What a disappointment. The ice cream was not that good, and certainly did not have the right consistency of gelato.

I went in personally and spoke with Alex, the floor manager, who was professional and assured me the order would be ready for pickup at 2:30pm the following day. He even took my credit card information to secure the order. In the morning i happened to check my email. I read an email from Alex informing me Gioia would not be able to accommodate my request. After reading the email I did discover Alex left a voicemail at 11pm. In a time-sensitive industry like private aviation, last-minute cancellations create significant unnecessary stress and inconvenience. A follow-up text message after the voicemail would have been appropriate given the urgency and the prior commitment. I appreciate the attempt to notify me. However, once a commitment is made--especially after payment information is taken--it's critical to honor it or exhaust every reasonable effort to do so. I had even offered to compensate the kitchen staff additionally to offset any inconvenience. With a background in culinary arts and restaurant management, I was taught that it's always better to under-promise and over-deliver rather than the reverse. In hospitality, reliability is everything, and word of mouth can either strengthen or damage a business's reputation.

I was looking through the flavors as a person working patiently was waiting for me to make my choice. While I could have sampled I confidently went for a medium salted caramel. The portions are huge. I got a medium cup (up to 3 flavors) for just $5.50!! I came toward the end of the day, so they were out of their tiramisu flavor, but I ended up with guava cheesecake, pistachio, and Oreo--all of which were still delicious. I'll definitely be back to try the tiramisu gelato and their mangonada. Pistachio - One of their most popular flavors, and for good reason. You can taste the real pistachio--no artificial flavor at all. Light, airy, and not overly sweet. I just wish the pistachio flavor was a touch stronger. Guava Cheesecake - My favorite of the day! Tastes exactly like it sounds--sweet guava paired with creamy cheesecake. Reminds me of Porto's Bakery's guava cheese roll. Oreo - Classic Oreo flavor--exactly what you'd expect. Not mind-blowing, but still tasty. Their gelato overall is so airy and fluffy, without the heavy feeling of regular ice cream. Can't wait to come back!

Born in Italy and trained by the best, making gelato isn't his job, it's his calling. You can taste that distinction in every single bite. Mike is constantly developing new recipes, hand-picking fresh fruit at the market, and importing specialty ingredients straight from Italy when he can't find what meets his standards locally. This is a man who simply refuses to cut corners. My family and I have been loyal customers for nearly 8 years, and what's remarkable is that it's just as mind-blowing today as it was the very first time we walked through the door. That kind of consistency is rare -- and it speaks volumes. Over the years, we've brought roughly 40 friends and family members here for the first time. Every single one of them has raved about it. That's not a coincidence. That's excellence. If you're visiting for the first time, do yourself a favor: try the rainbow cookie gelato. You can thank me later. And while many people get it to go, I suggest having it there. The shop is tastefully decorated, it's clean, it's comfortable. For fifteen minutes you'll think you're in Italy. Caffe Italia isn't just the best gelato in the county -- it may very well be the best you'll ever have. Don't walk. Run.

Went there on a beautiful day, a perfect day for ice cream. Going in here is a huge hike for us being that we live 40 miles away. It's always a highlight to go, and we always order large cups when we go. Keep in mind this place is not a bargain, you generally get what you pay for and this place has always been worth it except for this trip. And with all my excitement, I neglected to see how much gelato was left for one of the flavors I ordered, and it was the bottom of the barrel-instead of the young gentleman talking me out of the flavor, he gingerly scraped up with all his might whatever was left in the bottom, then proceeded to ask me if I wanted a flavor that was similar to it... Shame on me I said no, and he proceeded to give me the other flavor I had asked for which is a chocolate brownie. As he scooped, I said you know what give me some of the cappuccino please-he huffed and puffed and arrogantly told me he could no longer do it... Why? You've only done a couple scoops of chocolate what's the big deal. Asking him a question it was like I was asking him a life ending favor. He then huffed as he took my husband's order. As we both ate our ice creams we were very mystified that it was lacking the flavors that it once had. True, we both had tried new flavors that we never had before, but it didn't have the same texture and it was overly sweet. Secondly, my husband got their waffle cone. Now let's talk about how the boy neglectfully scooped that waffle cone... He didn't put any ice cream in the cone only slapped a ball on top - that was it. The ice creams came out to $16 and honestly the waffle cone was flavorless! My husband wound up throwing it away as it probably was one of the worst waffle clones he's ever had. Maybe we need a break but we definitely need a break from that young gentleman who took our order... He needs a little polish refresher course on how to be a little more cordial and Little accommodating. Thank God for the tip cup! As for the parking, it's hell, absolutely satanic but that is not reflective of the rating. You are at the mercy of street parking and not easy to find.
