I came here on the hunt for great coffee and stumbled upon this hidden gem. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was incredible. The space is filled with thoughtful details, eye-catching pictures, and has such a relaxing vibe that it's perfect for unwinding or catching up with friends. The service was top tier. The staff was welcoming, patient, and conversational, which made my first visit here even better. I ordered their cold brew coffee with oat milk and two shots of vanilla. It had great flavor and the perfect caffeine kick. Based on their recommendation, I also tried the coffee crumb cake, and wow. It was fresh, moist, buttery, with the perfect touch of cinnamon. Honestly one of the best I've had. Parking can be a little tricky when it's busy, but it's absolutely worth it for the experience. Humbled is my favorite coffeehouse in Stamford for many reasons, but here's a few: 1. GREAT LOCAL coffee! Seriously, what is better than that? They have put me in to so many delicious flavors. Right now (fall) I'm loving their salted caramel mocha. 2. Versatile I love that they make new seasonal menus in addition to their main menu 3. Local bakery Absolutely love that they use a bakery from Westchester county. Fresh and delicious, DAILY. 4. Aesthetic Easily the best, most pleasing aesthetic. They offer 2 size options, medium and large, and they have a ton of different flavor options They also have ~10 pastry options, and I oped for their crumb cake. The atmosphere is all Jesus-y and the services is going to sh*t. I've been coming here for a while now and while I still give high ratings to the coffee (Bonjo Roasters), baked goods (not sure where they come from) and bagels (Liz Sue's Bagels) I'm skipping this coffee shop, and heading over to the much friendlier and consistent spots - because there are a lot of other options around. Ironically, they're not living up to their namesake - humbled? Not so much. Quite a few of the employees (not all, but most) never smile, never say have a nice day and get annoyed if they get the order wrong. Which brings me to my next complaint - they've gotten my order wrong a number of times and when I tell them, I get attitude. I stopped telling them and just take what they give me, because I just don't feel like getting eyes rolled at me. MANAGEMENT - train your staff and remind them the importance of customer service. Maybe pump the breaks on the religious theme - it is ridiculous and becomes more and more ironic with every eye roll. At this point, it's borderline offensive. read more

I'm a local and I've tried this place at least 4-5 times in the last year and I always walk away disappointed. The coffee here is bafflingly terrible. The place has modern vibes, plus this being the only coffee shop around the area with a pretty consistently busy clientele makes it seem like it would be good. It is not. My gf's iced latte and my café au lait was comically bad. Had an over powering burned flavor to it, so bitter that taking a single sip makes one regret the whole experience. Had high hopes of this little coffee shop, but the service is very confusing to me -- I saw bagels available and wanted to have one. Asked the barista if there's any spread, but she said they are not offering it because they are closing at 3pm and the toaster is off (but it's 1:30pm at the moment). Ok that's fine, so I got a scone instead, which is average at most... later on someone bought a cinnamon roll and asked to toast it, and the barista turned the toaster on??? Why different treatments towards different customers?? I wish I had more time to talk to her and figure out if there's any misunderstanding! read more

The ambience and space makes it the perfect spot to connect with friends in a comfortable environment, or change up your area of work (if you can work remotely). I've been meaning to come to Humbled for a while, but my social anxiety kept me home I'm so glad that I finally made the trip! I had some work to do and wanted to get out of the house - I love that there's different seating arrangements. I picked the tabletop so I could use my laptop and get a full few of all the cute decor :) I ordered a matcha latte with almond milk which was delicious. I didn't get any food because I don't really eat sweets or bread, but they all looked good! The reason for 4 stars - the music is REALLY loud. I appreciate wanting to create an ambience, but I can't imagine trying to have a conversation without being directly next to the person. I always bring headphones when I work outside my house, but I had to practically blast my music so I didn't hear the music. Nothing wrong with the music choices - I just need a certain vibe when I work :) read more

I'm not one to give 5 stars...I really love my iced hazelnut coffee. Light and sweet. I had ordered two coffee's made differently and they gladly took my order and made it right. Coffee taste so smooth and sweet with the syrup. I don't know why I have been going else where for iced coffee. This place also has a good amount of space to sit and drink coffee and bakery items for local bakeries. #supportlocal Great staff! It makes the place that much better. I visited in early 2020 - lots of people were settled in on laptops, so there wasn't much space left for seating and not very quick turnover, and people were constantly shifting from their seats to better seats when they became available. I find that a bit unsettling sometimes, because I just want to be able to enjoy my coffee and relax a bit (but then so does everyone else!), but aside from that the atmosphere was pleasant and we were happy to perch by the window. We shared a couple of pastries which were enjoyable, nothing particularly memorable, but good. I only went the one time because, well, I didn't think the coffee was great. The craft simply wasn't there for me. I don't know if it was a one off, but it was bad enough I really didn't want to bother finding out. I've had much better coffee in the area, so it's a miss for me. (For reference, because not everyone is into the same coffee, I enjoy my coffee a variety of ways. Not a big fan of flavored lattes or sweet coffees. Not a Starbucks drinker. Filter, drip, pour over, espresso, etc. I drink black; for a craft coffee, cortados, usually I'll have with oat or almond milk; also, a matcha drinker. I enjoy many different types of roasts. I expect a well crafted coffee to hold up, and it definitely shouldn't taste burnt or bitty. The milk should kind of integrate, so it's not a separate entity, but it also shouldn't dissolve into it, like you're basically putting milk in coffee....I'll have to look up some proper terminology :)) read more

The crumb cake was okay- the cake was moist and there was a thick crumb layer. The frosting on the cinnamon bun was amazing but the bun itself was dry. But the coffee was burnt!!!! Both my iced coffee and my husband's drip coffee tasted awful. Not sure if it was an off day. The inside was super cute. And the cashier was really sweet. We will probably try again to see if it was really an off day or if that's the flavor of the brewed coffee. -_- read more

This place is so cute .. if feels welcoming inside and has uplifting decor with cute sayings or lyrics. The chalkboard wall is a nice touch as well. It looked very clean as well..everything was in place and neat. They also sell cute branded merchandise and reusable mugs. The iced hazelnut latte with almond milk that I ordered was perfect. They also have the option of plastic straws or 100% decomposable straws which is an environmentally concscious touch. I was happy there was the option of plastic since I was going to be "babying" my drink as I worked on a paper.. wasn't sure I'd be okay with a decomposable straw for a long period of time, otherwise I would've definitely taken the other one. Although a little pricey, i would certainly come back based on my experience. Also I saw an article somewhere that the lady that owns the place always wanted to have a coffee house and she made it happen with her daughter(s?). Do not sleep on this little humble gem of a coffeehouse...it's possibly THE best coffee in Stamford HANDS DOWN. If you blink you'll miss it, it's set in a tiny little building in Glenbrook and the exterior is so unassuming but if you happen to come across Humbled you will be so happy that you did. I've seen this coffeehouse a few times and I finally decided to try it this weekend. O.M.G. this coffee is so smooth, naturally sweet and delicious! The interior is amazing. Super cozy, very photogenic and there's plenty of space to sit and enjoy yourself alone or with a crowd. There's plenty of eye candy on the wall and every time I'm there it's incredibly quiet. My experience with the staff has been nothing but GREAT. They're friendly, helpful and FAST. I'm so used to waiting forever for my coffee but these barista's are ON IT. Sigh I almost don't want to gush about this place because I'm worried it'll be overrun, but its just too good not to rave about! Not the greatest coffee. The store connected to the cafe was something else. Workers by counter were extremely rude, made us feel so unwelcome, eyeing us and whispering the whole time. I can't believe this place is about to celebrate it's 1-year anniversary, and I just recently heard about them! This is the coziest coffee shop I've been to in Stamford. They have comfy chairs and a couch. Coffee menu is extensive. Their regular coffee was smooth and delicious. They have non-dairy options (almond and coconut milk). I can see parking being a bit annoying when they get busy, but other than that, this place is nothing shy of perfection. read more
