A flawless business model for my taste. I had my first poke in HI 8 years ago pre-mainland insurgence and was love at first bite. After eating their sushi burrito, I said to my wife, "this tastes like Hawaii." I don't say that often about poke/sushi places. This may have been a one hit wonder, but this wasn't my first time eating from this location. The service has always been good, very clean interior and fresh ingredients. I don't know what got me, but it is also a big brownie point gain for my marriage. When it is my idea to pull off the Merrit on a trip from CT to Boston, the wife is very happy with me. How can I not give 5 stars since she enjoyed her meal as well. Trust me, she is critical of her poke! read more

If I see a pokeworks nearby and I'm hungry, I will most likely be stopping in. I was on my way to lunch and was passing by and was starving so I went in for a small bowl and loved it. I love how they now have spicy tuna and spicy salmon option. I do wish the single portions are bigger than a small scoop. I love all the toppings you can choose and all the sauce options. Very fast service and lots of seating available. read more

Pokeworks - Poke bowl - Hawaiian Near Me - Wilton, Connecticut

There's not many places I could go to every day and not get tired of but PokeWorks makes the list. Amazing food, tastes fresh, great sauces, friendly service. Never had a bad experience in all my years as a frequent customer. read more

Local poke place I tried for lunch. Had the bowl, white rice, spicy tuna and salmon. Plenty of sauces and toppings to add to make it meet your taste desire. I felt like maybe they weee a little short on the variety of proteins. I believe one was chicken (not sure about trying that). Had they offered other seafood styles maybe I would have changed it up but these two are my standard go-to for poke. Clean facility. Friendly service and ok pricing. Hawaiian Sun canned drinks are available for a little more of the Hawaiian flavor. Definitely would consider when back in the area. read more

Hands down - their food is absolutely delicious and their service is impeccable! As a company, we order from Pokeworks at least once a month and I am still so impressed with their consistency! Our order is always delivered on time, perfectly packaged and absolutely delicious! Every dish is flavorful, fresh and generous in portion! Their service is fabulous as they always send a friendly employee to set up our whole lunch for us. And you MUST try their Coco Mango Haupia! It is our favorite dessert!! read more

I got a rice bowl last night with my standard order and it was good. I have gotten the same over the pandemic and would normally have given it 4 stars, but this time was not up.to the usual standard. This time it was just white rice (brown rice still offered as well) and not sushi rice anymore which I miss. It gave the bowl more zip without overloading the whole dish. The Wilton location was clean at 7:30pm and the raw fish was still.fresh. it looks like the options are a smaller than just a few months ago. read more

Bowl was delicious -I just wish it was a little colder when it was delivered. I can truly say this is the best Poké in the Hamden area

Love this place. The kids that work there are either friendly or don't talk, but I don't care, just fill my poke bowl cuz it's yummy!

Finally! We are so LATE to the game around here. Anyway, welcome to the neighborhood! It's great to have real poké as an option. A minimalist approach to the interior. Clean, communal tables. Gets loud though. Served line style (think chipotle) keeping it as hygienic as possible. So many options & choices & add ins & sauces so the combinations are endless. But to the overwhelmed, thankfully there are combo suggestions. I don't eat raw fish, so the tofu or cooked chicken is appreciated. Eat in or take out. read more

Their food used to be nice and yummy. But recently, overall ingredient freshness has gone little down, especially the rice. Yesterday, the rice was very dry and hard. read more

Poor service, lack of attitude, commitment and professionalism. I am sure that is a lot of decent poke places in your area because this one is a disaster. Called them, no feedback, no customer service. It is the first time in my life I am giving a ZERO STAR to a food review. read more

Delicious, fresh, with quick friendly service. I built my own with the tuna and spicy tuna perfect portion size. Recommend!

Really friendly service and my on line order was fulfilled in time. Food was fresh and delicious. Beware, the Thai chili IS spicy lol. I added it on thinking I wanted the heat but I ended up picking them all out. Good thing they only put about a dozen... read more

Pokeworks - 2 protein with every free topping available. Excellent flavor! - Hawaiian Near Me - Wilton, Connecticut

Used to wait in line at their first NYC spot on 37th street and so glad we found it in Wilton. Order from their own app to get the perks.

Been coming back and they seem to have worked the kinks out. The kale noodles have been in stock even at the busiest of times. Everything seems to be fresh and service seems to be quick, although I have seen some of the new faces mess up once or twice. I'm a fan. It's good poke for a reasonable price. I think I prefer the salmon over the tuna most of the time here, which isn't traditional, but who cares, that's what makes me happy. BTW, that 3rd scoop is totally worth it if you are really hungry! read more

I used to love the food here until today when I found pits of plastic in my dessert. Too bad I didn't take a picture. Two stars is being generous. read more

I had heard about Pokeworks. I figured I would try it for lunch today. It was easy parking and close to home so an easy option. I LOVED it. I had the ahi spicy tuna bowl and added avocado! I could eat this every day for the rest of my life. Very fresh and just the right size. I will be back for take out! If you want me to dine in at dinner you may need to add a bar! :) So good! Thank you!! I'm sorry but not much left in my pic! read more

Pokeworks - Spicy ahi bowl- after I killed it! - Hawaiian Near Me - Wilton, Connecticut

Ordered via the site and it was ready (before scheduled time) when I arrived to pick it up.. everything was fresh.

I've been to Pokeworks many times and their fish is very consistently fresh and tasty. I normally don't see the purpose in reviewing a chain restaurant but the experience that you get here, in this suburban Connecticut location, is way different from the experience I've had in in NYC locations. Customer service is great and I've always been greeted with a smile. There's also a lot more space to sit here and I've always been able to find a seat when needed. It's never super crowded and even when the line is long, it moves very quickly. In general, poke is pretty pricey but I think that if you get the fish, it's completely worth it. White rice is definitely the best with your poke bowl (in my opinion) but I usually get the kale noodles because they're also yummy and make me feel a little better about myself. They're super nice here about trying stuff before committing to it so I recommend trying some sauces before deciding which one to get. The sauce makes a really big difference on the overall taste of the bowl. I recommend Sriracha Aioli! read more

An amazing addition to the Fairfield County area. I've always gone out to the city for my pokebowl fix, but now I have one that is local! The fish is fresh and there are a ton of toppings to choose from. I like that the toppings are unlimited because it's hard to narrow it down! I went on their grand opening day when it was BOGO. It may have contributed to the reason as to why service was so slow (probably took more time waiting in line than eating) and why they were out on a few toppings. read more

Pokeworks is a must try! The staff was friendly and patient as I contemplated each and every choice I made for the endless toppings. I had one scoop of tuna and one of salmon (you are given two scoops). Both the tuna and salmon were clearly fresh, with a very mild flavor. For those deciding between the tastier sushi rice and healthier base options, I recommend doing half salad mix and half sushi rice to get the best of both. The experience was fun and the result delicious! Will be back soon. read more

Can I just say YUM?! I had to write a review after stumbling upon this place for lunch today. I was more than happy to try it, since I have not found great poké around here, and I love love love poké. The concept of the place is simple, just like ordering at a Chipotle. You order your favorite base, protein, and toppings. I decided to go with the Hawaiian Classic and added some seaweed salad. I wanted to eat it right away, but with a 5 year-old, I decided to take it to go... Even still, it was delicious at home. All the ingredients in my bowl were very fresh and the flavors were wonderful...definitely umami. Thank you for taking me back to my days in Hawaii! read more

I've been here twice in person and ordered via ubereats on multiple occasions. I prefer to support local businesses and I love having a poke place so close to home. I have become a bit of a poke conniesuer in the past decade so here is what I think, based on my experiences in New York, New haven, California, Hawaii transplanted holes in the wall worldwide, etc: The place is clean, open, and the assembly line is functional. Nice place to eat healthily and work on your laptop. The owner and managers are super friendly and accommodating. The fish (which is what poke is about) is fresh and the refrigeration of said fish is consistent, safe. The bowls are pretty decent with rice, salad, or kale noodles. Now here is why I only gave 3 stars: The flavor of the fish is not as robust as I would like, in spite of its obvious freshness. And yes, I've tried them all here. No single sauce or combination of sauces can make up for how the fish is marinated. Other than the copious amounts of rice, the portions are small (especially the utensils used for portions, i.e. the tiny prongs) and I often end up asking for more of something other than the fish. However, whenever I ask (even for more herbs, vegetables, or seaweed salad) I am given a look and they tell me that there will be a $1 surcharge. That is heinous for barely a mouthful more of seaweed salad, scarcely served with the tiny prongs. This is the only place where I've experienced this. I would have preferred to be offered a side of seaweed salad and pay accordingly. As the place is still new, I'll try to come back at a later date. I'd be interested to see their seasonal offerings and whether portioning has changed. Best wishes for much success! read more

Pokéworks is a welcome addition to the Norwalk / Wilton dining scene. Today is their first day and everything went smoothly from ordering to preparation to payment. Everything was nice and fresh. We ordered fairly straightforward bowls with sushi rice. Good portions. Would definitely order here again.

Not the poke bowl place for me! Their spicy mayo is siracha and so spicy my mouth was burning. I tasted it before I got it but having full mouth bites with it was overwhelming. Usually I do a spicy mayo combo with eel sauce they also didn't have that. I used their sweet teriyaki as an alternative but everything was so spicy I didn't finish my bowl :( so sad cause I was excited about seeing a poke bowl place since I am unfamiliar with the area! Also had limited toppings, no corn or carrots which add a nice crunch usually. The staff was very nice which is why I'm giving two stars! If you like spicy come here. If you don't go somewhere else or don't order the spicy mayo they have! read more
