Great food and great service. Prices reasonable. 12.00 for a sandwich, and two could eat from it, as portions large. Bonus pickle on side. Chicken Tortellini soup hits the soul! Wonderful taste and temp! I do have some suggestions for the owner. There is nothing I hate more than eating from a foam plate. They are toxic to humans and to the environment. Also as a business, you have such great food the foam plates cheapen your food and the experience. A cost effective way would be reusable baskets with paper plates. I also suggest, invest in new plates, cutlery for those seeking a dining in experience. A plate that looks worn also cheapens the experience. Another option is metal trays, they are cheap, look modern and are easy to clean. Other than that you guys are great! read more

A place where everyone knows your name. Driving from NC to Mass craving for a nice old fashioned deli and found this awesome place. Delicious and reasonable, the interior is rustic, just like I remember as a child. I had the Park City -Turkey, corned beef, Russian dressing and slaw. My friend had the corned beef sandwich. This is my neighborhood deli and I am actually surprised I have not reviewed them yet. They serve really good sandwiches here and the staff is always so pleasant. Today I had the hot roast beef sandwich served with lettuce and tomato with horseradish. An excellent sandwich, the perfect portion size. My girlfriend had the Italian cold cut combo served on baguette bread. She loved it. The deli is really cool with several rows of tables and a really cool vibe in there. read more

I went here with high expectations after a friend saw something about woods end on Facebook recommending it. I tried the ruben and eastside special (which someone praised in a previous post). The ruben was ok at best and skimpy on the meat. In my opinion, if you are serving a sandwich in the borderline ghetto of Bridgeport for almost 8 dollars it better be either extremely good tasting or massive, this was neither. The eastsider was a real disappointment. The bread was mediocre, roast beef was standard roast beef you get anywhere, peppers were extremely bland and their horseradish has no bite whatsoever. I doubt they make their horseradish so I highly recommend switching to a different brand. The worst part of this was the size, for 8 dollars it had a very small amount of meat. They also charge 5 dollars for a small soup which seems a bit high. This seems like a place for people who just want to sip on a coffee for an hour and read the paper so if that's your thing, you might enjoy woods end deli. With so many options nearby, I will definitely not be going back. read more
