We had heard great things from our family and friends but wanted to make sure the hype was real. IT WAS! We both enjoyed Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwiches and iced coffee. The staff was professional, helpful and efficient. They go above and beyond to accommodate the needs of the guest. You are able to customize your meal exactly to your preferences. The dining area overlooks the harbor and is a wonderful place to enjoy a meal. You're right on the water which is a nice change of pace compared to other local breakfast and lunch spots. The restaurant has turned what used to be an empty stretch of parking lot into a vibrant social hub. I would highly recommend The Galley when visiting Norwalk. The Galley at Norwalk Cove Marina is such a hidden gem in Fairfield County and one of my favorite spots to go in the summer. The Galley is outdoor seating only and has amazing breakfast and lunch sandwiches with beautiful water views of the Norwalk Harbor. Everything I've had here has been excellent. I usually do the Manresa sandwich which is essentially an Italian, and it's fantastic. Highly recommend checking out The Galley! read more

This place is a disaster. The kitchen is disorganized and obviously too small. On a moderately busy day it took them 45 minutes to produce one bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. Lots of other people were complaining as well. Plenty of workers running around but no food coming out of the kitchen. I suspect this is a Management problem. read more

Hands down my favorite breakfast & lunch spot in Norwalk. I feel like calling it a deli understates the quality and artistry that goes into each sandwich. The menu was carefully crafted by the owner Paige and you can taste the love she puts into each item. (You can also say hi to her, she's working behind the counter everyday!) Everything is made fresh to order, which does sometimes create a wait- especially on weekends. I suggest calling ahead if you're hungry. Otherwise the eatery is beautifully situated in Cove marina with stunning views of the sound and has plenty of comfortable seating. Plus there's a bar :) My favorite breakfast sandwich is not on the menu but is sometimes referred to as "the Instagram post"- bacon, scrambled eggs, and cheese with a crispy hash brown and Mike's hot honey on multigrain bread. I'm hard pressed to pick a favorite lunch item, but my current go to is the calf pasture- shaved ribeye, American & provolone, sautéed sweet & spicy peppers, caramelized onion and garlic aioli on a grinder. Will definitely be back! Came for an early morning breakfast and could not have had a more beautiful setting! The staff were chipper, friendly and efficient. They were knowledgeable about the menu items and helpful with suggestions. This is the cutest place in Norwalk to grab lunch or breakfast. I got a wrap and a small coffee with almond milk. If you have a pupper you can sit at one of the wood tables and chairs to the right of their dinning area, which has a great view of the water. They staff is super kind and brings your food to your table. I've already gone twice in the last 24 hours so I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! read more

Came on a Saturday afternoon. It is a little hidden in the parking lot by the beach. I got the Tavern and my fiancé got the Sherwood. The sandwiches were seriously unreal. It's a family business and we are looking to potentially move to the area, they were so nice and gave us tips on where to go explore. Took over a half hour to get a sandwich. Great view, but awful smells of gasoline and diesel coming from the dock right in front of us. Bar girl is real lazy. She seems almost elevated above everybody else and too much of a hippie to care about getting people their drinks. And that's a lot coming from a hippie like me thank you. From Extravagant Private Events to a quick lunch break The Galley has it all. I had my engagement party here, and from start to finish Paige, (the event coordinator/manager) was nothing but helpful and accomodating. Paige right off the bat made me feel as if my needs were her #1 priority. Her staff was hardworking, flexible, and attentive. I never had to worry about a thing. They were able to provide food from Buffalo Chicken Sliders to Pasta Salad to Proscuitto and Goat Cheese Sandwiches. They were also able to make every item they made gluten-free for my Fiance who has an Allergy. My friends and family were blown away at how nice the event was. The Galley Team was able to wow my loved ones while still keeping me significantly under budget. I would highly recommend anyone looking to plan a private outdoor event to have it at the galley. If you're still reading this know that I do not write reviews ever but Paige and the rest of The Galley Team deserve recognition for the incredible event they provided for such a special night. We had our Father's Celebration of Life at The Galley. Paige Treglia coordinated and catered the event which was fabulous. She was professional, creative and fun to work with.
