Go get creative at Pokemoto in Fairfield! You will walk through an arrangement of additions and toppings and choose how you want to enjoy your meal and the outcome will be your very own mouthwatering bowl of scrumptiousness. Start with your size- regular or large, then choose sushi rice, brown rice or salad. Then move onto your protein. What I like about Pokemoto is that they have lobster salad that is so incredible! Salmon, tuna, tofu, shrimp, chicken are all choices. Then you can choose veggies, mango, pineapple, ginger, masago, nori, seaweed salad , and. The . List. Goes. On. Don't forget your sauce station that has over 10 options and the crunch station. The staff is friendly and helpful and the food is fresh and tasty. It's a fun place to grab lunch or dinner, eat in or eat out.

I went to Pokémoto after a few years. I was super excited to have a poke bowl. For getting your bowl made, you start with choosing the base, then proteins, mix-ins, sauce, veggies and lastly the crunch. I wanted the white rice because I love white rice and thankfully asked before I ordered it if it was gluten free. The girl working checked for me because she knew they put vinegar in the rice and the vinegar was not gluten free unfortunately. So I got the mixed greens as my base and she didn't know if the chicken was gluten free so I ordered the shrimp. She said I was safe with the veggies and mix-ins I chose. I didn't get any crunch. I appreciate the employee being so kind and understanding my allergy. I didn't really like the bowl and wish they would cook their rice with gluten free vinegar. You do get a decent amount of food in the bowl and I had leftovers.

Stopped in for a quick lunch to bring home. When I got home and opened it, the fish had an odd smell and looked very pale. I tried it anyway. The salmon had no taste at all and the tuna made my mouth burn. Basically inedible. I won't be back

The service here was quick but unenthusiastic and the server seemed like they didn't even want to be there. As for the bowls themselves, the poke salad mixed greens were bitter and honestly dry; they seemed wilted. The scoop portion for the meats were good! I think there is a great variety with the amount of toppings, I just wish it was a better overall physical experience.

Solid poke choice in the Fairfield area. You can dine in or take out but usually, it's never busy for seating. I ordered from the kiosk and it did take probably 15-20 minutes to make my bowl which is normally longer than normal compared to other poke places but all the ingredients tasted fresh and I don't really have any complaints over here. I didn't really interact with the staff so I can't say much in terms of customer service but my take-out orders are pretty smooth running.

Came here for a quick bite to eat after the beach since I was in the area. It was quick and convenient. I ordered my usual salmon/tuna over rice combo with kani salad, seaweed salad, cucumber, furikake, pickled radish and regular radish, then topped with ponzu. My favorite combo. While the rice seemed to be on the mushy side, I didn't mind it too much. The establishment felt warm though on a hot day with no AC and door propped open and there was a questionable noticeable fishy smell more so than normal. I felt ok after eating it so the food was fine.

Oh how I love this mini chain. I've been to new Haven and now Fairfield. Both have a winning formula. Great quality protein, fresh toppings, friendly professional service and a cute interior. The set up is familiar - like a chipotle for poke. But I had the poke salad and ate every bite. If you are looking for something different yet familiar, this is the perfect place. Yay.

Found a piece of metal in my food. If it didn't poke and cut my lips i would have swallowed.

Found a piece of metal in my food. If it didn't poke and cut my lips i would have swallowed. I called to let them know and whoever answered the phone didn't seem to care. Such a bummer bc i really liked the place.

Pokemoto is a great place to eat fresh sushi but in bowl form! Sushi is never a cheap meal but they do give you a good amount for what your paying. You can choose one of their bowl options or make your own. The bowls come in 2 sizes: regular and large. Regular you get 2 proteins and in the large you get 3. They give you plenty of options to add into your bowl however some add-ons are an additional charge such as avocado and masago. Pokemoto also serves dole whip if you are craving dessert after your poke bowl. There is a small parking lot in back if you get lucky so street parking may be the way to go.

I tend to go to this location every time, though the last 2-5 times I have had issues. They forgot to put in the salmon for a second time on a mobile order. Very unfortunate for this to happen yet again.

I was craving poké and was around Fairfield so decided to stop in here. They have a few seats for dine in, parking in the back as well as a kiosk to order your food. My boyfriend and I each got a bowl - I got a custom bowl (sushi rice, tuna, salmon, seaweed salad, edamame, Kani salad, etc) and he got a signature bowl (Miso salmon). Overall, they were very tasty! It is much like a special sushi roll with all of the fixings but in a bowl. We both got the regular size and felt like it was plenty of food. My only comment is we felt there was too much sauce for our liking and will probably indicate light sauce next time. I got 2 sauces in mine (spicy Mayo and wasabi aioli) and towards the end it felt very heavy.

**Update I ordered a Poke Burrito For myself this time and it was Amazing!! Definitely Check this place out Just what Downtown Fairfield Needed!! POKEMOTO is Awesome. Great Poke Bowl Choices and Quality is Great Highly Recommend We will definitely be back. Ordered a Poke Bowl and Poke Burrito Both were customized and sooo tasty Staff was quick, friendly and kicked butt If you haven't tried Poke Yet Check this place out You will NOT be disappointed

So much rice I also think this is a small not the large like I ordered.

I ordered a large and got a bowl full of rice. Suppose to come with 3 proteins got equal amounts of two. Would not recommend this place.

Hawaiian Kitchen, based in Bethpage, absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I had originally requested 2-liter bottles of soda, but since they didn't have them in stock, they proactively delivered individual cans instead to ensure our team had plenty of drinks. Now, for the food--it was phenomenal. Our office hasn't stopped raving about it! The Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp were huge hits, and the Angus Steak was incredibly tender. Even the Chicken Fried Rice was a standout, and all of their signature sauces were delicious. They also did a large house salad for us with the most incredible Ginger dressing. I had numerous people ask me where I found them, and I couldn't wait to order for their next small house parties or to pick up dinner on the way home. It was all so fresh and not greasy. We also ordered spring rolls that were so light and crispy, pineapple fried rice that was really delicious, and marinated chicken and steamed broccoli. If you're looking for reliable catering that people will actually get excited about, I can't recommend Hawaiian Kitchen enough. THANK YOU for making me look like a superstar! We will definitely be ordering again! PS - they are a small, family-owned business, and I love supporting businesses like that that really care. Give them a try!

It's not a brick and mortar store, its more like a mini three-wheeled food truck parked in the rear lot of "It's Playtime" - an indoor kids' playground and playscape. We saw zero signs directing us to its location -we just kind of knew about it from a Facebook post. Cuckoo's is owned by It's Playtime and is open more or less the same hours they are (roughly from 9-5). Because the cart sometimes goes off premises to an event, it's worth your while to call before you scoot over. Cups of shaved ice are sold in 2 sizes for $4 or $5. There had a ton of flavors including Blue Vanilla, Grape, Lime, Mango, Cherry,Tigers Blood, Pickled Mango, Lemon, Blue Raspberry, Banana, Sour Apple, Blueberry, Cotton Candy, Pina Colada, Cola, Pink Lemonade, Guava Passion Fruit,Li Hing Mango, Strawberry, Passion Orange Guava, Blue Bubblegum, and Cake Batter. You can trick out your shaved ice with a Snow Cap (for an extra creamy sweet texture), or Fairy Dust (glitter), or candies for half a buck or so more. No review of Cuckoo's would be complete without a glowing report on the young lady running the stand. Isabelle was delightfully charming, informative, helpful, and as sweet as the shaved ice she served up. We ordered a snow-capped small banana and a snow-capped small blue vanilla They totaled $10.21. As our temperatures hit the 70's and 80's, why not check out Cuckoos to cool off?

The menu had mostly Hawaiian options to choose from. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I had the customizable poke bowl ($15.95). There was a number of different options to choose from with different proteins, toppings, sauces, etc. I had a base of brown rice with avocado, cucumber, sweet corn, edamame, mango, ahi tuna, spicy mayo, ginger, wasabi, jalapeno, green onion, and cilantro. This was nicely done. Everything appeared fresh and it was a good size portion. I would have just liked to seen a little more ahi tuna present, but besides that, very pleasant and filling. I also had the spam musubi ($2.95) and a side of macaroni salad ($3.95). The musubi was okay. It was a little dry. There needed to be more sauce present. The macaroni salad was a heaping portion, and it was tasty. There looked like a lot of mayonnaise present, but it was not too overpowerful as some type of sugar seemed to be incorporated to balance it out. Regardless of what it was, the salad was flavorful. Will I go back? I would.

I was tempted to get the mini meal since I don't eat a lot, but I ultimately caved and decided to get the combo meal since I wanted to try the Kailua pork too. The verdict? The Kailua pork was a little too salty for me, it comes mixed with like cabbage or lettuce, and overall very mushy which I didn't mind.
