I'm a skeptic sandwich guy....but these guys know what they're doing. They make great Italian combo, Tuscan and "Marvin" sandwiches. The Italian and Marvin were each on a sub roll ( why they call it a "wedge" here I don't know why) and they were delicious. They use a very tasty roll here...fantastic bread with just the right amount of softness yet crunchy. I like the efficiency -- they have a system and the line moves quickly. After enjoying being a loyal, daily customer for over 2 & 1/2 years, it is a Sad day! The Owner chose not to accommodate my request to change my lunch order after there was a miscommunication on my order, I offered to come back and pay the difference but unfortunately he told me he would have to charge me full price. It is truly unfortunate that pleasing a loyal customer is not important to him. Regardless of the cost differential he could of fixed my order..It was never about the cost..Just so disappointing. I will NOT be back and I will NOT suggest them to anyone! A big shout out to WENDY and all the girls there, they work so hard and do truly care about the customers! If you ever find yourself anywhere around Redding or Ridgefield on RT 7 between the Merritt and 84, you have to make time for lunch here. I travel around CT a lot for work so I stop at a lot of delis. The Sand Wedge easily has some of the best tasting sandwiches in all of Connecticut. The prices are super economical as most specialty hard rolls are under $7 and to make it a Wedge is only $1 more. You end up spending less than a place like Subway and get a 100x better taste. The drink/chip selection is varied and they have different dessert snacks for a sweet tooth. My first time here I got some grilled cornbread and it was extremely good. I can see myself going out of my way to eat here in the future as the people are really nice too. By the way I got an Old no. 7 on a Wedge which I highly recommend. read more

The Sand Wedge is a local institution, a real home-town deli. The sandwiches and wraps are so satisfying we used to sneak out of high school and drive up just to get them...my friends and I will still meet up for reunions there They have a huge variety of custom sandwiches and wraps sporting homemade sauces. It`s a decent place to grab some food quick, but the quality of the food is medicore and the prices are a bit high. The hot food area could use a few more options and their price per pound specifically needs to come down. My recent small lunch was just under $9. Also disappointing in my visits here are the poor customer service from both the order taker and even more so from the female cashier in her 40s, she is not nice. So, if you don`t mind overpaying and are in a rush, it works. But, you would be better off eating from somewhere else north or south of them on Route 7. read more

The food is great, a ton of sandwich options here, you'll want to try them all!! The crunch is amazing, tuna with chips inside the sandwich! Milano is also great, ask for marinara on the side. I live in Los Angeles but every time I visit the area the first place I want to eat is always Sand Wedge. The menu is extensive, including everything from your basic BLT to more creative options like the "Cali Chicken" where the combination of chipotle mayo and avocado really hits the spot. My favorite is the "honeyslide", an excellent twist on the classic turkey-bacon sandwich. They have a really good system that helps to move the line along quickly, you don't stand around waiting for your sandwich. Walked in and asked for my usual BEC with their delicious frozen hash brown square. Every time I go the price is different for the same thing. This time was no different.
