Stopped in for a quick breakfast with a friend to start the day. Got there before her and was greeted immediately with a friendly smile and offered a table and a cup of tea. I ordered the floretine omelet and it was fabulous. Staff were so helpful and busy as bees. Seemed like several regulars enjoy dining there as staff knew names and held little conversations. Very welcoming environment, will be coming back.

I stumbled upon this on Yelp and was so glad I did! My husband and I and one of our daughters went on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The place is in an area that was once thriving but is now run down on the outside. Inside however was great, nice and clean, tastefully decorated and our service was a 100. The prices were reasonable and our food was good. I had an egg & cheese on a hard roll with avocado and a side of home fries. My husband had French toast, our daughter got a combo of eggs, toast, home fries, and pancakes.

Breakfast on the way

Nice, friendly, busy hide away. Only the locals know about this hidden gem. I had the Going Green Omelet; asparagus, broccoli, spinach and avocado with 3 eggs, that and home fries - $10 ... it was awesome and fast too!

Clean and spacious

Do not be discouraged by the outside and the look of an abandoned parking lot! Yes, the building looks so sad, with empty shops and the only thing open was a liquor store and this restaurant. But I'm so glad my husband was so open minded as we were on the hunt for some lunch in the area. The moment you walk in, it's a whole other vibe. Clean. spacious. The menu had so many options. Breakfast and typical diner food. They have great breakfast specials, and the prices are extremely reasonable. Almost so low that I'm wondering how are they staying in business? But, they must get alot of breakfast traffic. We came during lunch.. around 2pm on a sunday. It wasnt busy at all. One or two other tables filled. I got the turkey club triple decker with fries. Hubby got the roast beef triple decker with sweet potato fries. Both hit the spot! And we were able to have plenty of leftovers. They're definitely very generous in the meat portions. The service was friendly. Felt very family-owned vibe. Definitely will come back to try breakfast options!

Best breakfast I've had in a while! Everything here is super fresh & delicious. The fruit salad is made fresh every day and isn't a premade fruit salad like some dinners have. The owner & workers are super friendly and welcoming. They are also extremely affordable for such high quality food! I can't wait to come back.

Delicious! Single pancake with FRESH blueberries.

I'm thrilled to have stumbled upon a gem like this. Great food, even better service. Small town feel and the folks are happy to be here.

Onto Yelp and we find Brazzas. 4-1/2 stars on 55 reviews - let's look. The place is nice, but unassuming. We walked up to the counter and the friendly lady and gentleman (I'd guess husband and wife) cheerfully took our order - a whole chicken dinner. We were told it would be about 15 minutes for a chicken to be ready and we agreed to wait. How can you complain about getting fresh food? We got our chicken that came with a salad with avocado and rice and beans. The beans were not your typical Latin beans. These were white beans that were not swimming in sauce. The salad was nothing special, but was fresh. The chicken was excellent! Well cooked, juicy and tasty. The green sauce for the chicken was terrific too, not too spicy as some tend to be. I'm happy to add Brazzas to our Connecticut 95 food list!

Salmon was served hot off the grill with some charred skin , served with thin tomato based sauce. Mussels were very tender and fresh. Chicken was grilled and served cut into small pieces. Mixed grill. We had chips with two types of salsa and rice and beans too. I think you can get salad instead of the rice & beans.

I'd seen this place recommended on Yelp a few times but had never made it over until today. When we walked in, we honestly thought they were closed because there was only one four-top occupied and one person sitting at the bar. We grabbed a table for two, and I started with a mimosa while my sister ordered a coffee before eventually joining me with a mimosa. She had the OG breakfast sandwich, a classic that really hit the spot. I ordered the Madame Monsieur with fries, and everything was cooked perfectly. The food tasted fresh and made to order, which is always appreciated. Our server, Angelina, also made an excellent mimosa the orange juice to Prosecco ratio was just right (a small detail that makes a big difference!). Service was on the slower side, but from what we could tell, Angelina was the only server working, so it was understandable. The restaurant itself is small, cozy, and has the charm of a little café, making it a nice place to enjoy a relaxed brunch. Overall, a very enjoyable first visit. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.

We walked in with no reservation on Valentine's Day (bold), and the manager couldn't have been more welcoming. Super friendly, got us seated quickly, and set the tone right away. That kind of hospitality matters. The vibe? Cool, modern, slightly moody -- perfect accidental Valentine's dinner energy. The service was on point all night. Attentive, smooth, and genuinely warm. Now let's talk about the moment that activated my Dominican DNA. I ordered the Sweet Plantains with Cilantro Aioli as an appetizer and when I saw plátanos on that menu? República Dominicana presente. . I felt seen. For my main, I had the Temple Salad and added a burger patty (because balance is important ). Fresh, flavorful, satisfying. My son ordered a burger with truffle fries and I am STILL thinking about those fries today. Crispy. Perfect salt. That truffle flavor hit just right. Those fries deserve their own review. And because it was Valentine's Day and I believe in celebrating myself too, I had the Pineapple Express. Divine. Tropical. Smooth. The kind of drink that keeps the gozadera going. From IKEA chaos to Prime BGR glow-up in under an hour. Great food. Great vibe. Great service. New Haven confirmed it. The dining room was so loud esp when the bartenders were shaking drinks as if they were starring with Tom Hanks in "cocktail" We had the pea salad which was very fibrous and chewy (a 10 second Blanche wouldn't hurt) and the burger was tasty but served with frozen French fries, and way too much of them. Considering the style of menu, frozen fries don't belong on the menu. The fish was overcooked and dry. Overall, it's an inconsistent experience. Dinner for 3 was $200 with 1 shared app, 2 burgers and the fish course plus 3 drinks.

This is something you would get as part of your dinner experience in another restaurant. Especially none of the meals come with a salad. My appetizer was the Stacks. It was 4 slices of beet and a very small serving of Burrata. In was good, however it should have had a bigger portion of cheese. It was so small, you could not get the effect of the cheese. My main meal was the Pasta Board. I told the waiter that I didn't want the pasta on a board and wanted in bowls, which they did. I could not imagine eating this off a board. The sauces were good and the portion size for the red sauces good, however the white sauce was one was very small. For dessert I had the ice cream with espresso. Waitress said it came with seasonal vegetables to include squash etc, it didn't. It had kalamata olives and lots of capers. It made for a salty bite every time. I picked out all the capers. It was a very small portion of fish and risotto for $40. The farro salad, we added ahi tuna. Tuna had no flavor, no seasoning or crust. Very little farro or butternut, mostly lettuce. Cuban, heavy bread ratio. Otherwise was good. Three drinks were good: passionfruit mojito, guava coco margarita, were the average price for a drink out these days. The Oxford spritz was $25 dollars--that's insane... if we knew that price, would never have ordered. Apps: king pao dumplings, wish I took a picture -- they were beyond mini. Waste of money IMO. Yuca fries were a little undercooked to be creamy (we've had them other places better). Shrimp tacos were good. On a Friday night: only two tables outside were filled, 3 other tables inside besides ours from 630/830. When they first opened, you couldn't get in without a reservation as people were getting in to try it. My guess is people aren't returning. We wouldn't either unfortunately. Restaurant scene is competitive in Branford and for price and portion, it's just not gonna meet the mark--in my opinion
