What a nice find. My wife and I were in the area and were looking for a deli type restaurant for a quick sandwich. I saw their sign outside but the place looked "old" and "worn". I checked them on Yelp and saw the great reviews, as well as advice to not judge this place by its exterior. We walked inside and were instantly greeted by a waitress . Nice clean place in a mostly empty strip mall. First noticed this place because of all the cars in front of one place. This place does breakfast the way a diner should. Very reasonable priced foods and great menu choices. We had the egg Benedict and corned beef omelet. Both were great size and came with home fries and choice of toast. Both were delicious. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside, it's nicely set up: booths, tables, a counter you can sit at. Everything is clean plus it looks like it was recently updated. AND they serve BREAKFAST ALL DAY!! Since I can eat breakfast anytime that's music to my ears! The server came over right away with a menu and coffee. We're off to a vert good start. Stopped in for a quick breakfast with a friend to start the day. Got there before her and was greeted immediately with a friendly smile and offered a table and a cup of tea. I ordered the floretine omelet and it was fabulous. Staff were so helpful and busy as bees. Seemed like several regulars enjoy dining there as staff knew names and held little conversations. The place is in an area that was once thriving but is now run down on the outside. Inside however was great, nice and clean, tastefully decorated and our service was a 100. Do not be discouraged by the outside and the look of an abandoned parking lot! Yes, the building looks so sad, with empty shops and the only thing open was a liquor store and this restaurant. But I'm so glad my husband was so open minded as we were on the hunt for some lunch in the area. The moment you walk in, it's a whole other vibe. Clean. spacious. The menu had so many options. Breakfast and typical diner food. They have great breakfast specials, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Almost so low that I'm wondering how are they staying in business? But, they must get alot of breakfast traffic. We came during lunch.. around 2pm on a sunday. It wasnt busy at all. One or two other tables filled. I got the turkey club triple decker with fries. Hubby got the roast beef triple decker with sweet potato fries. Both hit the spot! And we were able to have plenty of leftovers. They're definitely very generous in the meat portions. Coffee was brought over quickly, as well as menus. The breakfast menu has tons of offerings making it hard to choose. I went with an omelet (tomato and Swiss), home fries and wheat toast. Everything was served hot; the omelet was fluffy (all omelets are made with 3 eggs) and had a perfect amount of cheese and tomato inside. The home fries were tasty as well. My first venture out to eat since covid and I ended up here with my brother because they had outdoor seating. Sat outside for 10 minutes waiting for service during which time a waitress brought food to another party sitting at another outside table. Looking through the window I saw only two tables with customers and two waitresses. I noticed one of the waitresses look at me so I figured I would finally be waited upon, only to see her take out her rag and start wiping off the empty tables! They must be doing hella business since they can afford to ignore paying customers. Thankfully there was a very nice diner 5 minutes away with outdoor seating, who's staff was very handsomely tipped for their excellent service and good food! read more

My rating is solely based on the food because both times I've visited the food was exceptional. However, when I visited today (12/24) one of the waitresses working would not stop complaining about people calling in, the number of orders and about her family drama for the holidays. The owner of this cafe is nice and the food is good, but the staff is arrogant and rude. I was there yesterday, went in to pay for my order placed over the phone, there was a middle age woman who barely acknowledged me and didn't say anything back when I was very polite saying "please" and "thank you". I am not over-sensitive and I know to some people they ma believe I am overreacting but I am sorry... this it irritates me.... people who work directly with customers do not have basic customer service skills and why is it so hard to say "you are welcome", when you thank them for your service. Never again! Tried this place twice. The last time (and I do mean it will be the LAST time), we went in on a Saturday early afternoon and were barely greeted by a surly older waitress. Glass of milk (specified NOT for coffee) came out in a creamer, eggs ordered without onions came WITH onions, hot dogs had sauerkraut missing. This is where one would normally ask the waitress to fix the issues, but she NEVER came back to ask if things were ok (there was hardly any other tables there, so she was not busy). We managed to eat most of our mediocre, not-as-ordered food. She never offered to refill coffee either. When she put check on table sullenly without so much as a thank you or any comment we were flabbergasted by her rudeness. When she came by the table to water nearby plants and completely ignored us it was unbelievable. Let me just say that we are respectful and friendly and this type of "service" was completely uncalled for. The man (owner?) at the cash register was friendly, but also did not ask how things were (perhaps if we could have told him would not feel compelled to write a review). The service was so bad, it will surely cost him more than just a few customers (perhaps the unfriendly waitress is a relative? can't see any other reason to let her work there). The first time the service (a young waitress) was friendly, although the main reason we ordered the way we did was to try the grits and when the order came out, we were THEN told they were out.
