Place d'Italie Crepe & Jambon Crepe
Chassidie L.

Such a cute French/Parisian style cafe! They have sweet and savory crepes to choose from as well as some coffee, teas, and juices. My partner and I decided to get one sweet and one savory (Jambon & Nutella) and both were equally yummy! Kind of pricey for a crepe, but still a good time. I came here on a Wednesday afternoon and it definitely reminded me of fika time during my trips to Europe. It's peaceful, there's French cafe music, and it feels as if time slowed down while eating here. Note -- street parking, no wifi

Simple menu but the crepe i had was spot on flavorwise. Not too sweet and the cookie flavor very prominent. Expresso was good.

Lovely atmosphere and great crepes! Tintin was amazing and would have gotten a second if I wasn't full. Nutella banana strawberry is a classic that you can't go wrong with. Honey lemon crepe was disappointing (flavors did not mesh well, texture was off). Myself and another group of customers experienced delays in being able to pay, however I think the store was understaffed and our waiter may have gone to use the restroom, which is quite far from the main eating area (however adequately labeled with directions).

Very cute small crepe shop in new haven, ct that reminds me of paris. The food is great but I think it's a bit expensive for how much you're getting. I got the jambon which is simple but delicious. Definitely will come back to try the sweet crepes. Also when you call for the check, they'll bring it out with an actual book rather than your typical clipboard

Always amazing service, amazing food. We went there today with our kids & they loved it as well! Me & my wife have been coming here for the last few years and they never miss a beat.

Came in from out of town and found this little gem near Yale. We all had the Nutella, Banana & Strawberry crepe and cappuccino. We all loved it! The ambience is quaint and comfortable. We highly recommend this Crepe place!

I stepped in here for lunch and it's a cute cafe. The waitress came quickly and was super nice. I ordered orange juice, it wasn't freshly squeezed but it didn't say it was so I can't complain. I ordered the crepe with salmon and it's so delicious. The buckwheat crepe was made to perfection and it had to be the most delicious crepe I had in a while. I will definitely come back here to try some of their other crepes!

Absolutely charming spot w great owner. Feel is very french and the food is of the same quality ! The buckwheat crepe are crunchy and have that lovely almost sour flavor. Cappuccino was gorgeous

If you don't serve iced, don't have it on your board.

Crepes were unremarkable. The espresso is illy, please don't act like it's high quality. Don't put hot or iced on your board if you won't do iced. Orange juice was pretty expensive for not fresh. Restaurant was hot and sticky, mostly uncomfortable seating.

Traditionnnelle Ooh La La! Closest thing to Heaven! The coffee is shockingly good. I love Willoughbys, but this coffee is even better.

A slice of Paris right in New Haven. I was so impressed with my second visit to this wonderful restaurant. These crêpes are so delicious I nearly cried with happiness. The staff were polite, professional, very courteous and helpful. The ambience is ...well what can I say? After all the word is French isn't it? They are from France and it's beautiful. I think I can consider this another home. Please go it's so worth it. Adil and I'm his team are amazing!

We were just in France and this is Very authentic French ... from no ice to une carafe d'eau, no a/c, slow service (not a complaint, just the culture in France) and French music! Not what Americans are used to, but it is truly French. ... except for the jus d'orange (which was always fresh in France, but not here). Needless to say, I do recommend this crêperie for an authentic French experience in New Haven, CT.

I've tried to eat here no fewer than 3 times and it seems that I never catch them when they're open. But Tuesday of this week was MY DAY. This is a place to go when you're not in a hurry and just wanting to catch up with friends. The crepes are not big, more like a snack, so you'll want to get at least two if you actually want a meal. I've never had crepes that marketed themselves as French before, so I don't feel qualified to give an opinion on the crepes other than they're a lot softer and covered in the sauce than I was expecting.

Crepes are excellent and they serve the best espresso drinks I have found in New Haven. Definitely has the French café vibe. Nice!

Is there indoor seating or only out door? And what are the Sunday hours?

Only outdoor seating but they have a great take out option brunch box for $15.

It was delicious, we started with the short rib crepe, having low expectations. It went above and beyond. It was so flavorful and pretty filling. The dubai chocolate strawberry crepe had the perfect crunch and sweetness. I would recommend the bigger size, it was perfect to share. There's a few seated tables, the ambiance isn't too fancy, but does the job. Definitely coming back to treat ourselves another time!

Oh what a delicious dessert to end a birthday with! Totally satisfying!…read more We were initially looking for ice cream places but most were closed at 9pm, then we found this place. The ordering was quick but it took half an hour to prepare. Good break to take a short stroll outside while waiting. The store was full with many people waiting, mostly students. One Crêpe can be shared by two medium built people after dinner because it's very filling. The chocolate nut party was a party in my mouth- gelato was good, mouse truffles were great, nuts were sufficient and the Crêpe itself very fresh. The syrup on the gelato was avoidable. Pocky sticks are fun too. Definitely going to be back here to try the savory versions, and I wish they open a store near Hartford.

It would not have been such an inconvenience if it wasn't raining and there was no place to stand for 2 hours. I hopped back on the subway as my only option as I was hungry, cold and wet. After taking the wrong direction to Marcy Ave and getting back on track decided to come back. Got here and asked for the NY Cheesecake crepe with Carmel instead of chocolate and he said he has to CHARGE me for Carmel instead of chocolate. Huh! I explained that I took the subway twice $3 each way because when I got here, the food delivery truck was outside delivering boxes and the sign said opening a 1 pm. Mind you I already said it was my second time here today when I walked in. Really!?! Terrible customer service!!!!!! I'm from out of town but yikes! I left Times Square to visit this small business in the rain. The $19 crepe was decent.

Being only a few blocks away and rated fairly high, Creperie popped up on my search so I knew I had to stop by on one of my evening walks back from the office. Although a rather tiny little shop, Creperies manages to still have some very limited seating right outside. As well as counter space inside the shop if you don't mind standing and crowding with other people waiting for their orders. I ordered the Strawberry and Banana crepe as it seemed to be a popular option. Size-wise, this crepe is pretty hefty and filling. Comes in an aluminum container so it's much less messy to grab and go. Although sweet, I felt the crepe itself was just ok. Nothing about it really stood out nor made it particularly memorable. They offer both sweet and savory crepes here if you want to make a meal out of it.
