option to have on the menu for vegan/vegetarian eaters. The chicken tenders, chicken sandwich, chili, house sauces, milkshakes, and banana pudding were all fantastic!

My husband decided to try this place, as he loves hot dogs despite my warnings about food additives and blah blah. Well, this is a different kind of hot dog! He takes what opportunity he gets to go to Super Duper Weenie! And I can't even fault him. The ingredients are wholesome, the production is perfect, and the atmosphere/ vibe is genuine. What a delight to cozy up to the kitchen and talk with the Celebrated Chef-Owner Gary & his Team; also to connect with "The Regulars", who adore this unique place! My indulgence is a small of the French Fries, and also the weekly variety of house made Clam Chowder. Who knew there are THREE kinds? Having eaten at Super Duper Weenie and experienced the goodness, we are spreading The Word anew. Great Coastal Connecticut Culinary discoveries are where it's at!

Nothing to run for though. I got the Dixie dog $7 which was underwhelming the chili was mid at best and the slaw wasn't even average. The Hot dog had no bite despite being cooked on a griddle. The highlight was the Rhode Island clam chowder and it wasn't the greatest. Plenty of clams but very chewy. The broth was flavored but not exactly the best. This place used to be on Guy's Diner drive in and dives but it has fallen from those standards. Staff seem to have changed as well since those days. The cashier was amazing but that's were the amazement ends. Went in around 3 o'clock, food came out fast. A plus, but let down in quality. Guess some places can't hold the standards they started with.

Before this weekend, I had been once before years ago, and didn't really connect with the hot dogs in the way that others must. When I unexpectedly drove by this weekend and saw they were open, I had to try again. While the hot dog was good (not great or even very good), I continue to be underwhelmed relative to the expectations set by others and I found the experience unnecessarily inefficient and frustrating. When I arrived at 11:40 am, there was no line to order, 2 people were waiting for prior orders in the narrow front room where you order, and there were four people sitting in the narrow dining area who seemed to have their food already. I saw at least 4 different people working, which seemed adequate for the number of customers. I ordered at 11:41. I asked if they make any of their own toppings and I was told they make their own hot relish, but none of the other toppings. So I ordered one hot dog with yellow mustard, and the house red hot relish. The other available toppings, included chili, cheese, kraut, onions, sweet relish, bacon, jalapenos, mayo and dill pickle chips. I didn't get my hot dog until 12:01. So 20 minutes later. In those 20 minutes, they handed out a couple of average looking phone in orders. So it wasn't like they were doing a huge phone-in takeout business either. One of the two people who ordered ahead of me finally said "I have to go. I need a refund." They said they were completing his order so he ended up waiting a couple more minutes. I was equally frustrated with the inability of four people to accomplish so little in 20 minutes. I was there long enough to read a story they have on the wall about how people will wait "20 minutes for the real thing". So it actually seems to be a source of pride that they can take 20 minutes to fill your order, because you will like the food that much. I've been to many of the best loved CT hot dog places. I have had my hot dog within 5 minutes from some of those paces. I have never waited longer than 10 minutes for a single hot dog, even when there were twice as many customers. Even when the other hot dog places have many more topping options and they actually make some of those toppings in house. 20 minutes for a single hot dog with simple toppings is unacceptable during non-busy periods, and should be embarrassing, rather than an apparent source of pride. I could get over 20 minutes for a best in CT level hot dog. My hot dog was not near that level. Rawley's uses a standard bun length Hummel hot dog. Deep frying the dog is supposed to make it snappy. My dog was not snappy. My teeth pierced the dog, with very little resistance. I'm not a Hummel guy, but the flavor was fine. The hot relish was pretty good. It did not pop relative to the topping options of my favorite CT hot dog shops. The butter-grilled bun is a highlight, however. It's probably one of the best hot dog buns in CT. I don't live near Fairfield. I can't see returning to Rawley's. Especially, given that one of the best CT hot dog spots is also in Fairfield, and another is up the road a bit in Milford. 3 Stars for the whole experience. 3.75 Stars for the hot dog.

They were fresh, crispy and just delicious. My only complaint is they brought no type of dipping sauce with it. The chicken breast sandwich was fresh but basic. I found the hot dog curtains adorable. Service was quick. They turned over the few tables quickly. Prices were reasonable. I'd visit again.

My only real complaint was that the burger could have used a little more seasoning, and I think it would have gone up another notch if it had been flame-broiled instead of seared. Overall, this is not a fancy place, but it is a solid spot for a quality meal. If you are in the area or just passing through, I would recommend checking it out.
