Thank you, Yelp, for steering me to this sandwich shop while visiting Yale. It's a cute, cheery place with kind service and exceptionally good food! I left with half of my sandwich because the portions were so large, and those sweet potato fries - so yummy! My mouth is watering just thinking about my gluten-free sandwich.

Wonderful lunch spot! After seeing the 30-35min wait time when you order online I decided to walk right in. The service was friendly and prompt and I only had to wait a few minutes for my delicious warm grain bowl! I got the special of the day which was a Gyro bowl- it was amazing. Will return again and again. No wonder this place is always so busy!

Was not what we expected. Counter service , very pleasant. Very clean. Wide mouth sandwich was not great. Needed to be toasted more. The scone did not seem fresh. Paper cup self serve hot drinks.

We've been to Zoi's twice now--once for breakfast and once for lunch, and both times were fantastic. The food is hearty, homemade, and delicious, the kind that makes you feel instantly at home. The owner and staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. My daughter is a slow reader and we do not want to hold the line up. The owner take our order by hand so we do not have to go back and wait in line another time. This is the kind of spot you want to keep coming back to, and we definitely will be soon!

While visiting New Haven we stopped in for an early breakfast at Zoi's. The parking was fine on the street at 9am but I expect that the parking would be difficult on the street at a later hour. Luckily, there is a garage across the street. Zoi's is a very charming local restaurant, friendly, handsome and clean and nicely lit. Nice college vibe too. They take your order from the front counter and promptly deliver it to your table. I had the Sweet Pete: Bacon, eggs, cheese with caramelized onions on pumpernickel bread breakfast sandwich which was savory and fresh. My wife had a simple combo with the best home fries she's ever had - and considering we are active tristate diner goers, that is a major compliment. The coffee was fresh and rich. We're rarely in the area but I know we'll return to sample the extensive menu.

Stopped in for lunch and ordered the Greek salad. It was very fresh and delicious! The place was busy and packed, yet the service was thorough and good. Will be back again, I'm craving that salad!

The best and largest sandwiches available to mankind. Family owned small business. Ordered the lumberjack. Your welcome. The sandwich is large enough to feed an entire village, but it's absolutely delicious and it's not over priced. Talk about bang for your buck. Old school dining. Great service.

Great spot with great sandwiches and other offerings. Their salad was huge and we enjoyed the chicken salad sandwiches and chicken fingers and fries. All was fresh. Service was super friendly and helpful. Plenty of Indoor space and small outdoor seating.

Stopped in after jury duty for lunch. I celebrated for not being chosen for a case. Had a simple grilled cheese that was delicious, came with a pickle and a side of potato salad. All was good and the price was perfect. Loved the environment, spacious plenty of room to pick the perfect table, had a few outdoor tables and a patio. Service was wonderful, plenty of staff to keep the lines moving all greeted you with a smile.

Order an Italian cold-cut sandwich. It should be a vegan sandwich. This had the least amount of cold-cut meat of any sandwich I have EVER purchased, all for a bargain price of $16.00. This isn't the first time. Never again.

    Thanksgiving on a roll

Tried this spot for the 1st time via UberEats. And I must say they had me at Thanksgiving on a roll. The sandwich was so good the flavors of the turkey, stuffing and Cranberry sauce came together so perfectly. The salad was filled with hearty spring mix and the grilled chicken was very good. Order was delivered in proper fashion. Will try to stop in the store front and check out more lunch options from Zoi on Grove!

I'm a big bagel stickler and having just arrived from NYC, I thought I've seen it all. My best friend suggested Olmo, claiming that their bagel is the best she's ever had. In truth, I didn't believe her, but i walk away from this experience as an Olmo diehard fan. Their bagels are absolutely brilliant. Tens, elevens even, across the board. I've truly never had anything like it. Their flavors are unique with a Zaatar and Cacio bagel; candidly, I was too much of a purist to try them this time around and opted for the safe yet mildly experimental Rosemary bagel. Stop everything you're doing. Book the flight. Try this. Its crust is crackly with a bubbly top, almost akin to that of high quality sourdoughs, yet the interior is plush with a quintessentially dense bagel crumb. God, there's no limit to the amount of praises I can sing about this. The flavors with the okonomiyaki are well balanced also with the sweet tangy bbq contrasting the luscious, creamy egg omelette. It's really REALLY hard to choose a favorite though as I tried their lox, okonomiyaki, white fish, and cinnamon raisin shmear, and all of them were excellent in their own right. The workers are also incredibly kind and accommodating, working fast to complete every order efficiently. Olmo's so good I had four of their bagels within a 24 hour period. Does it really get any better than this?

Narang is a developer while Ginnetti is a restauranteur that also owns the cocktail bar 116 Crown as well as the sandwich shop Meat & Co. The old industrial building which now houses the market was the WWI-era Marlin Arms factory. Now known as East Rock Center, Narang's family has owned the building for over three decades. He brought in a few businesses over the years to fill the space, including East Rock Brewing Company, mActivity Fitness Center, and Rebel Hair Salon. Unfortunately, Narang could not find the right tenant for the full-service restaurant he envisioned. He then teamed up with Ginnetti to open New Haven's first food hall: a collaboration between local chefs and entrepreneurs. As of this writing, the food hall's current tenants are Meat & Co., Ground Up Coffee, Ozzy's Apizza, Rockfish Maki Bar, Don Rene Taqueria, and Rick's Bar. My older son and I recently stopped at East Rock Market for lunch. I had been meaning to stop by for some time. East Rock Market is a lot smaller than other food halls that I've been to in the past, but all of the tenants here are fantastic. There are so many great options for consumers: New Haven-style pizza, tacos, sushi, gourmet sandwiches, specialty coffee, hand-rolled bagels, and craft cocktails. There's also plenty of seating (both inside and outside). You can even order food to go and take it with you to East Rock Brewing, which is conveniently located next door. My son and I loved all of the options, but we decided to order a couple of delicious pies from Ozzy's Apizza. They were excellent! Nice time we stop in, we're interested in trying out some tacos from Don Rene Taqueria. Regardless of what you're looking for, East Rock Market is sure to have you covered!
