I'm legit obsessed with this place. Got an oat milk caramel latte and as I was about to leave, I saw they had GF empanadas on the menu. I asked if I could order a few to go and they told me it would be a few minutes because they made the GF ones when ordered. Not a problem - they could not be more attentive or kinder! sweetest staff members, the selection of food looks amazing. Can confirm the coffee is incredible and the GF empanadas are even better. I haven't tried their food but they get 5 stars from me for their coffee ice cube option. I love ice coffee but I hate when it gets watered down. The coffee ice cubes are a game changer and I'll always pay the $1 extra. Service is pretty fast and they're really accommodating and attentive. Ambiance reminds me of a Latin American or European cafe. They have an extensive menu and the place remains open all day into dinner. Definitely have to go back to check it out. read more

Walked in here around 5:15p and immediately loved the set up of the place. I am a fan of coffee shops/cafes that serve drinks and this is the first one I've really found in Fairfield county. I ordered 2 empanadas (onion and cheese + caprese) and a lemon ginger tea. The woman behind the counter brought me my tea with a bottle of honey (it was nice I didn't even have to ask) while my empanadas were warming up. The music was relaxing throwbacks that I was really enjoying as I was getting some work done. The empanadas were really good! The bread/dough was different from other empanadas I've had - there was a crunch like a croissant - but I really enjoyed it with the salsa verde. Excellent place I went to today. It was called Friends and that was exactly what I felt. This place still see me again. The coffee was great and I had it with a well needed beer. Becoming my new favorite coffee spot. They have amazing, authentic food, drinks are consistently delicious and the staff are SUPER friendly and inviting. I feel like I'm being served by a friend - seriously, didn't even mean to make that pun! Basic coffee is decent but I'm a bit picky about my coffee selection, so take that opinion with a grain of salt. I wish I took a picture of the avocado toast served to us today. The toast was $12. It had two medium slices of bread with 4 thin strips of avocado place over each slice. That was absolute it. Can't believe they can get away charging $12 for this. Very pricy for what they serve. We had another avocado toast with egg. The egg was $2 more but at least the egg made it more wholesome. We did bring up the sad appeal of the toast and the price to the server and they comped it, but that was not the issues. I wish they would just put a little more in to it. read more

This is a cute, local place with decent food and nice coffee drinks. I appreciate that they present their drinks in interesting glassware. The location is good for people watching and the folks who work here are SO nice. I really wanted this to be a place I could hang out at. Unfortunately, a personal deal breaker of mine is music. I know it's not WHY I'm there, but their selection is just sort of strange? Radio Disney reminiscent? The Ladies who own this little gem on Hope Street put their hearts and souls' into decorating the inside...cool vibe...and you've got to try their incredible smoothies on a summer day (strawberry banana my favorite) the empanadas are the best anywhere in this town. This is the perfect place for coffee lovers and light fare food. You'll catch the aromas of the Tartas, baked Empanadas and mini quiche as soon as you enter the quaint shop. The staff are friendly and accommodating. We ordered an omelette, the broccoli quiche and a Greek salad, which were impeccable. We had cappuccinos, that were full bodied and frothy.
