My first time here! I tried the lavender latte and it was nice and warm (not too hot so if you prefer hot you might have to ask for it). There's plenty of outdoor seating along the great lawn. Docked one star because the menu said $5.25 for a lavender latte but I was charged $.75 extra for the lavender. I didn't say anything bc I noticed it on my receipt while I was waiting for my drink on the other side of the kiosk. Docked another star because I asked for skim or 2% and got whole milk. Please charge what you have listed on your menu sheet and not sneak it in. And please give customer what they order.

no idea what breakfast sandwhich this was but it was PHENOMAL

Proof is THE place to get coffee in Habor Point. Before i get into how delicious their products are, let me say this: their prices reflect their quality. If you want half assed cheap coffee go across the street to the deli or any of the 2 star rated dunkin's in the area. The coffee at PROOF is certified organic AND sustainably sourced (something that is personally very important to me), part of proceeds are donated to mental health charities, they only hire locally (and, to my understanding, pay their workers a good wage), their pastries are from local bakeries/vendors, and their breakfast sandwhiches put places like starbucks/dunkin to shame. The first time i got a breakfast sandwhich from here i was literally drooling. i wish i could remember what i got!! But it was last year and i think it's no longer on their menu anyway! I've only been here a handful of times since i do not live in stamford full time, but it's a 3 min walk from my bf's apartment (where i sometimes WFH) and is the best midday pick-me-up a girl can ask for. My most recent visit i ordered an iced oat chai latte and some citrusy scone that was HUGE and to die for. I should've taken a picture but it's size was equivalent to like 2.5 starbucks scones!!! My man tried it when he got home and also loved it. The location is great, lots of dogs are around as it is in a park, right next to a beautiful fountain. Plenty of places to sit around there too! Only thing you may not find is a good parking spot LOL. But that's a stamford problem. The only sad thing i have to say is that they emailed me a 20% off code that i CAN'T USE bc i won't be back in stamford until two days after it expires :((( BIG SAD. But i will still be back as i have yet to try their matcha and indulge in more oversized scones while sitting by the fountain. :)

Josh, the manager, convinced us to try this new spot & it did not disappoint! As vegans, it's usually hard to find a pumpkin syrup that doesn't contain dairy & lucky for us, PROOF has us covered! Their pumpkin spice syrup is VEGAN! Check out the beautiful design Josh made me! The little stand is so cute and located perfectly in Commons Park! You're surrounded by adorable dogs, lively Harbor Point & the friendly faces of the employees at PROOF! Would definitely recommend you give this place a try for yourself

    Mocha Frappuccino and plain croissant

While taking a leisurely walk with the pup this morning, I decided to stop at PROOF for a quick bite and a much-needed cup of coffee. I opted for a mocha Frappuccino that hit all the right notes, perfectly blending the flavors of coffee and chocolate. The warm staff also gave my dog a cookie, which definitely made her morning! I also ordered a croissant that was everything I could have hoped for - soft, flaky, and simply delightful. I decided to take a seat at one of the tables and soaked up the gorgeous weather while being entertained by playful dogs in Commons Park. It was such a peaceful and joyful way to start the day!

Perfect popup providing phenomenal proof coffee. By far the best in town. Worth the ride. Grab a beverage, snack, and take a stroll round the dog park to Harbor Pt pier to see stunning Sound views. But seriously, this coffee is fire! EXCLUSIVE: Breakfast sandwiches on the grille en route and coming soon! In the meantime Eric's Bagels sure hit the spot and do the trick. Pro tip: Toasted salt bagels refuel electrolytes while bike riding downtown.

I've been coming here maybe 2-3 times a season since they opened about 12 years ago, but sometimes even 2-3 times A DAY. This is one of the few cafes I can confidently say is innovative while staying true to their classics. The churros are still going strong many years later, but then they're also coming out with fresh seasonal flavors all the time. Some of the best flavors of coffees I've had are at this place: jasmine matcha, maple black walnut, a proper not-too-sweet autumn spice, pistachio rose cardamom, tres leches, etc. They were doing a horchata cold brew before anyone in the area, and their alfajores cookies remain tasty as ever. I always get the espresso drinks, but their drip is great too. Food is awesome, but I wish there were more savory vegetarian options at every cafe. Still, at least it's not the same boring breakfast burrito here; the sage and manchego egg and cheese on sourdough is pretty solid. The pastries and desserts always look and taste fantastic too. live in MD but visit my parents in Stamford often, and Lorca is the spot I always find myself going to first. Plus, there's plenty of space ever since they expanded years ago, so you can bring a book and people watch the busiest street in Stamford. The service is fast, courteous, and friendly. The past few times I've gone they've been pretty slammed. They were quick but seemed maybe one person down? If they're hiring, please work here! I know their winter drinks are going to be just as good, and the holiday season gets busy. I think I need to get another autumn spice latte before I hit the Amtrak.

I have tried a few items like the banana loaf and lemon loaf and they have both been tasty and satisfying with a cup of coffee. We arrived about 20 minutes before closing on Sunday during Memorial Day weekend, which seemed to make the one person working somewhat anxious because she presumably wanted to get her weekend going. They removed the older more visible sign. I wouldn't have purchased anything if I knew since the whole point of the coffee and food was to have a place to work out of the house for an hour or so. I'm told that I can buy one cup of coffee and sit for 4 hours and read a book, I can sit for 4 hours and watch YouTube on my phone or iPad, or I can basically do all manner of reclusive things sitting by myself - but I am not allowed to sit and spend an hour or two writing on my laptop. Only the laptop is anti social, apparently. On days that I work from home, I like to get out of the house for a bit in the morning, enjoy a wonderful Kyoto cold brew and a coffee cake or Cinnamuff, and maybe get a second bite a bit later. And yes, get a bit of work done :) There are plenty of places in the area to go sit for hours and hours of work, so that is never my intent here, but to flat out ban laptops at all hours no matter how empty the store sure seems silly to me. I don't need to spend $15 to take my coffee back home. (I did once try emailing the owner to have a productive discussion on this but was ignored.)
