This place is amazing! It's gorgeous, unique, and the food was wonderful. We did a girls lunch and got a couple of grain bowls, a Caesar salad with chicken, and their grilled cheese. The grilled cheese was crunchy, with nice apples and brie. Delicious! our server was fantastic, very patient with us and the cocktails were also amazing. My favorite thing was the bread in the flower pot! With the maple butter! Unbelievable I absolutely love this lunch!.

Terrain has the best brunch and service. The French toast is my fav. Not too sweet just a perfect balance. I always try to get their seasonal coffee which tastes great.

I came here with my family for brunch over a holiday weekend. We made reservations in advance. Despite it being a pretty large restaurant, it was busy. They serve each table bread and a special butter. The bread was very fluffy and soft. The butter was flavored with fennel pollen. I ordered the mushroom frittata, and substituted the potatoes hash for sourdough. The frittata was topped with goat cheese and served with lightly dressed greens. The food was delicious. The whole restaurant is garden-themed and there's a large store attached to it that sells household/beauty products, plants, gardening products, decor, etc. It was nice to eat in such a beautiful and green space!

Love the ambiance here! I recommend making a reservation in advance. My friend and I came here on a Sunday afternoon and waited for only around an hour (luckily), the restaurant was packed! They have indoor and outdoor seating. What is really nice is that when you're waiting you can check out their shop and garden! It's so beautiful and they have great stuff. Their items in store and at the restaurant are a bit pricer for what you're getting though. Since it seems more upscale and farm to table I was expecting better service. Our server messed up our drinks and food order and rarely checked in on us. As for the food, I got the shakshuka which was good, not the best ever but decent. I wish it was a little more salty, but the fresh tomatoes made up for it. My friend got a frittata and thought it was okay. Needed more salt as well. We definitely do not recommend the matcha as you can't even taste it. But my blackberry spritzer was good. All in all, food was okay, vibes were great, service was not up to par for cost. Note: the parking lot is small, hard to find parking, they have valet

A charming, cozy garden cafe restaurant with a warm, intimate ambiance--perfect for special occasions or no occasion at all! Such a delight for my every visit here! Terrain Cafe + Anthropologie = Joyful Adventures

This place is great! The store they have had very aesthetic and nice plants, pots, and decor. The cafe is hidden inside it all and the space is so cool! Beautiful plants surround you as you eat and it has an open and bright concept which makes for a very good brunch. The service was also very friendly and welcoming. We got the Shakshuka which was so flavorful and the consistency was great with the bread to be dipped in! The chickpeas were also nice and crispy. We also got the chicken Caesar salad which was also very good. The dressing was perfect and the chicken was grilled to perfection. We also got some mimosas and a whiskey drink they were offering which was very fragrant. Highly recommend this place for a brunch with a group of people or a date. It's beautiful and delicious and you won't be disappointed!

We stopped in for breakfast right at open at 10am. It was super cold out and windy and we had to wait outside until 10 on the dot, which was a little annoying. The ambiance is unmatched, a really cool earthy type spot. We were met with a nice server who took our orders fairly quickly. We ordered a few different things. The flower pot bread is a cool fun thing, and it was good with the red wine specialty butter. The short rib and egg was delicious - really juicy and didn't even need to touch my knife since it fell apart with my fork. I wish they added a little more sauce to lap up the potatoes with, and it would've been great had they offered the option to add another egg for a couple bucks. Also needed a dash of salt. The mushroom frittata was good but also could've used a bit more goat cheese. I snagged a bite of the kids pasta with red sauce, and it was ok, a bit al dente. This is our second time here - the first was around a similar experience. Some tasty food but a couple changes could make it truly great.

I'm giving a hard review on this. I wanted to love this place so much. First off, please make a reservation in advance here if you can. It was a 2 hour drive wait without which I think is a little extreme. Thankful for the garden area to eat up an hour of the wait. I hope when the weather is nice & the outdoor area is open the wait won't be as bad. The place is nice looking. It's adorable actually. So here's where things went a little further down hill for me. The machine that makes lattes/ espresso/ ect. Was BROKEN. I WAS SO BUMMED. I found the regular coffee very icky & watered down. As someone into coffee this was a huge letdown :/ I tried one of their other specials they had & I was also v disappointed. It was a hibiscus tea that wasn't steeped very long. Also I had to ask the server for everything which was frustrating. I know they're doing their best. The flower pot bread is precious & warmed. As far as the food goes, I was satisfied but not for that price point. & I don't think it's worth a 2 hour wait either. Maybe I'll try again in warmer weather!

We loved terrain so much for dinner that we went back for brunch a few weeks later! It's such a lively setting where you're surrounded by plants and can go shopping right after eating. They have an option where you can turn any of their lattes into espresso martinis which I loved! And the servers were extremely friendly. I highly recommend making a reservation as they do get packed fast! On to the food! When we went for dinner we couldn't help but pick multiple things off the appetizers menu. My favorite bites were the fried cauliflower,it was extremely crispy, flavorful and addicting, and their hummus, which was extremely smooth and creamy! The cocktails were pretty good as well and they create a seasonal list for you to choose from! The halibut was my go to choice for my entree, it was well seasoned and delicious! If you like a little bit of heat, the scallops are a tad bit spicy but overall good! They also bring out a cute flower pot full of bread and a special butter that they change I believe every week or everyday. Overall a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back for dinner! Brunch is equally delicious and I highly recommend the terrain burger! It's extremely juicy and the parm fries are addicting with it!

Got there early and the menu was brunch. Told us if we wanted to look over dinner menu which started in 10 minutes. Kate was our waitress and was delightful. Explained everything and took her time with us. The drinks were great and appetizers delicious. The main courses were different and delicious. The mussels were great and done with tomatoes in a sausage out of the shells. Coffee excellent and the terrarium dessert delicious . Looking forward to next visit

Terrain Cafe never disappoints. The atmosphere is refreshing--surrounded by greenery that makes you feel instantly calm and cozy. The food is consistently delicious, with fresh flavors that pair perfectly with the warm, inviting setting. It's the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer, whether you're there for coffee, a full meal, or just the ambiance. Always a good choice.

4 stars for the shop, which is boujee amazeballs fab, but 3 stars for the boujee af brunch. I had been given a gift card here from a co- worker who loves her some plants, and we decided to bring my plant living college kiddo for brunch on a Saturday morning. Plenty of parking plus one. Open table online reservations plus two. The food itself was just too fancy and meh for me, the standout would be the bread in a flower pot which was great, the basil butter was super basil like chewing a leaf (the butter flavors change up though) I had the fried avocado Benedict, my husband the French toast (which is one large piece) and my daughter the cauliflower sandwich. The fried avocado and the cauliflower on my Benedict were unique but I missed an English muffin under it. My daughter didn't like the sauce on her sandwich, and my husband enjoyed the French toast but left still hungry. The store on the other hand is drop dead stellar, so many plants, lotions, candles, tea towels, home decor, wreaths, the outside garden area also had huge varieties. I could spend serious $$$ there but that's the other piece you are in Westport and the plants and accoutrements are Westport prices. The ladies in the shop and the garden area are freaking awesome though, knowledgeable and insanely friendly.

I went to this place for my birthday this year! Boy the food was sooo amazing! It tastes so delicious with the farm fresh ingredients. Loved the concept of farm to table eating because of the superb taste. The menu changes depending on what's available. The service was also excellent we went with our toddler and they were so nice, understanding and accommodating to us. The drinks were ok lasting the ambiance was just perfect they had like a store adjacent and it was pleasingly aesthetic and great for pictures. highly recommended

The barn-like building's dining room is dominated by thick wood plank paneling, exposed ceiling beams, and a stone fireplace. Three of us stopped in for lunch today, and we had a very favorable experience. Our server was super friendly and helpful, and answered a few questions we had about the preparation of a sandwich. She even ran back to the kitchen to check with the chef and made sure we had the information we were looking for. Their menu is very broad and covers appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, salads, burgers, and bowls. Our lunch was a Southwest Salad ($18.95) with Mojito-lime marinated grilled chicken, crispy romaine, Roasted corn, black beans, pico de gallo, queso fresco, avocado & crispy tortillas with ancho chipotle dressing, Chatham Fish N' Chips ($20.95) with Crispy ale battered cod with fries, tartar sauce, house slaw and lemon wedges, and a Grilled Chicken Caprese Sandwich ($17.95) with Lemon-Pepper grilled chicken breast, roasted red peppers, baby arugula, fresh mozzarella, and pesto aioli served on a toasted Rosemary focaccia. The food was excellent. I had the salad, and the first thing I noticed was there was a LOT of grilled diced chicken on my plate. It was a big portion, certainly enough for two sittings, and I have to say that ancho chipotle dressing was sneaky spicy! I really liked this place. Decent pricing, good food, good value, plenty of choices, a friendly staff, a full bar, and pretty much whatever you look for to enjoy a meal. What more can a Yelper want?

So I've actually debated whether or not to include this UberEats delivery review. The first time I…read moretried to go through with it, I just couldn't really figure out what to write. I only ordered it on UberEats this past Friday night, so it's not like I actually went there. However, the more I ate and thought about it, the more I realized something. This is the 4th year in 6 I've done a pre-birthday send-off UberEats order, and this is my 3rd year in a row doing so. In 2021, I had Edo on the last week before I turned 30. 2024, it was Boatyard at Smokey Joe's in Stamford, ordered on April 18. Last year, I did the Norwalk location of Elm Street Diner on April 24. If we want to take that into consideration, then that would be reason enough to sum my thoughts up together and get something down. So to send off age 34, say hello to Walrus Alley! If I'm being honest, I always wanted to have a barbecue right before my birthday of this year of all years. It only felt appropriate for 2026. Originally, I was going to have Wire Mill Saloon from Redding delivered using Yelp, but one of the items I'd ordered was out of stock, so that got canceled and I turned my sights here and ordered what I would have gotten from Redding. This was a half-rack of ribs, an order of Mac & Cheese, side of cornbread (this one came with coleslaw and pickles), and an a la mode chocolate bourbon pecan pie. The pecan pie was the only change since if I had gotten the Redding order, I would have had a key lime pie a la mode. I also put in some Alabama sauce because it does ribs a new flavor to play along with. I had everything over the next three days, hence why I am writing this review now. I will start by saying the ice cream did not make it without melting, but that's okay. I wasn't expecting it to since my driver did have to make a bunch of stops along the way, making my order take over an hour to deliver. No fault on the driver or restaurant there, and I ended up drinking the ice cream anyway, and it was still refreshing, so c'est la vie. The pecan pie it came with was actually really good. I found that it's better if you let that chill off a bit. Don't use plastic silverware for this one for the pie will break them, but delicious and sweet all the same. I'd love to have this in an in-person visit. In contrast, the cornbread should be warm when you eat that. It's buttered and soft, but it might be too dry if you try to eat it cold. The pickles are more of the spicy kind. I prefer sweet pickles, but I don't mind them being spicy either. The coleslaw I will say suffers the same fate that befell the one from Boatyard: it doesn't taste like true coleslaw. They should take a bit of inspiration from the Smokies (think Eastern Tennessee or Western NC) to learn how it should be done. It's lacking that mayonnaise component that truly makes it coleslaw. If they added that, then we might be talking! I decided to leave the ribs and Mac & cheese for last in the review because they do provide reheating instructions for those who order take-out such as myself. The Mac & cheese was actually eaten very late on the first night. The instructions given for Mac & cheese were spot-on, baking at 375 for 10 minutes before I dug in. It was some damn good Mac & cheese. Cheesy, love the breadcrumbs, and very satisfying overall. The ribs were the last to be finished. I will say I did also follow the instructions for the ribs as they were written; however, unlike the Mac & cheese, the ribs were still cold in the middle after 20 minutes in 375. You need the microwave to finish the job here. The ribs themselves were good. They weren't the best ribs I've ever eaten, but they were tender, the BBQ sauce was tasty, and the meat fell right off the bone. I will say that for this meal it needs a healthy amount of Alabama sauce all on it to really elevate it, but other than my experience reheating them this was my only criticism. Overall, a worthy BBQ meal. I'd still pick Hindsight BBQ over this if faced with deciding which CT BBQ to go with, but this will get the job done and then some if you need good BBQ. I'd love to come in-person one night and experience this place firsthand.
